Very easy to handle, light weight, love that you can quickly detach to use as another style of vacuum. Easy to detach & dump waste container. Almost moves on it's own. Not as bulky as my old vacuum or as heavy. Amazing how much more is vacuumed up compared to my other vacuum. Does will with pet hair.

I had high hopes for this vacuum. I t was every thing i wanted. When it arrived the wand assembly release button was broken and would not lock wand to base. After reviewing others I found this to be coming issue. Hopefully they fix for future model and I will try again.

a bit heavier than i thought. does not work as i expected

What was I looking for? Good suction, ease of use, eliminate bag purchases, and to use it mainly as a rolling canister vacuum in my 2 story house with all hardwoods and throw rugs. It checks most of the boxes. What a shame that the hose is so short that it makes the rolling canister use too awkward. If you don't have a bad back and don't mind just carrying the cannister then it would be just fine.

I’d give it 0 stars if I could. It never picked up like it should have and then just stopped working on me one day. Only 3 months old. I could just cry!!! Maybe I just got a dud. Not worth the money spent. I’m going back to Dyson

I've had expensive, mid-priced & cheap vacuums over the years. None of them cleaned better than this Shark. It's relatively simple to use and it's pretty light too. I have some gripes: The hose isn't long enough. The brush attachment sux (very cheap & ineffective). It should be easier to expose the roller brush for cleaning. My 501 started flaking out after 18 months. Sometimes it would turn on, other times not so much as a blink. It got progressively worse so I called customer service earlier today. They did their customer verification efficiently, then I was guided through several steps to see if there were any obstructions or other easy to resolve issues (nope). After a few minutes, it was declared dead. I was issued a return shipping label to send the old unit back. A new Shark will arrive in 7 - 10 days. I did have to fork over $21.00 for shipping the new unit to me - but I feel like that's perfectly reasonable for a new (replacement) $250 - $300 vac. AND, there was no hassle, no going to the Manager for approval. Put simply, there were no games. One or I didn't time the call but I'd estimate that it took about 10 minutes. The CSR I spoke with was very pleasant & apologized several times for the device failure & corresponding inconvenience. Certainly not the highlight of my day, but when you consider the abysmal state of customer service one so frequently encounters, I consider this shocking - in a good way. It was a premature product failure, but Shark is certainly standing behind their product. You can bet that the next vacuum I buy will be a Shark.

I’ve had 4 sharks and they don’t make it passed a year thank god I Buy they plan but the last time it didn’t even last 30 days I switched to a bissel and so far so good!

This is one of the worst purchases I have ever made. It did not clean well. I had to unclog it after a couple of uses. I would not recommend this to anyone. I gave up on it and have already replaced it and am happy to be rid of it.

This is the second Shark lift away I have bought. My old one is still going strong in my son's home.

I would highly recommend the Shark. I had been comparing it with another top brand vacuum and the reviews don't lie! I use this on my hardwood, vinyl, carpet, upholstery, you name it! It sucks up EVERYTHING, I'm talking about big objects, little, objects, anything. I have a dog and a cat and this vacuum gets all of the hair sucked up easily. It cam with great attachments that helps reach every nook and cranny in the house. I love it! And the filter is washable, plus bagless!

I've only owned this for a few days, so I can't speak for the longevity, but this vacuum is amazing! We have 2 cats and all hardwoods, but vacuum are few rugs about every other day, the first time we used this we filled the canister! All the dirt we've been missing over the years was in there. The house feels so much cleaner. It does an amazing job. The attachments are great, especially the pet hair one. I bought this for the "lift away" feature for doing the stairs, its a tad heavy if you're on the weaker side, but not bad.

I think the Shark Rotator is a good product. The suction quality is good, the multiple filters are easy to clean and access (do remember to clean them once in a while) and the vacuum isn't horribly noisy. If you run over something like a shoe string accidentally, the motor overload turns off the beater bar quickly. The dust canister is easy to see and get into. Overall it all works well. There are a few nits I can pick. I wish the cord exited the casing of the vacuum near the handle rather than down low. If you don't hold the cord in your hand (up by the handle) it is easy to trip on or run over. Thankfully the vacuum doesn't grab the cord and I often push the vacuum over the cord if it is in my path to no harm. I sometimes hit the lift away button accidentally and I personally never found myself wanting to use the wheeled caddy thing. It doesn't really give you canister vac type performance (the hose doesn't get longer and you can't use the power head it all in that config) so I never saw the point. Still, I think the Rotator holds its own against other mass market vacuum cleaners. Ours creaks and groans when folding into the standing position and when torquing on the handle to maneuver but I see no evidence that anything is about to break even though it makes some creaking noises.

It's an ok vacuum. It's not worth the money in my opinion.

Totally disappointed in this products. I bought this item with the recommendation of the sales person who apparently had it and loved it but when I got to the parking lot and assembled it it broke before I even got out of the parking lot. Went back in to exchange for another one and that broke within days I don't recommend this product it all

Recently purchased this vacuum and I am so pleased. I have owned 2 dysons in the past and this surpassed my expectations. Easy to set up, easy to maneuver and the attachments are great. Easy to empty and so easy to do stairs and hardwoods with the lift away feature. Would definitely recommend this vacuum to anyone. Well worth the money!

Just had to replace my second one. The brush stopped working.

I bought my first Shark 2 years ago. They have a 5 year warranty, however for the life of me I could not get anyone to help me with the existing problem I had at Shark. I had to get a new one because we had people coming over and needed to vacuum the house. Because of price, I decided to stick with Shark instead of going with Dyson even though Shark had already proven not to be trustworthy regarding the warranty piece of it. This vacuum cleaner is amazing, much better than the last Shark I had. It's only been about a month, but so far it has exceeded all of my expectations. Again, be very careful regarding the warranty - they claim 5 years but it literally seems like it can take more than 5 years to get a hold of anyone! But for less than $220, this is really a great vacuum!
