purchased this based on reviews here, on cnet and other review sites. The modular nature of this vacuum is great. Being able to detach it to become a carry canister is ideal for stairs and hard wood floors. The suction works well and it costs MUCH less than a Dyson. The only reason I knocked it down a star (or really half a star) is because of the double edged sward... it comes with a lot of attachments that don't store on the vacuum itself. However, there are SO many attachments, you wouldn't actually WANT to store them all on the vacuum or else it would be so bulky you'd never want to use it. But it would be nice if Shark provided a nice zippered bag to store all of the attachments in a closet without worrying about losing individual pieces.

Best one I've ever owned. Very easy to switch flooring types and to use the wand. It's amazing (and gross) what you'll be able to get out of your carpet. Upholstery tool works surprisingly well, too.

This is my second shark vacuum. The suction is great and leaves nice tracks on the carpet. Very easy to use. Cord is long enough to get me around most room. Good vacuum for the price!

Powerful and versatile, this vacuum does great on carpet and hardfloor. We don't have pets, but it doesn't seem to have the issues with hair like our past vacuum (different brand). The attachments are great too.

That was my first Shark. Can't live without my vacuum cleaner now. Very versatile yet powerful. I use it for the carpet and hardwood floor. It has very convenient features. I may have become a vacuum freak.

I've had my eye on this vacuum for several months and was cautiously eager when I finally ordered it. My housekeeper had just been here to clean the day before it arrived, so I decided to put it to "the test". I selected the master bedroom area for my test area and, you would not have believed the (actual) half cup of dirt and debris my new vacuum cleaned up. My housekeeper is an excellent cleaner but her relatively new vacuum just didn't pass. It is also easy to manage and change from one feature to the next. My home has never been so clean! I would recommend this to anybody with pets.great on all surfaces and very quiet. Easy to clean and even the wand has great functionality. Excellent value for the money.
