Don't waste your money
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After only a couple weeks the battery started only lasting about 10 minutes, won't fully charge. The suction when using as a wand sucks. This is not a shark quality item, spend the extra money and get a regular shark vacuum. After 2 months i threw this one away and got a regular one

Cordless & Compact
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this item for free in exchange for my honest review. First, I am actually living in an apartment with carpeting for the first time in several years, so I was needing a vacuum and on the look out for a good deal. Since it's been several years since I've really needed a vacuum, I'm kind of behind the times, and the last vacuum I owned/used regularly was a basic bagged vacuum, so keep that in mind as you read the review! Pros: - it's cordless! No more pesky cords getting vacuumed over or tripping you, etc! - it can be used as a handheld OR an upright vacuum (which works great for me, since one of the carpeted areas in my apartment is my stairs!) - it charges pretty quickly - small footprint for a vacuum (other than the charging station) - pretty powerful, considering the size and weak battery life! Cons: - weak battery life for a gadget of this price - Shark advertises 16 minutes per full charge, which would be fine for my uses (only the stairs and my bedroom are carpeted), but if you have a lot of carpeting in your house, I can't imagine you'd be able to get it all done on one charge. - I really don't think they could put anymore buttons and switches on this thing! It makes it really confusing until you get used to it - I'm not sure how many times I opened the dirt compartment instead of turned the thing on the first few times I used it! - the charging station is both good and weird - it's great that it has two charging ports (one for each part of the vacuum), but why are there two attachments and only one spot to store one of the attachments? It's like they forgot about the second attachment! All in all, it is a decent vacuum, but the price tag is a little steep for my taste. I would expect a lot more from a vacuum for the MSRP it is listed at!

Compact lightweight Vacuum for easy cleanup
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 3-in-1 cordless vacuum is designed for small areas and quick easy cleanup and works great for what its designed for and is not going to be useful for whole home cleanup. It has got the suction power for cleaning the pet hairs and is very lightweight. It quickly converts to a hand vac and to a stick vacuum very easily. In the box: Vacuum with a stand to recharge, pet tool, duster crevice tool, manual. Set up was fairly easy. Followed the steps to assemble and took less than 2 minutes. Charged the unit fully which took around 2 hours and there are set of LED light to indicate the level of charge. Tested the hand vac to clean our car and it did a great job removing all the dirt, dust, and pet hair very well. Very lightweight compared to leading brands and is very useful for quick cleanups in cars and doesn’t cause fatigue to hands when vacuuming tight spots. It has got the self-cleaning brush roll and that avoids wrapping the pet hairs making the after cleaning a breeze. This vacuum comes handy for my wife in the kitchen for quick cleanups every morning after kids’ breakfast and is always charging and useful when needed. Battery seems to be good for quick cleanups and is very simple to use. Comes with the stand and has a storage slot to store one of the cleaning tool and not the other one which is a bummer. Emptying the vacuum is not hard but have to be careful when sliding the release button to empty and be sure you point towards the trash bin to avoid messing up the floor again. Overall, highly recommend for cordless functionality, lightweight, powerful suction vacuum that can pick pet hair and does the job good like traditional corded vacuum for quick cleanups.

Sucks (not in the way a vacuum should)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this vacuum sucks and I will be replacing it. the suction sucks and it does terrible with pet hair and things like small amounts of litter. the filter gets clogged and the vacuum only really works with a push motion, the pull back dent do anything. it did good for about a month and now pretty much doesn't work.

