Customers admire the Stratos UltraLight Corded Stick Vacuum's powerful suction, lightweight design, and ease of use. Many appreciate its cleaning performance and long cord, while some find the dustbin capacity to be a limiting factor. The odor neutralizer is also a frequently praised feature. Not working after 2 months!

I’ve had this vacuum for a little over 2 months. At first it worked amazingly. It picked up every piece of particle it came across. I was so happy with it but then after 2 months it has not been working the same. Everything it picks up just spits right out. I empty the canister as needed, have washed filters and cleaned out the rollers and still nothing works. The suction isn’t as great as it was. Recently I was vacuuming a rug and the motor started to go out and noticed it was overheating. I’m very disappointed as I just bought it. I’m hoping Shark will do the right thing and replace with a new one as I did enjoy it when it was working properly.

My family and I absolutely love this vacuum cleaner. All around It works better than any other previous stick vacuum I have ever owned. This cleaner is corded, which is not always my favorite, but the cord is LONG! I love that it has a self cleaning brush. As a woman with super long hair, this is super helpful. There are a few things I wish were different. The vacuum will not stand up straight, by itself with the handheld part hooked to the top of the stick and vacuum. But if you have a place to store against a wall, or in a corner, it is a moot point. It is really easy to dump the dust, dirt and hair that the vacuum picks up. The vacuum separates the waste into a separate compartment, which also makes clean up quicker and easier. I would highly recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone looking to replace their current dirt sucker. We use it on both the tile and carpet, it perform well on both surfaces. It's fairly light, my nine year old can move it room to room without much of a struggle.

For a stick vacuum this little thing is amazing! We have 4 dogs and a rabbit. In our 2000 sqft house we need to empty twice on our daily chore. Our old upright shark we'd empty every other day. So compacity wise it is small for a large volume like we use. But its light weight the cord is long it has carpet with the self propelled setting and hardwood. The freshener you can buy different scents separately really helps freshen everything in our home. We haven't had anything get stuck in the roller and is really easy to clean. Only thing I wish was different is that there was a way to stand it up without having to lean it against something. But if that's the least of my worries I'm happy

I was excited to try the Shark Stratos Corded Stick Vacuum for a couple reasons: 1.they claim it is the best for hair collection both human and animal. With 2 dogs in our home it proved great with cleaning the dog hair on our couches, stairs and dog beds. 2.it claims to have a new odor neutralizer technology, which definetly left our home smelling fresher as I cleaned our floors. Packaging was pretty standard, one thing that stuck out to me was the odor control cartridge. There was a code on the packaging to order refills as needed. The entire vacuum was relatively quick and easy to assemble, even the odor control cartridge was easy to install and lock in place. There was a holder included to easily store and organize all attachments. There was a upholstery tool and crevice tool perfect for above the ground jobs and hard to reach surfaces. It even converts to a hand vacuum whivh I found very helpful when doing our stairs, it was pretty lightweight so that wasn't an issue. I The suction was very powerful so I didnt have to go over the same spots multiple times which made cleaning quicker. The LED lights on the suction unit helped me see dirt and trash I couldnt see alone. It was very easy to empty the dust cup right in the trash so I didnt have to get my hands dirty. Once I was done cleaning, it was easy to store and it didnt take up alot of space, it stores in a freestanding position with all attachements in one place. I will say I was impressed with the allergen-sealed system, it has a complete seal that collects 99.9% of dust & allergens it claims and is sealed with a HEPA filter which is perfect since I have children with asthma and allergies to dust. The brush rolls are self cleaning too. I would definetly recommend this product to friends and family. I was impressed with how much it got up from both my carpets and tile floors.

    Great, powerful stick vaccum!

We really liked this Shark Stratos Stick Vacuum. The main thing my wife likes about it is that it is lightweight. She has fibromyalgia so the lighter the better. Out of the box, assembly was a breeze. My wife likes all the attachmnets, especially the pet power brush. We have never seen a small power rotary head like this for a vacuum. Once we got it out of the box and plugged it, the vaccum roared to life. This vacuum is very powerful. It does a great job of picking everything up off of our tile floor as well as the carpeted areas as well. It is perfect for our carpeted stairs and the lightweight nature makes it very easy for my wife to carry it up and down the stairs. It really performs well on dog hair. Our dog is short haired, but sheds terribly. My wife was really surprised that the roller does not get tangled up with her long hair. So far, it takes care of everything we have thrown at it. On the down side, it doesn't perform as well as other vacuums at getting underneath couches and whatnot. The power head does swivel which helps but it doesn't go flat enough to get far up under furniture. Other than that, this thing is fantastic.

Does a great job but a few things to be aware of

First let me say that if you buy this just expecting a vacuum cleaner you won’t be disappointed. If I was tarring it on just it ability to be a vacuum it would get five stars easily. First let’s start with the things it does well. Suction and the ability to pick up small object was absolutely the best I have used - I did a head to head test against another corded brand that is more expensive one and this outperformed it in every test. The shark had better suction power, was able to pick up small debris and for the final test I cleaned a carpet area first with the other brand and then with the shark and was amazed at the amount of dust it still picked up. So as a vacuum it top notch. Second it has all the attachments you would ever need and it’s very easy to change them. Also the cord length is really good without being in the way. It’s very easy to clean as you remove the tank and dump whenever it’s needed. There really is only a couple is vacuum thing I didn’t like. It does not automatically adjust the different types of floors. It has a flat ( tile and hardwood) setting and a carpet setting and it critical that you set it to get the best performance. Using the flat setting on Capet will cause the beater attachment to stop which will require a power cycle and then unit unit comes on in the flat mode. The other is that if you have any small area rugs you need to be very careful and secure them before you vacuum or it will pull it into the beater about 6 inches from the end. Now for the primary reason I took away two stars. I expected this to be a lightweight stick vacuum and it’s not. The motor end is very heavy (more so than some cordless models I have) and grip makes it a bit difficult to change you grip position to use it overhead. The second thing and probably associated with the first is that it won’t stand up on it’s own. It has a lock position at 90 degrees but that basically does nothing but hold it in that position when it falls over. The last thing is this is very tall. Not sure the specs but seem to be about 4.5 foot tall. I’m 6 foot and don’t have any major issues however if your in the bottom have of the 5foot scale this will be a bit of a challenge. For my wife who is around 5 foot it was basically unusable. Bottomline is I would recommend this but you need to know what your buying and make sure you are ok with the short comings

