We loved our other shark vacuums but sadly only after having this one for a few months, the battery stopped working properly. Goes from 100% charge to dead in about 10 minutes. Even after receiving a replacement battery. Haven't been able to use it in over a year and no one was able to help us with finding a solution so we gave up hope. Feel like I was ripped off, especially for the price point.

Faulty design, or just bad luck?

I bought it exactly 2 months ago and it has been used a handful of times. The vacuum folds for storage and that is where the issue comes to play. Something in that folding section broke and now the vacuum will not fully extend into the upright vacuum position. So here we are headed to the store to discuss options thankfully it’s under manufacturer warranty and I did purchase the extended warranty but now I’m wondering if this was a bad purchase. Performance wise, the vacuum seems to do a good job no complaints there, but the battery does not last long at all. So buyer beware if you choose this option purchase a second battery, and no that your vacuum may break within a few months.

SHARK CHARGES SHIPPING FEES ON WARRANTY ITEMS.

I have no complaints about how it works. I have had this vacuum for a little under a year. The motor has went out in it. I called the warranty for Shark, not best buy. This is not on Best Buy. I spoke with the customer service rep. We went through troubleshooting. They determined that the head unit needed replacing. Unfortunately it is on back order and will take 2-4 weeks. Not happy about that, but I understand. What got me was even though the unit is under warranty. I have to pay for the shipping charges. So BEWARE OF SHIPPING CHARGES FOR WARRANTIED PRODUCTS!!! I did tell them I do not feel that is right to have to pay shipping on a warranty. They explained the the unit is covered but not the shipping. The did in the end agree to not charged shipping, but it would only be this one time. So if I have any other issues I would be charged.
