Whoa! Very impressed. Super strong vacuum!!! I had been using a cordless for many years. My first time using this, the canister was almost full of dust and debris that my hand held never picked up. It is a bit heavy and takes a little umph to maneuver around the floors. Not for elderly or someone who doesn’t have a lot of strength. Outside of that, it’s a dream. Might be considered a little loud, too? But for the amazing job it does, I don’t care about the noise. Canister is very easy to empty. No concerns about getting dirty to do it. Self cleaning rollers? Works better than I hoped! No more long hair wrapped around the roller. This is the single greatest feature.

I’ve been using the Shark Stratos Upright Vacuum for a few weeks now and I’m really happy with it. The suction is very strong and it picks up a lot more dirt and dust than my old vacuum. It works great on both carpet and hard floors. I also like that the brush roll doesn’t get tangled with hair, which saves a lot of time. The Lift-Away feature is very useful for cleaning stairs and tight spaces. Overall it feels well built and does a great job cleaning the house. Definitely a great purchase and worth the money.

This is a great product. I love that it has multiple setting for area room, think broadloom and hard floors. I don’t sweep so this gadget gets use daily. It is a little on the heavier side for a day to day clean but it does the job perfect. It has an odor pad that can be changed out so the machine doesn’t smell like pets for those who has fur babies. I do wish the hose had a bit more stretch to it, when you remove the crevice tool fo baseboards and such, the tightness in the hose cause the machine to tip so you had to be careful. Overall it’s a great vacuum and I’m very happy with the purchase.

More suction power doesn't quite beat out traditional rollers(but no more cleaning rollers every week is a huge plus as i vacuum 2-3x a day) Pros. No typical vacuum smell Easy to use Long cord Large holding tank Took maybe 5 mintues tops to assemble without using instructions. Cons. Price Doesn't clean our shag carpet quite as well as our shark navigator pet(but the difference isn't enough for us to be happy with the new upgrade, the old vaccume will still come out from time to time though, was hoping to give away the old vacuum) Heavier than expected, especially without the self propel option, but not unbearable. Still easy to use, just gives a little bit of a workout. People love the light, but i find it too dim to be useful. Cord and tool attachment locations are a pain and can make it a little difficult to reattach parts, but only a minor inconvenience. The handle hose is a bit on the short side, clould have easily been made a little longer. Not a fan of the fins vs the traditional rollers. Not self propelled. Even with all the cons, I still give it 4 stars, because they are minor cons. My navigator is 5 stars, but I still prefer this one even with a lower rating, because the new features make up for all the little very minor cons.

This vacuum has been great. It has great suction, and the brushroll works great along with the Odor Neutralizer.

Having a pet made my search for a vacuum even more complicated but this vacuum not only cleans great but it’s suction power on carpet and hard wood floors made this purchase a no brainer. I always thought that i was doing a good job vacuuming my house but i was amazed at how much dirt/debris was collected after going over areas that my old vacuum went through and now i also have no issues with pet hairs wrapping itself around the brush.

We purchased the Shark Stratos after our "other name brand" vacuum quit working. We are blown away by the performance difference! Despite vacuuming the whole house the previous day, our new Shark filled the entire debris bin in one use! The suction power that this device has is amazing and is great for pet hair (we have two cats and a dog). The added pet attachment works really well on upholstery. The unit is easy to empty and is lightweight for its size. We appreciate that there are different settings for different floor types! I'd highly recommend this to any pet owner looking for a quality vacuum!

WOW, I’m a long time Kirby fan and have had the same unit for 23 years. It recently broke down and I had to jump back into the Vacuum game and boy have things changed. I am absolutely impressed with the power of this thing and was surprised by the amount of fine dust particles this thing happens to find every time I run it! The features of this were impressive and super useful, while I do like to have the convenience of one thing that can do everything, even though I fixed up our old Kirby, we are keeping this unit because it is just too good. I’m very happy, so much so that after buying this we also purchased the Carpet cleaner which is also excellent. Great purchase and now it’s like I have a brand new sports car with this Shark Stratos and then an old fashioned t bird just under the cover in the garage. The Shark Stratos ease of use and features make it a great buy for our home anyway!

