I bought this to carpet clean some stairs that had been neglected for a while at my inlaws and it didnt seem to do anyting visually, but I did see dark nasty liquid in the tank so I know it did something, however after it dried… it still looked the same.

I was really hoping this would work on my sofa but it just doesn’t have enough suction to pull out the water and stains. I do like the rinse and go feature but in reality you could just put clean water in the sink and vacuum back through the hose. I don’t think it did any more of an extraordinary job than using a dish cloth and soap.

The Shark - Stain striker Pet carpet cleaner is on of the best on the market. We put it to the test last night and I'm still grossed out at what we found. Keep in mind, we had our carpets professionally cleaned a month ago, and this still pulled up some stains and dirt. We used this on both a dry stain and a soda that had been knocked over on the carpet and needed to be attended to. Pros: * small and very easy to store in a closet or under a cabinet * light and very easy to carry around / move around * self cleaning button for the heads, this is magical to get the gunk out of the plastic. you just place it on and it shots clean water in the heads. * easy to remove the heads and attach new ones, as well as clean the machine. Cons: * the amount of solution we received with the carpet cleaner didn't even fill the reservoir up to the line. * no bag or clips to store the extra heads for cleaning. * self cleaning button isn't big enough for the self contained head. We highly recommend!

In the box you will get the device, 3 cleaning heads, instructions and even 1 bottle of shampoo and a bottle of stain booster remover to try out. The machine looks small, but it has a decent capacity for the input and output tanks. Even though it seems small, you can clean quite a few stains or even freshen up that couch or chair that the family pets sit in all the time. It comes it four pieces, the machine itself, the clean tank, dirty water tank and the stain booster tank to get those really tough stains gone. I like the nice compact shape as it makes it easy to store. It has a nice square shape and the power cord and hose wrap around the machine. I can easily put it on a shelf in the closet or garage for storing. The suction for this stain remover is really good. The machine itself is a bit loud, but that is normal for any carpet cleaner or stain remover. The three cleaning heads can tackle any stain you may have. Where you attach the cleaning heads it doubles as a mini stain eliminator tool. This allows you to get into corners of carpets and crevices in furniture. Next you have the 3.5 inch head. This is your basic everyday cleaning head. I do appreciate that it has a detachable brush. When reversed, it has rubber “hair gripping fins” so that you don’t get all that pet or human hair on the bristles. The Pet Mess Extractor Tool/head will clean up those wet accidents and captures it into a little chamber attached onto the head itself. I like this, because any pet urine will not travel through the hose itself and it keeps the machine more sanitary. The Pet Hair Extractor Tool/head is similar to the Pet Mess Tool except it is geared towards pet hair going into the chamber. This also has a filter so that the hair doesn’t go into the machine but stays in the chamber. This machine even has a “Rinse and Go/Self Wash Cycle” option on top. You simply turn the machine on, put the head onto this spot of the machine, spray water and then it sucks the water into the dirty water tank while rinsing out the heads to keep them nice and clean. When you are using the regular head, the dirty water tank also has a pet hair filter so all the pet hair goes into it instead of the tank itself. Shark thought a lot about pet owners when constructing this machine. The Shark StainStriker works great on all kinds of stains and has powerful suction to clean your carpet. It is a must have for pet owners and can also be used for people with kids and just messy people in general.

I followed the installation and setup instructions very carefully... but the product still leaked the cleaning fluid all over the place. It made a huge mess. If I could return this product for a refund, I would.

I just received my Shark Stain Striker and the next day my dog threw up on the rug. I opened the box and saw the instructions right there on the flap of the box. How fantastic! I didn't have to dig through the box to find the instructions. I followed the easy steps and filled my tanks with the eco-friendly cleaning solutions, and I was ready to go. I carried the lightweight machine straight to my spot and sprayed the solution on the stain. I was amazed by how quickly the stain broke apart and started to disappear. I hadn't even sucked it up yet. After I let it sit for about a minute, I started to suck up the stain. First pass, it was gone. I did go over it a couple times, and you couldn't even tell anything had been there. It was so easy to spray a very small area and treat just the stain. What I really liked about it was that there wasn't a ton of water soaking into my carpet. The spot was all that was damp, and I didn't have to drag a heavy machine up and down the stairs. The Shark Stain Striker is very light weight and uses hardly any solution and water to clean up a stain. I was so happy. I have had many other carpet cleaners. I always have to mix up so much solution and then felt like I have to clean the whole room. Everything was soaking wet. With the Shark Stain Striker; you can just treat the spot. It's quick and easy. I also noticed that after the clean up, I didn't notice my dogs sniffing the stain. With other stain treatments I've used, my dogs return to the stain and sometimes mark. They have not touched it. I highly recommend the Shark Stain Striker to anyone who has small animals.

The Shark StainStriker HairPro Pet has been a godsend for our household. Having an elderly cat and small children running around, our furniture and carpeting take a beating. I’ve used upholstery cleaning products before, and even just a spray and some elbow grease to clean up messes, but it has come to the point where it just wasn’t cutting it anymore. Enter the StainStriker, and Strike is does! The unit is very easy to use, instructions are clear, and it does not have a billion individual pieces like some units do. CONCLUSION: Unlike tedious general whole carpet cleaning, the Shark StainStriker is targeted at messes that MUST be cleaned up. It’s ALMOST fun to see the Before-During-and-After results as they occur, sort of like Pressure Washing. I’m ALMOST looking forward to pulling it out again and do some serious deep cleaning.

Wow! Yes the Shark - StainStriker HairPro pet portable carpet vacuum is the real deal. It comes with everything needed to be used right of the box with minimal set up. All the attachments work great and will help with some pretty nasty clean ups. I removed several stains from some furniture that I had. I can almost say it left it looking like new in some areas. Of course, I also came across those stains that the only way to get rid of them are by cutting out the piece of fabric or throwing piece away. But it will help with those tough stains, and it will make it look nicer. The pet hair yeah let me tell you about that. I have two German Shepherd that i can make some nice fur pillow from them every single day and this vacuum really helps collect a ton of their hair and it does not clog up. The cleaning is very simple because you are able to just remove the tanks and take them with you to clean outside. It is very well built and the clean water tank with the cleaning solution is separate from the dirty water tank. The trigger on the handle to spray the water is very simple to control. The vacuum is really well built and will handle the dirtiest of tasks with no issues.

Too many attachments and the machine was leaking the first time we used it.

After having Shark vacuums for years, I thought I’d give this a try. We don’t have a lot of carpet but what we have is old. Area rugs and furniture are what’s up in our house. My first chore was an old cat barf stain that was dried into and antique chair. This machine took it out after a few swipes. Once I had half of it cleaned, I ended up cleaning the entire chair. My second chore was a coffee stain in an area rug. I was able to do a spot clean and it came out great! I’m too lazy to do the entire thing but I will. This machine is quiet and easy to use. My chair now smells fresh (kind of heavy but pleasant) and it in turn made my entire basement smell good. The small size was super easy to carry. It’s very powerful as shown by the water after-nice espresso colored. Clean up of the machine was fast and easy. Simple rinse of the tank and hose. The small size allows for storage under my sink. If I ever wanted to do a huge carpet I would have to rent a big machine, but the majority of issues are small…so this is perfect!!!!

Will be returning product. Suction would randomly stop working and I had to turn machine off and back on to get it to work again. Paid way too much money for that.
