Love how easy it is to use and better than juggling a brush in one hand and a traditional hairdryer in the other. Can easily add volume by the way you brush and straighten with the heated ceramic plates. Your hair does need to be nearly 70% dry and detangled before using this heated comb. The 3 settings for drying are fantastic and work fast. Easily adds volume using these settings. Makes it a ton easier to use than a brush in one hand and a hairdryer in the other. Dry mode is great for smoothing and takes about 2 minutes to preheat the ceramic plates on the side. It’s nearly as good as my flat iron but not quite a flat iron replacement. Overall, I am very happy with this 2 in 1 and would recommend it to my friends and family.

The Shark SmoothStyle Heated Comb Straightener and Smoother (Shark) is a godsend for those quick styling needs. The powered hair dryer is unlike any hair dryer I’ve used before. In traditional hair drying, brushing and styling require a brush and a hair dryer at the same time to gain style and volume. This two-handed juggle, which I am all too familiar with, can be quite a morning chore when you run late for work. Wet hair would be painfully straightened if it's not tangled already, and warm air would be blown over the strands of hair as the water evaporates before styling can commence. Generally, you want to have detangled hair that is damp, not wet, but the more hair you have, the harder it is to dry it before you can attempt to style it. This ends up having to use small sections of hair to be parted out, dried, and styled. It's a painful, laborious process. The Shark smooth style heated brush has a nice party trick that goes past the two-handed styling I have been doing for so long; the dryer has a brush built into it. Unlike other devices on the market, many of which rotate, the Shark Smooth Style heated brush does not rotate. There are 2 sides to the brush; one must use the brush and manually turn the handle to continue to dry and style your hair. One advantage of the shark is that you can dry the roots easier than just the surface of the hair, going from the top in the traditional methods. In terms of heat put out, the heat through the brush is gentle; even at high heat, it did not seem to cook my hair, and the hair comes out styled naturally. The diffused airflow through the brush helps the hair dry faster. It seems that it dries the hair faster than my previous methods. The big update this brush brings to the party is the dry styling brush. I would typically use a flat iron or a curling wand to style dry hair. Each of these devices is laborious to use to get results that stick. There is no doubt about it: given the time you put into using a flat iron or a curling wand to set your style, it looks better. However, they could be more helpful when you want to do a quick touch-up on your style before you head out to the bars for happy hour. The wider shark brush head is quicker and more effective for styling your hair than using a flat iron or a curling wand. I found the dry styling mode very useful, and I use this one a lot. Leaving the office, I can quickly brush and style my hair to remove the frizz and style it for that just-left-the-salon look. It worked miracles when I first tried it after getting the unit. My dry, unkempt hair was quickly brushed and styled for a date night. The pictures show the proof, and that was just a few minutes. The purple-pink heated plates act similar to a flat iron but allow you to style it through while brushing. I also like that I can hold the ‘head’ of the brush, as there is an excellent small handle on the far end of the brush that stays cool to allow you to use both hands if necessary. The hair-drying unit is made of high-grade plastics. The comb is solid and rigid and won't break easily. The controls are easy to understand and use. The brush head heating time is not very long when you use the dry mode. Overall, the brush is a must-have for any man or woman with long hair. I wish this unit were 110/220v auto-ranging, as I do travel, and this would be a perfect travel brush to carry. I commend Shark for their styling video tutorials on effectively using their product; it was very well received and much appreciated. There are several videos for different hair types, videos on how to clean and maintain your brush, and a styling guide. So if you have long hair or you know someone with long hair, this Shark SmoothStyle Heated Comb Straightener and Smoother is a must-have.

The Shark SmoothStyle Heated Comb and Blow Dryer Brush is a powerhouse. I use it on both wet and dry hair, and it delivers smooth, shiny results every time no frizz, no fuss. The dual mode is perfect for switching between blow-drying and touch-up smoothing. It’s a bit on the heavier side, but the time it saves and the salon-quality finish make it totally worth it. Great for all hair types my kids even love using it!

I have a shark hairdryer and am very pleased with it. I decided to give this brush a try while it was on sale (and my membership gave an extra discount). For me, a person with course, coil curls, it works incredibly well. Even on dry hair! It is a bit bigger than most brush dryer units and a little heavier, but the top piece is larger so you can easily hold the brush at the top. This unit replaced my hair straightener too - so I have two shark products now and they are well worth the purchase, especially compared to the cost of Dyson products. The only suggestion I have for shark is maybe they can have the "straightener" option in the other direction on the switch, so you do not have to turn through each blow dry mode to get to the heated straightener mode.

The Shark Smooth Style Brush is an excellent product. You can use it with dry or wet hair. The fact that it is designed as a brush helps you to achieve the volume you desire. Set it to wet and achieve your volume without heat. Change it to heat and get the volume with heat added to the device. There is only one pre-set heating mode, but it is a good temperature to straighten and volumize your hair. The brush heats up quickly, so there is no long wait to use. At first I thought not having multiple heat modes would be a negative, but after using it, I find that it helps to not cause burning and heat damage to my hair. The brush can be used as a straightener to any desired look. As with all devices like this, a good deal of trial and error is necessary to achieve the desired results. What makes this product successful is that the brush doesn't drag along your hair and does a good job to seperate the hair strands. The product can be used on all hair types which gives it universal appeal. The build quality is excellent. The brush is comfortable in your hands. Shark enclosed some really good support materials including a "tips" card and links to product information. Combine this with a 2 year warranty and this brush becomes a must buy.

