As an owner of just 1 cat, I have to say it’s astounding how much hair can come from a pet. Most vacuums I have used have done an acceptable job of cleaning things up, but this vacuum is by far the handiest that I have ever owned. Compact, easy to use, well-thought out and with plenty of suction this vac has become my go-to for everyday cleanup chores. Out of the box, this vac is extremely easy to assemble and is well labeled to assist with identifying parts. The “wand” core of the system is a hand-held component that is not too heavy, and well balanced when using one-handed. The extension tube, brush/roller base and attachments have a nice firm CLICK when coupling and are easy to detach by well-placed release buttons. I particularly like the baseplate/charging stand. This makes it very easy to store the vac in a convenient place and provides a charging connection so that it’s ready to go when you need it. The vac doesn’t stand on its own like a traditional upright, but I would consider this typical for ultra-portables like this. In operation, this is not nearly as loud as my traditional upright vacuum, and it is similar to another brand of compact vac I previously owned. The brush head is extremely easy to steer around obstacles and is very slim to scoot under things. The head is also very light, which is nice when attaching it directly to top handle/powered component. I find myself using this vacuum in this configuration more than any other as it excellent for cleaning upholstered furniture and things like carpeted stair treads. Without any attachments the wand is able to suck things up, but the round shape of the intake limits the pickup to a relatively small area. Like the other components, the crevice and bristle brush attachments are well designed and easy to pop on and off as needed for cleanups. Emptying the in-line cannister is very easy with just a push of a button and it empties out quite neatly. There is a perpetual filter in the cannister, with a small replaceable filter behind and I am curious to see how long the replaceable filter can go before becoming unusable. Though this vacuum would seem to be for occasional cleanups, I took it through my whole house to test it out. On a full charge I was able to vacuum a 9x12 carpet, a single flight of carpeted stairs and three average-sized bedrooms. The battery lasted through the whole test and I needed to empty the cannister just a few times. Pickup of small objects was good and the collection of cat hair it picked up was outstanding. I have also had excellent results cleaning my soft furniture. On hard floors this vacuum does as well with small items as I have experienced with other vacuums previously, and it works best without the roller as one would expect. Overall, this vacuum is an upgrade in all respects to my old stick/compact vac and has relegated my traditional upright to the basement waiting for a really big cleanup job. I have been impressed with the battery life, light weight and cleanup capability…in short, all the things I would be looking for in a vacuum of this type.

PROS: - Lightweight - NO CORD! - Charging stand - Re-usable filter - Compact storage CONS: - Storage for "Duster Crevice Tool", but not the "Pet Multi-Tool" - Vacuum doesn't really stand up-right without using the stand == SETUP == The vacuum itself is only three pieces: the "main" section/handle (the actual vacuum and dust bin), the extension (middle), and the brushroll (base/bottom). The stand arrives in two pieces: the base and the charging/connection neck. You will also connect the power adapter to the bottom of the stand, so it's out of the way and makes charging the vacuum super easy by just placing it onto the dock. There is small, re-usable air filter that's already installed. Whenever you need to clean it, just rinse it out in the sink (no soap!) and let it dry overnight before putting back into the vacuum. == DAILY USE == This is really ideal for those who have pets and live in small homes or take their pets with them on RV trips. The vacuum can break down into two pieces while on the stand for compact storage (which I think makes it really great for RVs/campers). We've found it particularly amazing for keeping our carpeted stairs clean. The brushroll is quite small, but works great! Even with pets and family members with long hair, it hasn't run into any issues with hair wrapping up in the brushes and causing any problems. Between the small brushroll and battery size, I'd highly recommend against making this your primary vacuum in a 3+ bedroom home with carpeting on all floors. The vacuum and wand section are so light, it's really great for clearing out any cobwebs at ceiling corners. Honestly, this vacuum is worth having just for easy cleaning of carpeted stairs alone! == MAINTENANCE == There's a single button slide to empty out the dust bin, just make sure you do it over/in your garbage bin. It's a small dust bin, so I would highly recommend emptying it out after each use. There is a small debris filter in the dust bin, Shark recomends that you just use a dry cloth to wipe it free of dirt/dust. There is an air filter and it's re-usable. To access it, just open up the dust bin and press a small button to detach the bin from the vacuum. The air filter is bright orange and easy to remove. Whenever it needs to be cleaned, just rinse it off in the sink (without using any soap or brush), let it dry overnight, and then put it back into the vacuum. == BOTTOM LINE == I love this just for making cleaning the stairs MUCH easier alone! It's small size and light weight make it easy for anyone (seniors or children) to use. The charging stand doubles as a storage stand, and the vacuum and be broken down into two pieces while on the stand, so you can store it in small closets (great for RVs/campers).

