We looked at many Vacuums including Dyson units. I read the reviews between Dyson and Shark, and was able to try a Dyson. Hands down, this SHARK PROFESSIONAL was better than paying the added money for the Dyson name. This unit sucks up EVERYTHING in it's path! Pet hair doesn't stand a chance against it. It may be slightly heavier than most Vacuums, but I don't see it as a disadvantage. TRY IT, You'll LOVE it!

Move!s easy and has great suction compared to others I have returned! I love that I can break this vacuum down to use as a canister!

This is my second shark vacuum (my kids broke the first one) I honestly have never seen a vacuum that picks up so much. I have a dog that sheds like there’s no tomorrow, yet this vacuum is always up to the task. I strongly recommend this vacuum!!

Read favorable reviews before we purchased, so thought I'd give it a try...and let me tell you I didn't realize exactly how bad our old vacuum had gotten! We have quite a few animals in our house, not to mention kids, so there is plenty of hair and dirt to keep ahead of. We had just vacuumed our master bedroom numerous times and then cleaned the carpets, but this vacuum picked up quite a bit that both had missed! It's even better than the Dyson we owned in the past. Have had for about 6 months now and still works as good as the day we bought it. Definitely recommend!

A new vacuum for a new apartment. Even though the carpets had been "professionally cleaned" before I moved in, I ran the brand new vacuum over them. An amazing (or disappointing) amount of dirt, fibers, and hair were sucked up by this beast. Assembly was incredibly simple, no screws just a series of clicks and it was ready to go. The included tools are great and emptying the canister is very simple. My only minor complaint is that I wish the hose was a bit longer.

Very pleased with this purchase. Vacuum is picking up dirt and dust we didn't know was buried deep in carpet. Works well on pet hair and cat litter, we have three cats. Almost went with a Dyson, but gave this one a shot because of the positive reviews. Glad we did!

Strong power that maintains with further usage. The container storing the dust is easy to empty out. It's not too heavy with respect to its functionality.

Best vacuum I have ever owned! Small and fairly lightweight and easy to maneuver but with great suction and cleaning power. I would buy another one today if I needed one. Thanks!!

We've had a Kenmore for a number of years that has been working just fine. My only problem with it is it's heavy and the canister doesn't detach for easy operation on steps. I'd read great things about Shark brand vacuums and asked a neighbor who cleans homes for a living. She loves her Shark so after researching different models within my budget, I chose this one. I'm still confused about all the models but I think this one is great so far. One thing that stood out with our last vacuum is the suction was noticeably stronger than one we had prior to that . I haven't noticed the Shark being any better than our Kenmore. HOWEVER, the hepa filter isn't blowing out debris everywhere which I know is a huge advantage. I like all the attachments and find them useful when vacuuming my vehicle, stairs and furniture. Time will tell if this holds up but so far..a good investment.

I recently bought this about a month ago when my not so trusty Hoover decided to quit on me. I liked the looks and features of this one as well as the great price offered from BestBuy. Its simple to use, light, and has a great suction that picks up all my pet hair and especially this time of year the sand and rock salt due to the harsh winter. The wand easily comes off and is ready to use and the cool feature of the lift of section makes this very portable. Seeing what you have for dirt in the clear canister is cool and emptying it is a piece of cake.

I bought this machine 3 weeks ago. The suctions is great. I can vacuum under the chairs and under the bed without any struggling. Easy to assemble. A++++

The ability to detach from the base unit is nice. Emptying the canister is very easy. And it sucks up a considerable amount of dust. That said, the brush roll feature tends to stop and the vacuum seems a tad bit rough with maneuvering on non-carpet flooring.

I'd been hesitant to buy the Shark Pro for a while due to fact that all the vacuums I've owned in the past did not live up to the bill. The shark pro was easy to setup and use and the suction was powerful. I was surprised at the amount of dirt that it picked up. Best vacuum so far!

Suction great, accessories great for many different jobs

This vacuum is wonderful. I had just vacuumed with my previous vacuum before buying the Shark and vacuumed again with the new vacuum. The dirt cup was full after doing half the living room floor. I will always buy a Shark. Worth every penny.

We bought this vacuum for our new Pilates studio, which has both tile and carpeted areas. It is light weight but powerful, and does a great job!

The vacuum performs its job well. Bright lights lead the way and it has the ability to turn the roller on or off for different surfaces. The vacuum can also be switched from upright to canister to suit your needs and includes attachments to make jobs easier.

Simple to use, performs well, quick and easy to break down and reassemble, and looks good.This is the first vacuum I've bought and I'm happy with it.
