    I have three stories with hardwood, vinyl, carpet, and 2 very furry cats. A true test for a vacuum. What impressed me: This vacuum is strong! I gave it the test of a pre-vacuumed floor and it did great! It still picked up enough to almost fill the cup. The swivel head made it so easy too go around my dining room chairs. The cord is long and the dust bin empties easily. The on/off and floor type buttons are in the perfect spot- very convenient. And no matter what anyone says, a corded vacuum is always better since it does not run out when in the middle of a clean. The cleaning head disconnect is very easy to switch from floors to cobwebby ceilings. What did NOT impress me??? This vacuum cannot stand on its own!!! I set it against a wall and it slid down and scared the crap out of my cats. I needed to chock the front. And, this is not very lightweight. I cannot imagine my 78 year old mother trying to pick this up repeatedly when it keeps falling down. Shark needs to focus on this balance
