Shark 1, Dyson 0. The Shark is head and shoulders above the much-touted and overpriced Dyson (which we sadly owned at one point). This Shark cleans spectacularly and is so easy to use. High marks in my book!

This vacuum is very light but is a great multi tasker from floor to ceiling sofas to stairs. We owned other more expensive vacuums but in reality this shark does a great job on our hardwood floors and ceramic tile. The shark has a long enough cord you don't need to move the plug for every room. The accessories are adequate and useful to handle any household. My only issue is the tool caddie doesn't hold all the accessories but it's ok because the tools it holds work on multiple tasks. Check this vacuum out if you haven't thought of or have yet! Worth the buy.

I will not buy any other brand other than Shark from here on out. A fraction of the cost of a dyson, and much better performance. My only regret is ever buying a dyson. I highly recommend this to everyone

The Shark Rotator Lift-Away Professional 3-in-1 self-propelled vacuum is probably the BEST vacuum that I have had in the last 35 years. I have purchased every brand manufactured and, to date, the Shark has out-performed every one of the other brands. It is the lightest in weight and yet has cleaned both carpeting and wood floors the best of any vacuum previously owned. It came with an additional attachment to use for upholstery cleaning; an attachment that I have never had before but will certainly find much use for with our pets. The Shark Rotator is also unique as it can be used as an upright vacuum or it can be used in tight places by lifting the canister away from the base of the upright or even as a rolling canister vacuum. This vacuum is also one of the few that I found that is self-propelled; a feature that I find most helpful when vacuuming a large home. There is no bag that needs to be changed but simply the canister to empty when the light indicates that it's time to do so. You simply remove the canister to empty and open from the top or bottom and then replace the canister after emptying. No matter which way this Shark is used, I have found it to be a totally effective cleaning machine and I fully recommend it to any one looking to purchase a new vacuum.

Bought this Shark vacuum after our carpets were cleaned to replace an old bag-type Orrek. After the first pass it filled the canister with cat hair the carpet cleaners had failed to pick up. Easy to assemble and use, and very efficient.

The vacuum itself is great. Powerful, easy to clean, works well, and has tons of attachments. You can pull this thing off the lower part which is great for stairs or to clean the car. My issue is that it is extremely tipsy and falls over all the time. Nothing has broken yet but you need to watch it. It does include a larger stable base but it is annoying to have to detach bases every time you are done using it. Had it for several months and it is going strong. I do wish it had some height adjustments. 10/10 for having TONS of accessories for cleaning different types of surfaces. If anything it has too many attachments so good luck finding a place to store them! The vacuum can hold 2 small accessories on the body but it includes at least 6 plus the interchangeable base. It's easy to control which is nice. I'm coming from a Dyson DC25

Absolutely love this vacuum! Includes a ton of attachments that get every job done. Best vacuum we've ever had. The one time you can say something totally sucks and it's a GREAT thing. Ok maybe not the one time depending on your wife

I have owned many vacuums over the years and this vacuum is by far the best. It is versatile, lightweight and easy to use. The suction is unbelievable and being a pet owner that is a big plus. When I first brought this vacuum home I did a little test just to see if it was as good as I had been told. I vacuumed a section of rug with my old vacuum and then went over the same area with the Shark. I couldn't believe the results. I actually had debri going into the canister even though I had just vacuumed with my old vacuum. Just love this machine.

So many different ways to use this vacuum, and it never loses power. I can go from hardwood floors to carpet/rugs easily. And then easily switch to vacuuming my sofa and chairs! I LOVE the Shark!

Where has this vacuum been all my life? Before I picked up this vacuum I thought I would treat myself to a new dyson, a brand which I had for years. I got the D60 home, assembled it, and it would not turn on. After scouring the internet for some answers I received a ton of bad reviews. That made up my mind and I took the vacuum back to best but and brought home the Shark which was like $100 less and is my dream vacuum. I love it and I will never buy a dyson ever again.

My vacuum died; it worked well and had a good pet attachment, but it was heavy. I wanted a replacement that would work as well and be lightweight. We pulled this out of the box and put it to work. Love it. Now upstairs will be as clean as downstairs.

I love it! Its light but feels heavy because it has so much suction when running. It picks up more than my hoover ever did.

I used the item only one time, was very impressed by the pick up ability. Shark is my usual go to brand. Easy to buy accessories and replacement parts.

Easy to use. Light weight, great for vacuuming stairs. Tools on board. Cleans well. Easy to go from carpet to wood.

It is very lite and maneuverable. It picks up more dirt than my Dyson animal that I have had for years and it costs a lot less than my Dyson did. .

I owned a pretty good vacuum and vacuumed and damp mopped with regularity. I also live with a Norwegian forest cat. While cleaning this winter I noticed a layer of fine fur on everything including vacuumed surfaces. My friends with multiple animals and super busy not focused on deep cleaning lives are developing alergies to their pets. I was starting to sneeze ALOT. Must not challenge my immune system with an allergy. ENTER BEST BUY LOOKING FOR SOLUTION Leave with this vacuum . after gliding over just three 5x7 ft rugs ONE POUND of very fine fur! YIKES with every manner of attatchment I am out of danger my immune system is protected . I like this vacuum .

I’ve had a Dyson for years but could not justify the price of the newer models, so I tried this Shark and was extremely pleased with the performance. It does what a vacuum should do...suck up dirt, dust and pet hair in between professional cleanings. Still amazes me how I can fill up the canister from even the low traffic areas every day! I assume the HEPA works fine as don't do pre and post air sampling...so no complaints. It’s easy to operate and maneuverable around furniture. Only ding, is that the lift away caddy displayed with the vacuum is sold separately and you don’t realize if don’t buy the caddy, that convenience of the “lift away” goes away when you have to carry the attachments around and find a place to store them when not in use.

Has great suction power and leaves a clean overall appearance to the carpet. Although I find it inconvenient to have to remove the pod from the floor nozzle and place it on the canister caddy to use the attachments. If left on the floor nozzle while using the attachments it tips over very easy. (While vacuuming the couch cushions it fell over and hit me in the head.)

My wife and I went shopping for vacuums and we found this one at Best Buy. My wife liked it but honestly, I wasn't all that impressed seeing it in the store. I was aiming more toward the Dysons but my wife liked this Shark because of the significant price difference. She finally talked me into it and we took it home. I was a little more impressed after I unpackaged it as it was very intuitive. Even though it had several parts, it was super easy to put together and operate. I started vacuuming the house with it, truthfully so I could have something to complain about, but I have to admit I was immediately impressed with it. I had only vacuumed the house two days prior with our old vacuum and was amazed (and a bit horrified) by how much dust, dirt and pet hair the Shark picked up from what I had thought were clean carpets. I was also surprised to find that it help clear up my sinus trouble I had been having because of our house cat. Anyway, long story short, this Shark vacuum far exceeded my expectations!