Almost perfect cordless vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark Wandvac 3 in 1 is an easily recommended stick vacuum. It's simple to set up, easy to use, low maintenance, versatile, and does a good job on both carpet and bare floor. Positives: -Set up is quite literally a snap. You can have the whole thing together and ready to go (charge first) in just a couple of minutes. -Comes with a stand for charging and holding accessories. -Pretty strong suction power--I felt it did a great job on my carpeted areas, and I didn't find things left behind on bare floors. Also resists hair tangles, which I greatly appreciate. --Versatile. The different operating modes allow one device to be used for multiple purposes. Also, the turbo boost giving just a little extra power when you need it. --Fairly lightweight without feeling flimsy. --Lower TCO because of no bags Negatives: --The dirt compartment is on the small side and thus needs to be emptied more frequently. --I can't get the vacuum, in floor vacuum mode, to stand up without falling over. --If you have a lot of square footage to go over, you might run out of battery before you're done. This is at least my third or fourth Shark product, and they've all been uniformly excellent. This will takeover as my new primary vacuum for most of my house. I think the negatives here are more quibbles than true negatives, and perhaps the only missing feature might be something like a more advanced filter. But overall, this has been a great product, very easy to use, and very easy to recommend.

disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After opening I realized I wanted wireless. So sent it back and got wireless. When I assembled it and charged it it didn't work. Called Shark and they sent another. Got that one today. I assembled it and it wouldn't fit in the charger. Called Shark again. They recommended charging the hand held. Doing that now. They will send the correct bottom in 5-7 days. Very annoying. Thought Shark was a good brand. So disappointed. So saga still not through.

Solid 4+ Wandvac
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark Wandvac came well packaged - all the components were protected from shipping damage. The Quick Start guide was well written, with clear illustrations. One of the first things I noticed about the wand, was the great design. I like how it comes with a charging base, making it very easy to pull the unit on and off for quick cleanup. It turns from a standard upright vacuum into a hand vacuum or into a hand-held wand, very easily by pulling up on release tabs. It's also extremely easy to empty the dust cup and access the filter. The charging base holds the crevice tool that comes with the wand, but I couldn't find a place to store the brush attachment that came with it. I use the wand for quick cleanups on both my kitchen tile and on my living room carpet. It does an adequate job on both surfaces without adjusting anything on the wand. I deducted one star because the suction, while good for most things like grass, lint, dead flies, crumbs, doesn't seem to be strong enough sometimes unless I go over the same area 2-3 times. It is still a very convenient vacuum for the kitchen, and one of the best features is how lightweight and easily it moves around. I also like how it turns into a wand (perfect for the couch), with one simple release. Overall, a solid vacuum wand.

A Pleasant Surprise
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little worried that this small stick vacuum would either not have strong suction or the small dustbin would be a complete nuisance. Shark, however, has pleasantly surprised me with this model. There's a lot to like about it, and really only one small annoying thing. It was easy to unbox and get set up on the stand very quickly. The charging stand is simple, but very handy for holding the stick vac and making it super easy to grab and use then just slip back on the charger. But the stand did contain the one annoying thing with this system: They had a convenient place to store one of the attachments on the stand, but nothing for the other brush attachment. I mean, the stand even has plenty of space on the other side for another attachment. I'm completely amazed they didn't build that in. So, as I said it's a small annoyance but the brush attachment is just laying loose on one side of the stand. The stick vac seems to have plenty of suction with the floor brush. I'm able to pick up the easy stuff like cat hair, but it's also good at sucking up cat litter and small bits of food. The battery also seems to last plenty long for what I need. This isn't a tool you're going to clean the entire house with anyway, but just hit the worst areas or do quick cleanups around the pet traffic areas. It seems to be perfect for that. A lot of stick vacuums have a larger dust bin that hangs off the stick part, but not this one. It truly is a stick shaped vacuum and so the dustbin is necessarily pretty small. In fact, when I first unboxed it I was describing it as thimble-sized. However, after using it for a week now I have to say I'm impressed. The first time I used it, I couldn't tell how full it was getting but I just kept going until I had the job done. I thought "I don't know where it's putting it all, but we'll see what happens." When I emptied it, all the cat hair was woven into a pretty compact "donut" around the metal screen filter. But it emptied right out with no effort and was ready to go again if needed. I guess the suction is strong enough that it compacts the fluffy cat hair without jamming up the air flow. However they did it, the design seems to work. All the buttons on the stick are conveniently toward the top. These include the power button, and two buttons on the side that let you easily detach the vacuum and dustbin part from the lower brush. Then, you just take that part to the trash and press another slide lever that pops open the dustbin and dumps it into the trash. You just need to tap it against the bin a couple of times to get some dust out. If you want to really clean it out, a quick wipe with a damp paper towel around the screen filter and inside gets most of the dust and tiny particles out that may have stuck. Overall, I'm really happy to add this Shark to my arsenal for fighting the pet mess around the house. It's so convenient and easy to use, I'm sure I'll vacuum more often than before which is a very good thing.

