    I wanted to like this vacuum and I do like most things. However, the biggest downfall is the battery. We have a small house, less than 1000 sf, and no carpet and just a few area rugs. The battery is depleted before I can finish cleaning using Eco Mode. It cleans well for the most part and is easy to use and get under beds etc. but having to recharge before cleaning our small house is ridiculous. Cannot locate a place to buy a spare battery. The Shark website shows that they sell one but it has been out of stock for months. I dread using it knowing that I will not be able to complete the job. If the battery was better or if I could get a spare then my rating would have been a 4

    It seems to be a nice vac but there is one MAJOR problem.You can not get a spare or replacement battery.I have a fair amount of carpet in my house and one charged battery is just not enough. I tried contacting Shark to no avail.All I could get is that they are out of stock and no one knew when or if they will have the battery available. Like I said it seems to be a nice unit .But unless you want to spend your time waiting for 2 hours for the battery to recharge so you can finish your job then I would suggest buying a different unit. I will be returning my unit.

    Terrible vacuum and started to malfunction 8 months after purchase. The manufacturer solution was to send a few replacement parts which made the vacuum perform worse. The quality is very poor and these vacuums are only built to last 1-2 years.