I like to think this wand redefined my perception on cordless wand vacuums. I wasn't sure a vacuum this small would be up to the task in our place, especially with our pet hair and dander that needs cleaning several times a week. But it was more than up to the task at picking up pet hair, stray litter, and even trapping dust particles. Performed wonderfully on hard floors as well as carpet and rugs. The cordless wand is very easy to use. I can do an entire cleaning round with one hand if needed. This includes emptying the dust bin. For most jobs not needed attachments you have everything you need literally at your fingertips. Remarkably convenient. It picked up a tremendous amount of debris during normal conditions. It has a great low profile that can fit under couches and other furniture with low clearance. It picks up in corners extremely well. The attachments maintain a nice seal of suction for things like cleaning crevices and under couch cushions. Then there were two tests I put it through that convinced me that this wand was serious about giving other vacuums a run for their money. The first test was I wanted to see if I could pick up a noticeable amount of debris after running another vacuum, particularly the circular, self-driving kind. And it actually did pick up and fill the dust bin more than I thought it would. Impressive! The next test was a personal test to end all vacuum tests for me. Was this wand able to pick up after me when I finish cutting hair? For years I've been cutting and styling my own hair and it's always such a chore to clean up after. I needed a vacuum that can clean the large areas of hair on the floor as well as not be such a hassle when cleaning the small in between areas of the bathroom counter. And the answer was yes, very easily. It took a minimum number of passes to pick up all the small bits of hair in the spaces and small ledges of the sink area. I didn't even have to come back later to clean spots I tracked over, but the vacuum missed. For me this is a huge deal and really sealed it as a winner. One mark against it, is the somewhat short battery life. I can get about 40 or so minutes of use before the meter shows no charge. I haven't had it completely turn off on me, just the light indicator show empty. I've never felt like I had to rush but I usually only clean one bedroom, a living room, one hallway, and a dining/kitchen area. Any larger living space would probably need more than one charge. But this wand makes vacuuming less of a chore and is so convenient to clean and maintain. Always left me with that dust free feeling after.

This seemed nice on paper… It looks nice, it’s light, but just heavy enough to feel like quality… it was even great in person for the first little while! BUT, it stopped being great just after it became non-returnable. It doesn’t work. The only way it actually picks up dirt or anything is if I JUST use the handle part of it. No attachments. That defeats the purpose of this vacuum. I could have saved a couple hundred bucks and gotten a decent hand vacuum. I will never recommend this to anyone, and I’m so upset that I’m not STUCK with it. Avoid at all costs. A dirt devil would beat this any day.

It's ok, great cleaning power. Horrible trap for debris. Way to small. Might as well use a dust pan and broom. Battery does not stay charged long. Great to keep in the car for the French fries you drop. That's about it.

I love the slim design, it’s great for a quick pick up in the kitchen. I don’t feel like it has great vacuuming pressure. It does leave some things behind and i’ll have to go back and forth in those areas. Still better than the Dyson I had.

This vacuum is great for light cleaning but other than that I would not recommend. It constantly has issues with vacuuming the smallest things like occasional litter spills or just light dusting.

This is one of the best vacuum cleaners both for hardwood and carpet flooring. Buy it and clean the carpet once, the amount of dust it catches, it's phenomenal!

It works very well but it struggles a little with my cat's hair.

Vacuum itself is a pleasure to use, but the charging dock is flimsy and prone to breaking, so expect it to break. When calling Shark about this, they explained that they did not cover the charging dock under their limited warranty.

It is very functional, the battery lasts 20 minutes and the filter is small but for what I need, which is my apartment, it is enough.

The worse one made. I have a cheaper one that works 100 times better. The Shark shopVac or ShopMop works better for a fraction of the price. However, it does look nice as a decorative cleaning piece in my living room smh!!!

This vaccuum cleaner would be a great choice if the battery lasted longer than 10mins. I let it set on it battery charger for days still get the same result.

It does ok, I can’t get enough suction to make the accessories work, so I know it is leaving dirt on the floor. The only thing I am excited about is it is quick and easy. Less weight than a full size vacuume.

This is an okay vacuum for everyday use. We have a mix flooring of tiles and carpeting. We struggled with a cheap cordedless vacuum for a year and still had to go back over it with our corded Dyson. I finally got this and have mixed review after almost 2 weeks of usage. Out of the box, everything was nicely packaged. It might look small/delicate but it does it’s job well. It is very light weight and simple to set up, charge and clean filter. Very maneuverable in tight spaces, this vacuum is good for small areas with lots of furniture, end tables, chairs, etc. in the way. I don't think this vacuum would be any good at deep carpets or large areas in a house, that's not what it's designed for. The noise is much quieter than my previous vacuum. My wife and I could have a normal volume conversation over it on the low-power setting. I didn’t feel like I was disruptive to anyone with the vacuum. When using the high-power setting, it was, of course, noisier, but still quieter than my other corded vacuum. You have to take your time a little more because this is not a high power corded vacuum, but it does pick up light stuff. I like that the battery is removable so you could feasibly have more than one if you want. The rollers on the brush head also feel very soft, unlike other hard plastic vacuum wheels which rattle across wood floors. There is also a kickback strip on the underside so nothing comes flying back at your feet. This works well for reaching high places – cobwebs, bugs, dust, etc. It works just ok as a vacuum. Yes, it sucks up dirt pretty well but the teeny/tiny dust cup makes it less useful for cleaning anything other than small messes. The battery life on this is not great. It lasts for about 20-25 mins max and takes couple of hours to charge. We used to own another brand stick vacuum and the battery life that was just as bad, It would get annoying at times when we would be vacuuming and all of a sudden, it stopped working due to dead battery. It would not even finish our upstairs on one full charge. We had to finish the rest with our other corded vacuum. I see the same issue with this one as well. If you adopt this vacuum with the thought of using it for the whole house, you cannot reasonably finish in a day unless you have a small house or apartment. Because of this, this vacuum will never be our primary vacuum, though it will be our go-to for quick jobs and for areas where maneuverability is needed - especially the steps. The battery life is going to get worse with prolong usage in future, although I hope that's not the case. So, if you are only vacuuming up little things every once in a while this would work. I haven't vacuumed out my car with this model yet, but I'm sure it would work great for that too. The charging platform is good but there is no place to store the upholstery brush – that is odd and a big oversight. Overall, I felt this thing had really great suction power on the low-power mode for picking up bits of paper, sand, fur, hair, dust, dirt, and crumbs but battery life is a big disappointment and might be a deal breaker for some.