Capable Cordless
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised by this little vac. It definitely falls between a full-size vacuum and a dust-buster, and it's nice having that versatility. For small clean-up jobs, it is much easier to grab this off the charger than to bust out my large vac, untangle the cord, drag it over, and so on. Pull on levers at the handle to detach the main vac segment and you basically have yourself a dust-buster good for cleaning tables, countertops, or even bringing out to your car. You can also attach the small crevice tool to get into small corners. The tool also has a brush attached to it that you can swing into place. A clever function if you ask me. If you're looking for something a little longer, you can attach the long "tube" so then you have "wand mode" which is good for reaching higher places (such as the corners of your ceiling). Even though that piece of the vacuum isn't heavy, it still felt like it added a lot of weight to the end of the vacuum and wasn't super comfortable to hold it up high for extended periods. But still more versatile than a full-size vacuum with the nozzle attached to a hose. The attachments also fit into the end of this as well. Then finally you can stick the whole thing onto the brush motor and use it like a regular vacuum. In this mode, I found very light and nimble, and was easy to get into tight places my full size vacuum, or even robot vac can't. Suction power obviously isn't as great as a full-size vac but was better than I expected and generally adequate for 90% of cleaning jobs. And I almost like the gentler suction, as it feels safer to use around things like wires or other things I don't want sucked into the vacuum, but still want to clean around. The dust container is small, but again, seems to pack in more than expected. It has a curious two-chamber design, where one seems to catch lighter large things like pet hair, and the other seems to capture small particles like dust, sand, dirt, etc. Due to the small openings of the vacuum, don't expect to pick up very large items. Even a piece of popped popcorn will typically be too big for this. When emptying the dust cup, you push a lever and it springs open with moderate amount of force, and basically tries to fling the dirt out. So, the first time I emptied it, I basically flung the dirt back onto my floor. So make sure you hold the wand horizontally and right on top of the garbage when emptying. This vacuum almost makes cleaning fun, and I'm glad to have it in my arsenal of cleaning tools.

A useful vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark Wandvac is a lot more convenient than I originally thought. At first glance, the Wandvac is essentially a handheld Shark Vacuum with an attachment to turn it into a floor vacuum. What you don’t realize, is how powerful this little vacuum really is. Inside the box includes the hand vacuum, 2 extension tools, a wand, powerfin floor nozzle (the floor vacuum attachment), and a docking station. Assembling the vacuum is extremely easy, it’s pretty self-explanatory. The charging dock station is small and makes storing the vacuum easy as well, though I wish they would have included a storage slot for both the attachments… The Wandvac is cordless and has a rechargeable battery, and to my surprise – the battery actually lasts a long time on a single charge. One of the highlights to this vacuum, is the self-cleaning brushroll that prevents hair from wrapping around it. This I can say actually does work, I’ve used this on my floor many times and have yet to find any hair wrapped around it. The Wandvac is very powerful for its size and unlike like many hand vacs I’ve used in the past, this doesn’t get that hot after longer sessions of use. The size and weight of this vacuum, makes it perfect for cleaning up small dry-spills, kitchens, air vents, under desks and in tight spaces. It cleans just as well on tile as it does on carpet. The only problem is the small dust cup capacity. This will not replace the house vacuum, due to the small size of the dust cup, instead it works as a quick clean up for small areas. Overall, I fell in love with the Wandvac after 2 days of owning it. This vacuum has come in handy so many times. It’s small, portable and light weight, yet it is very powerful. It works great on both tile and carpet. Plus, the ability to break it down and use it as a handvac makes it great for smaller spaces like cars, or couches etc. I do wish they added another slot on the charging base for the second attachment, as well as make the dust cup bigger…But it’s great for what it is and I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
