Good daily vacuum
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good vacuum. It is surprisingly the amount of dirt collected. The “power” pet hair attachment is not as effective as the old Shark Navigator power attachment. I love the way the Shark upright vacuums easily separates; great engineering! I use my Shark Stratos quickly every day to vacuum dog hair. It seems to effective but gentle on the rugs.

Got Hair?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so please with this vacuum. The lift off feature is great for getting under our beds. The suction is terrific on stairs. We have a dog and three cats and it picks up every last hair. No funky order after vacuuming because everything stays contained. I also ordered the under appliance piece and it’s wonderful. Worth every penny

First Rate and Highly Recommended
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will admit to being a bit of a snob when it comes to choosing appliance. I tend to buy long-established brands, even if the only connection to the brand’s heritage is its name. Until a couple of years ago when I tested an impressive Shark stick vacuum, I was not familiar with the brand which I saw as an appliance upstart. And then I tested the Shark Stratos which changed my perception completely. Here’s why. The packaging is composed of plastic protectors and cardboard, both easily recyclable. That matters to me. Assembly was absurdly easy and was literally a snap. Each piece connected solidly and convincingly, taking about 5 minutes from box opening to operating vacuum. (One item I found perplexing was the included Odor Neutralizer Cartridge which sits inside the floor nozzle. The benefits of this might be apparent in a room with odor issues, but as I have none, I could not detect any benefit.) Operating this vacuum showed its ingenuity and effectiveness. Used as an upright, the few controls are literally at one’s finger tips. In addition to the off/on switch there is a “Surface Selector” allowing the operator to choose a setting for thick carpets to hardwood floors. With each change, the vacuum adjusted quickly. In sum, upright cleaning was excellent as a result of variable settings, dual self-cleaning rollers, and a very strong suction. Of course, the unit has other beneficial capabilities. The suction unit and canister can be removed easily and function as a hand-held cleaner. Since the motor is the same, the suction remains strong. The variety of included tools gives the user several options for different cleaning challenges. All tools are interchangeable whether using in the upright, above-floor, or “Lift-Away” mode. In sum, I am still a snob, but consider this Shark to be among the very best vacuums within a premium brand. I think any buyer will be happy with the Shark Stratos' durability and functionality.

The King of Vacuums
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am still shaking my head wondering how I managed to vacuum my home prior to owning the Shark - Stratos Upright Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins HairPro, Self-Cleaning Brushroll, Odor Neutralizer Technology. They claim this has the strongest suction of any "Shark" - and you better believe it. Carpets I have vacuumed and picked up a moderate amount of debris had a ton more that the shark picked up! I am a "puppy daddy" of a brown Cocker Spaniel. And when winter time comes around he starts to shed like you wouldn't believe. Other vacuums would practically give up, and the roller would freeze with the amount of fur involved. Not so with the Shark - Stratos Upright Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins HairPro, Self-Cleaning Brushroll, Odor Neutralizer Technology. In fact, after vacuuming his favorite spot in the house to take a nap, not a single strand of fur was wrapped around the roller. Other things I appreciated about the Shark - Stratos Upright Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins HairPro, Self-Cleaning Brushroll, Odor Neutralizer Technology was the fact the it has many different configurations. One, lets me easily vacuum the stairs *using a power head* without feeling like I was going to fall down. In addition, someone was listening and made the power cord SUPER LONG for such jobs! Hats off to shark for making "The king" of vacuums. if you are in the market to buy a new vacuum, it would be silly not to buy the Shark - Stratos Upright Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins HairPro, Self-Cleaning Brushroll, Odor Neutralizer Technology. You would be cheating yourself out of features and POWER!

Pet vacuum that does it all
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've never used a shark vacuum I didn't love. We have several types of shark vacuums now that we use for different things. We keep a stick vac in the kitchen for quick clean up and use a robot vacuum for daily maintenance. But we have two kids and two cats so there is always mess or hair to be cleaned. We vacuum frequently and need something strong enough to get animal hair out of the carpet. This does the job and does it well. I love the upgraded rollers that don't clog with hair ever 5 minutes like cheaper vacuums have done in the past. The attachments for cleaning furniture and really getting into the cracks and crevices is a huge bonus. The filters are super easy to find for this brand and that's a big positive for me. Being able to lift the main portion of the vacuum off to resemble a stick vacuum and get under furniture saves a lot of time and energy. And the cord is nice and long as well as the hose so cleaning the ceiling and corners is very easy. Another huge positive is this vacuum isn't super heavy or hard to maneuver so our older son is able to help clean some of his messes now and learn another life skill without struggling much. Anyone looking for a pet vacuum that does it all won't be disappointed with this.

