Smoking on only 4th use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great at first. I used it to dry my naturally curly hair and then used the heat to style. Used it to style my hair 2 other times (with clean hair, no products except for heat protection the first time I used it). I was planning on using it for the 4th time, but I plugged it in and turned it too the heat setting and it began smoking.

Bad odor & smoke emitting from it

But when I would set it to the dry hair mode, it was emitting a very strong burning odor. Like a space heater, but stronger & fairly offensive. It wasn’t dirty, or full of hair. This started the very first time I used it. I still used it, hoping it would stop smelling like that. But no - I turned it on after only a few uses & noticed that smoke was actually coming out of it while it was heating up. I’ve never had something like that happen with a hair tool. This is definitely not a keeper for me!
