Warning - not the best for rugs/carpet

This vacuum works like a dream on the hardwood, slightly less dreamy on the carpet, and is nearly impossible to move on the area rugs. It would probably be fine if the height was adjustable, but it is not. If you have hard surface floors, this is the vacuum for you. If not, skip it. I would return it if I was still within the window to be able to do so, it is really that difficult to move. We had an older model shark before this that we loved, but I wanted to try this one because I was tired of cleaning hair out of the brush roller. Now I wish I could have my old one back!