I absolutely love this product! It dries my hair quickly without damaging it and leaves it shiny and full of volume. Super easy to use, even when I’m in a rush in the mornings. What I like the most is that it works as a dryer and brush in one, which saves time and space. It doesn’t get too hot, so it feels safe and comfortable to use. Disclaimer: This product has been tested by my wife as I have short hair. The Shark Smooth Style Heated Comb Straightener + Smoother has a rather unique selling proposition. It is a combo product that can straighten and smooth your and also dry your hair. Quite often this would be a two product combo. First the Shark SmoothStyle looks like a large corded roller brush. But how does it actually work? Well it works in two modes as described below: One is the dry hair mode. Start first with dry and detangled hair. Switch unit to dry hair mode. You notice that there are two heat vents on the roller. Normally, it would take a couple of minutes to heat this up. Just wait for the light to turn green. Use the SmoothStyle like you would like any roller brush. It is quite evident that as you use the SmoothStyle hot air is also blown thereby styling your hair in the process. Similarly the wet hair mode works in the same fashion. First, start with partially dried hair. Twist the sliver ring to wet hair mode. But unlike the dry hair mode, there is no heat coming out. Use the SmoothStyle again like you would a normal hair roller brush. By using the SmoothStyle you can now style your hair adding volume. This is indeed a very convenient product. But according to my wife there are two issues but not dealbreakers. Given its size, the SmoothStyle is best for people with long hair. Even with neck long hair, my wife had some difficulty using the product. It seems to be better suited for people with shoulder length or longer hair. The next issue my wife observed is that it more of a jack of all trade product rather a specialized one as it is neither that good with dry or wet hair. But to compensate for this, it adds convenience by using only one product instead of two. This is very ideal if you want to style your hair on the fly. It is for this reason that I will remove one star for this product as the benefits still overweigh greatly its disadvantage. I would still recommend this product.

   Picked this up for my wife and my daughter's to try out. My wife and one of my daughters have kinky-curly hair and my other daughter has wavy hair. Since my wife usually helps the girls get their heair ready, I thought this would be a cool thing to try out. But we weren't really impressed with the results when we used it on my oldest's wavy hair so we never used it on our youngest daughter with kinky-curly hair. I mean, it worked and my daughter's hair looked OK, but we weren't like, blown away by it. Also, my wife did this in about 20 minutes. She used the blow dryer function, but it did not take curl out of hair, but the hair did dry OK. Perhaps if you spent more time you could get a straighter result. But she think the “smoother” part of the tool works well. No fly aways and calms frizz. As far as smoothing hair, it did not remove her natural wavy hair and make it straight so if you are looking for more of a straightener and you have wavy or curly hair, this probably isn’t the tool for you. She likes the the design of the tool. There’s a grip on the end so you don’t burn yourself. It’s not too heavy and the brush is nice. She thinks it would work on hair that is mostly straight already, we did not have luck removing all the waves. It heats up quickly, but wouldn't really work unless your hair is already mostly dry.

Absolutely love this I have hair that is down to my waist. I do not like to have the heavy duty blow dryers and it does need straightened, especially during the humid times this is very easy to use. I’d love it all in one product that is a quality and this is

As many reviewers of this item have pointed out, this is very okay at everything it does. It's not great at blow drying and certainly not great at straightening the hair, but it is the greatest touch-up tool ever invented. I have extremely thick, long, and textured hair so whenever I iron or blow out my hair the maintenance sucks. This makes it so easy to keep my hair smooth and at volume levels I like. It was well-worth the money for that alone. Do not expect this to be some miracle tool, but is certainly a time-saver that keeps your hair looking the way it does when you leave the salon.

I love it so much and the heat , the curly sits very nice the only thing I dislike it’s heavy and it’s big but I am managing .

Perfect for me, I’m having a rotator cuff repair on my left shoulder, I needed something simple to make doing my hair a little easier. This does it for me, one equipment that does it all. It has a little bit of weight to it though. Amazingly, it really straightens my hair and I can put some light curls in my hair for body. Bonus is, I purchased it on Drop sale.

Great product! I have natural hair and I’m always scared of heat damage and breakage, but this product is so great!!! It doesn’t pull all my hair out while blow drying, and doesn’t damage the texture of my hair either. Whenever my I wash my hair, it goes back to its super curly and strong nature. The only thing is that I have tiny hands and it’s a little thick for me to hold lol.

This tool is a total time-saver and style-saver in one. I have thick, wavy hair and this Shark brush smooths and dries at the same time without frying my strands. I have been used to the Revlon and dimilar stylers, oval shaped, with brushes all around. This one has the added feature of the heat only styler, which is great, but the weight of this styler is a bit heavier and it clunks me in the head a few times as im trying to find just the right spot that contains the brushes. Probably just a matter if getting used to it, but worth mentioning.

I purchased this for my mother who is in her 70's. She absolutely loves the ease of blow drying her hair and the heated comb is great for touch ups. She loves it so much we are planning on giving a few as Christmas gifts, this year.

Bought a new laptop and Justin was very helpful. I was instructed to step over to Geek Squad for set-up and transfer data from old laptop to the new one. The young man at Geek Squad was also very helpful and exceedingly patient with this old guy that as outgrown today's technology. He made it pleasant.

Easy to use. I never been used this product, but I love. Is an excellent product. Just take care don't burn your ears with the hot air on the brush.

Works great! However, it's a little bulky, making it harder to use on shorter hair.
