    This model NV501 lacks the ability to vacuum under any furniture. For example, you can't vacuum under your chairs, sofa or bed because of how it is made and more importantly this units lacks a powered lift-away. It is not clearly stated or obvious this unit has certain limitations based on the literature or advertising. If you want to "power vacuum" your carpet under furniture then this unit is NOT for you. Another problem is the unit lacks three accessories that BB's website states comes with it. It does not have the "pet upholstery tool, straight nozzle, Power Pet brush" that they say is included! I returned my purchase because of all these problems.

    I really like this vacuum... two things i wish were different... it needs a retractable power chord... and it would be better if the attachments could be stored on board the vacuum. I do live how it deaches to do stairs and awkward spaces

    We owned a Shark for 7 years previously and only replaced it because the wheel would no longer stay on. It seems like the newer one does not pick up dirt and debris as quickly as the older one. I find myself going over the same spots a couple of times to get everything up. Still a great pick in the under $200 category.