Typical Shark Vacuum Quality and Value

The Shark Stratos is a portable, lightweight, multi-purpose vacuum with a nice, long cord to allow for maximum coverage. Separate modes for bare and carpet floors allow it to be used without swapping heads, something that is great in a house like mine that varies between hardwood and carpet. The Stratos also comes with an additional perk, and that is an odor neutralizer cartridge that filters the exhaust air and gives it a pleasant smell versus the different odd odors that might come from a vacuum. Sometimes vacuum exhaust can smell musty or burnt depending on the hair situation in the house (I've got three girls with long hair) and the Stratos does a good job of keeping that exhaust from being atrocious. Time will tell how long the cartridge lasts before it has to be replaced (it can be adjusted for less or more odor neutralization). In use, the Stratos is very portable and flexible. The brush head is small enough and flexible enough that it works in under my kitchen table and into the corners no problem. The top part can be removed and used with the different attachments to perform activities that don't require the brush head. As usual, suction power is excellent. Whether it is carpet, hardwood, or tile, the Stratos cleans perfectly the first time. I use it regularly on my stairs, and it works perfectly for that use. All-in-all, another excellent option from Shark.

    Awesome Vacuum

This is my review for the Shark - Stratos Corded Stick Vacuum. Right off the bat the packing is great, clear and concise instructions. The vacuum was easy to assemble. With this being a stick vacuum, it doesn't take up much space as I was able to mount it on the wall. This vacuum has settings specific to bare floors and carpet. It performed very well in both conditions. When finished it was super easy to remove the portion that captured debris. The best thing about this is the way it captures hair. We have a cat and two dogs so we do get pet dander and shedding around the house. The debris collector has this sort of pyramid shape in the one compartment. This makes is so easy to collect hair and not have to spend time removing debris that would otherwise be obstructing power of the suction being provided. This is a great feature and will allow you to easily remove any debris from the compartment. There's also an odor neutralizer feature on this vacuum. I feel like this might be a gimmick and I have no idea how long it lasts or how much a new one costs. Otherwise this is a great product.

I've been a big fan of Shark products for years. My last 2 vacuums have been Shark and the only reason they were replaced was because I wanted to upgrade. I gave my old ones to family members and they are still using them. The quality of Shark products is unbeatable in my opinion. I know the new trend is everything cordless, but for a vacuum I don't think I can give up the cord. I feel like you can't beat the power of a corded vac and over time batteries lose their "oomph" The Shark Stratos has a 30ft cord. It's more than enough for me to vacuum my 1100sqft apartment without being inconvenienced. I have a mix of hardwood and carpet and it's amazing how well this vac works on both. It sucks up dog hair and dirt like nobody's business. I vacuumed my house with my old Shark vac and again with the new one. I couldn't get over how much the Stratos still sucked up! The Stratos comes apart in a few sections to use it as a handheld vac, to reach higher places and to use different attachments that it comes with. It's outrageously versatile and sucks real good!

This vacuum is awesome! It’s sleek in style but very powerful with great suction. It fits under EVERYTHING! It so lightweight that taking it up and down the stairs is a breeze. I actually like that it’s corded so it doesn’t have the weight of a battery to deal with. I use it on carpet as well as tile and hardwoods. It picks up pet hair great! Cleaning the bin is easy and doesn’t require any type of bag-built in canister! The deodorizer is a nice feature which allows you to use scents if you wish. It’s very quiet when using-I’ve used it while my grandbabies are sleeping and they didn’t wake up! I do wish that it would stand up on its on-that makes it difficult when stopping and starting. The attachments that it comes with all work great for cleaning areas hard to get to like under sofa cushions or air filters. It’s a great slender size allowing it to store easily in a small/tight space! Over all I’m very pleased with this Shark product! It does the job well while keeping my back for aching since it’s so lightweight and easy to maneuver.

I've stuck with shark vacuum cleaners over the past several years, mainly because they have the best suction and reliability of any consumer vac on the market, but I'd like to know if anyone actually likes those that are battery driven? The batteries only last a few minutes, and then you have to wait an hour or so to recharge so you can do the next section of your house. When I saw the opportunity to stick with my brand of choice and get a corded model in a stick-style vac, I jumped at it, and I am not in the least disappointed! Lightweight, the great suction Shark is known for, and well made. I don't worry that it will fall apart and it gets all the dirt and hair (we have a lot of pets) up . This model has it's own method of keeping hair from winding up stuck on the roller as well - BONUS - as normally I end up having to cut wound-up hair off of all my vac's rollers otherwise they wind up a tangled mess. I'll be sticking with shark that much longer - and sticking with a corded model, it's well worth it over the convenience of a battery!

This vacuum is light and flexible and more powerful than my old model. It gets all the hair, human and pet, that we seem to endlessly generate. My area rug can’t take a beater bar on it, so I’m unable to comment other than switching it on revs it up considerably. I use a leftover dust attachment on it instead. Corded vacs still have more juice than cordless; I’ve had both and the length of the cord makes it a one outlet affair. Worth any hassle a cord entails.