This vacuum makes cleaning our house very easy. We've used several uprights, and this one may be the best at handling all the different surfaces in our house. We have a good variety of flooring to put it to work on too. We have hard woods, tile, carpet and several styles of rugs. Speaking of which, it handles our shag-style rug better than any other vacuum we've used. Typicality maneuvering over that shag rug is difficult, since the vacuum wants to either suck up the shag, or it's not strong enough to clean it. This one seems to be great at both. It also works very well on our stairs by using the attachments and removing the "pod", instead of carrying the entire vacuum up and down the stairs. My wife also appreciates the headlights on the front of the vacuum, since not all come with those, and it can definitely help to see things you may otherwise miss. It would be nice to have a small light on the handle though as well, to light up smaller or hard to reach areas when you're not using the main brush roller part. Another great thing about this vacuum is the air cleaner. It makes areas cleaned seem fresh and smell nice. While it never felt overpowering to us, it also has the option to dial down the amount that is used. It really is a nice addition that I'm surprised I haven't heard or seen this before. Setup and the mild assembly required when first using the vacuum is very simple too. Which also applies to maintenance. Every place that could possibly need maintenance is easily accessible to clean or replace if need be. It seems like it's built to last. We also haven't had any hair or fuzz wind around the main roller yet either, which is probably worth it for this vacuum alone. Pros: easy setup, powerful vacuuming, not tangled hair or fuzz, nice addition of air freshening, easy to maneuver even in typically difficult surfaces Cons: no light on handle (this is pretty much the only negative I could find with this vacuum)

I absolutely love this Shark vacuum. It has strong suction and picks up dust, pet hair, and dirt with ease. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and works great on both carpet and hard floors. This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. I bought it to replace my 10-year-old Shark which I also loved. I was shocked how much more suction this Stratos has, and with a dog and 4 women in the house, the self-cleaning brushroll is amazing. Highly recommend!

A bit heavy and clunky but handles well across surface types and great power which is what I wanted. Have not used the attachments yet.

This is a good vacuum if you have pets. I love the hairless rollers, big improvement. It is a little loud, but sound it makes is not horrible. I give it 4 stars because the attachments on my old shark vacuum were better, but I kept them & they fit on this one so no biggie. Overall happy with my purchase.

I needed to replace my dyson (had it 4 years and the vacuum head stopped spinning) i used my geek squad protection and got the value of my dyson to put towards a new vacuum (SO USEFUL!) i did some research about best vacuums for pets, carpets- low and high, this one really caught my eye, it has all the attachments that i will actually use, the sucking power is great and the unit is not too heavy, the canister detaches easily for getting hard to reach places. It is a little on the nosier side of vacuums I've had but the end result is worth it! Very happy with my purchase.

This one isnt as good at the vertex and is heavier. The suction is great but whenever you take the wand out it doesnt stay into place you really have to click it together hard.

I purchased the Shark - Stratos Upright Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins HairPro, Self-Cleaning Brushroll, Odor Neutralizer Technology - Navy for its suction power, and because of Shark vacuums we purchased in the past. They are high quality, backed by a great warranty, and they work better than the competition. This vac is by far Sharks best to date. It works exceptionally well cleaning up litter from our three cats, and works even better on general floor dirt. I would highly recommend this vac even though it is on the heavy side, but is well balanced, and works effortlessly. You will not be disappointed, especially if you have pets.

BEST VACUUM EVER! Dont think twice when comparing to other models. The suction is unmatched and the different ways to unhook and use it making it lighter for stairs is amazing. This vacuum is multi-purpose to help you in any situation you may need it. It has a total of 3 different suction points; handheld suction, wand suction, and regular bottom suction. The odor neutralizer is also a nice touch that isn't overpowering and you are able to adjust the scent strength; the scent is very clean smelling!