Great vacuum
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great vacuum with a lot of power to clean the carpets. The suction creates the lines on the carpet and, as a house with all girls, the non-tangled hair feature is great.

Superb Suction
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The suction on this vacuum is superb. We have a high end robot vacuum and a quality cordless that we use regularly. When we got this Stratos we were blown away with the amount of fine particulates this picked up. The dirt container filled up after one use across the house. There was no hair caught up in the rollers which was great. It was quick and easy to switch between carpet, tile, and area rug. On tile, the head did a good job of getting the dust along the edges. However, when on carpet I had to get the crevice tool out to get along the molding. It was handy to remove the body and do the stairs. The cord was a good length so that I didn't have to do a lot of outlet changes. I had a few issues with the vacuum that caused me not to give it 5 stars. The vacuum overall is pretty heavy. This caused it to be hard to maneuver. It was easier to use when the body was removed and held in one hand and used the other to vacuum. Also it doesn't seem very durable. The head was really beat up and the silver finish was scuffed off after one use. A longer hose would help for doing stairs so you don't have to move the body so much. Some things I wish it had was a retractable power cord and an elbow wand. It would of helped a lot to get under furniture if the wand had an elbow in it once you remove the body. I would still recommend this vacuum on the suction alone with a caution of durability and usability.

Johanna, you rock! So helpful with my new Shark!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Johanna was knowledgeable and personable. She helped me pick out a vacuum based on my cleaning needs. She answered my questions easily and helped me figure out what I needed. This Shark has a 5 year (limited) warranty, so I'm happy about that!

Shark attack
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum does a wonderful job cleaning carpets and bare floors. Easy release handle for using wand to suction edges and other tight fitting places like sofa sections. Another plus, runs quieter than retired 12 year old Shark vacuum. Very satisfied with this purchase!

Nice machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice vacuum so far; haven't had it that long, maybe five weeks. Compared to the previous Shark we had, this is certainly a better machine, more suction, better filters, larger dirt canister, nicer controls layout, nicer power roller, doesn't pick up hair like the older one did. You can separate the canister to make it into a smaller vacuum only machine. This machine is slightly bigger/heavier than my previous, but still quite comfortable to use.

Love My New Shark!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum replaced my Shark Vacuum I had for 15+ years. I vacuumed our living room rug and I could hardly believe how much dog hair it picked up that the older vacuum had missed. Vacuumed my sofa with the attachment …. same thing! The extension hose is pretty tight. I bet it will give and stretch more as I use it. I am VERY impressed with this vacuum and happy I purchased it!

Buying online was great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shopping experience was great, shopping online can be difficult and confusing but I had no problem finding what I was looking for, compare different products based in performance and price. This is my second vacuum of the same brand and I loved so much that I had to buy the same brand again.

Works Well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has great suction and I like the different hose tip options. The ability to remove the body from the rest of it for easier portability is nice. It is a little awkward to push around and doesn't seem to go straight, as it keeps wanting to pivot on me. Thats my biggest gripe.

Nothing Beats A Shark
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already have a shark for upstairs and needed another for downstairs and in my theater room. I love the pivoting head to clean corners and tight spaces. What's even better is that the dirt chamber can be detached from the base and attachments can be added to clean stairs and even curtains. This feature makes it a cinch to clean in minutes. This vacuum has 3 settings for different types of floors. There's a setting for thick carpet, shag carpet and hardwood floors. There is also a compartment for disc shaped deodorizer that make the house smell really nice after your done vacuuming. The detachable dirt chamber is easy to clean and can be opened on both end for easy removal of everything you vacuumed up. The 2 features this vacuum has that my other does not is the deodorizer discs and the removable brush roll that you can detach and remove clogs from the vacuum or even string or anything that gets wrapped up in it. Overall this vacuum is awesome and a lot better than the one I've been using and picks up everything. The brush roll makes it easier to push than those older vacuums that don't have a brush roll. It's like the power steering in a car so to to speak. I would definitely recommend this to anybody that is looking for a great vacuum and doesn't mind spending the extra money. I will say it's definite work the price.

Loved the cleaning power! Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A super cleaner was amazed at how much it picked up!!! took a bit to get the hang of all the movable parts and attachments. When all together it is quite heavy-but I was used to a much smaller model.
