Lots of flexibility in usage

The handle detacts to become a wand and reach far corners. Or you can remove the canister from the floor nozzle, put it on a caddy, and use it as a canister vac with the handle removed. I also like that you can turn off the brush in the floor nozzle to vacuum area rugs (my last unit did not have this feature).

Big upgrade

I wanted something that if I wanted to use the hose I didn't have to change out the brushroll. I was amazed at how much the Shark picked up compared to the Kirby. First couple passes quickly filled up the bin. Sold on the Shark and would highly recommend.
