Versatile and Easy to Use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum both doubles as a lightweight unit for cleaning floors and a convenient handvac that has a unique design. Out of the both the pieces snap together easily with no tools. The charging pad is easy to use in that all you do is set the vacuum on it and slide the connector into place. It can be a little tricky to get it lined up at first, but is easy once you get the hand of it. It only takes about an hour to charge and there are three LED lights on the front that let you know the charge status. The handle is unique and easy to hold. There is no trigger to hold in like similar stick vacuums. Once you press the power button it remains on until you press it again. I was surprised that I could almost vacuum my entire house from the basement to all four bedrooms on one charge. It doesn't have the suction of a full size vacuum, but this works well for me when cleaning rugs throughout the house so it doesn't get clogged trying to completely suck it up. It comes with two handy attachments for using in the handvac configuration. The dust container is rather small, but I was pleasantly surprised with how much it holds. The dusk pan is easy to open, however you must remove the handvac handle from the vacuum attachment first. I wasn't sure if I would like this initially but it is easy to remove. All attachments come off easily by just pulling on on levers on either side of the handle. This is a great vacuum for quick cleanings, rugs, stairs and any other jobs that require a handvac.

Not worth it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It doesn’t hold a lot of dirt. If you live alone it would be ok to use. Not good for vacuuming up after pets.

Great little unit! Impressive power for the size!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Wandvac beat my expectations for sure! I expected a little hand vacuum that happened to have some attachments to get some slightly bigger messes in a pinch. What you actually get is a fairly powerful little unit that can actually tackle a couple small to medium size rooms and still have enough to do a quick run of a staircase or entryway/hallway before running out of battery. It actually has the power to pull hair from thinner carpets, or soft medium carpet (human or animal). I thought the small container dirt container would be its downfall, but the amount of power vs the size of the canister is quite well balanced. The ability to detach quickly to change your cleaning type is great, and the charging stand is a genius way to have it ready to go. My wife and I also LOVE the quick and easy dumping mechanism built into the handle. Just make sure you have the unit lined up with your garbage, so you don't miss! (I may have dumped a small bit of dust/dirt beside the trash my first try) TLDR : If you need a small/lightweight and portable vacuum for smaller messes, don't pass up this little beast!

Convenient vacuum for small areas
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this light weight little vacuum. It seems to have enough suction and it’s easy to handle - gets under furniture well. Easy to empty. One star taken away because the battery life is really very short. Also it’d be nice if it had a light on the vacuum but I suppose that would make it even more battery hungry. I think this is a good choice if your home is not too large or you don’t have too much carpet.

Very disappointed!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does not vacuum well at all. I really thought i was supposed to be able to vacuum my hard floors, not just carpet. It does mediocre on carpet. On my hard floors it may get picked up going forward slowly, it may. But after i vacuum i look around and it looks like i did nothing at all. So disappointed

Do NOT buy.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Joke. Do not buy. It does not stand up on its own, it must be propped up against something or it will fall over and break. It also must be stored on the charging platform which must be plugged in....but most people keep a vacuum cleaner in a closet....and who has a closet with an outlet in it???

Okay secondary vacuum, but won't replace your main
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark Wandvac makes for an excellent secondary vacuum, but it won't replace your main vacuum. It's relatively slim and compact, it holds a nice amount of charge and lasts for quite awhile between charges, and the detachable wand is very convenient for getting at hard to reach places. Unfortunately, it lacks power and has a very small dust bin. I can see this working well as a secondary vacuum for storage and use in something like a finished basement or RV, but I can't see using this as your primary vacuum for a good sized house or apartment. It just doesn't have the power to accomplish this. And even if it did, the dust bin is too small and would need to be emptied constantly. As far as being a "Pet" vacuum goes, I found this machine really struggled to clean up cat hair. It kind of blew it around a bit, but very little was actually getting sucked up. The wand removal isn't terribly intuitive (there are two buttons along the sides of the wand unit that pop it off the center "pipe"), and there is an odd "hook" attachment on the front of the pipe for hanging the wand unit for storage (it doesn't charge while in this position, so I gather that it's just to make it more compact for fitting in a closet or something). I can see the value of this unit as a secondary vacuum, but it won't replace your main vacuum.

Great all-around vac
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing I noticed and loved about this vac is the docking station. You don't need to attach it to a wall as the docking station sits right on the floor. That makes it so easy to move if I wish to change where I want to charge it. It breaks down easily so you can use it in one of 3 ways, as a hand-held, as a regular vac or as a wand to reach high places such as light fixtures or the ceiling. There is the ability to add a power boost if you have a tough mess to clean up. It does a great job on both hardwood and carpeted floors and is very easy to maneuver into corners. Picks up pet hair great. The one con I can see is the length of charge. I've gotten between 15 and 20 minutes which is not enough to do the whole house. However, as we generally do each floor on a different day, I'm not having a problem but I did want to point out the time the charge is held. Overall, I love this Wandvac and highly recommend it.

Good vacuum for light cleaning
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is truly a light weight vacuum, but no compromise in the suction power. It is perfect for the daily kitchen cleanups and light vacuuming. For the weekly bigger cleaning, I see myself using a heavier vacuum. The footprint is quite small, the charging base is compact, and will fit easily in any closet or behind a furniture. The vacuum can be separated into two parts, the handheld part has a charging port on the base. This worked perfectly for us, as the vacuum is charged in the coat closet and lowering the height meant it was not in the way of the jackets. Now on the suction power - for the size of the vacuum and how light the vaccine is, it is surprising how strong the vacuum is. The vacuum’s suction power is comparable to other expensive cordless vacuums - it picks up the heavy and the light dirt on the hardwood floor, and does a equally good job on the carpet. I have a pet, and it picks up pet hair very well without any tangles in the brush. This is one of the biggest positives for this vacuum! The vacuum looks good - sleek, charge display look modern! The battery is removable so you could feasibly have more than one! The filter needs to cleaned every month! Now on the cons: Whenever I take a break in vacuuming to pick up something of the floor, and make the vacuum upright, the vacuum is not stable. It falls to one side! I wish the charging cable was longer, the current length means the charging base needs to be closer to the power outlet. The charge would be longer - on non boost charge, it only lasts for 25 minutes... on boost, it lasts for about 10 minutes! This makes the vacuum only quick cleanup vacuum.

Good versatile sweeper, not for primary vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark Wandvac is a very versatile and interchangeable sweeper, but please don't think it will replace your full-sized vacuum. Upon opening the box, I thought "How many parts does this thing have"? It comes with the Wandvac main body, a long tube for reach and a floor attachment. It also comes with a brush and crevice tool. Putting everything together and understanding how the floor charger worked was painless (you can charge it while in floor attachment mode, or by the wand itself (Cool!). It took me a try or two to understand how the dirt cup works, but I finally have the hang of it, just make sure the wand is completely over the trash bin. Now, I will say as a wand vacuum this does a really good job, both with quick clean-ups and in my car. It uses rubbery fins to beat the carpet or floor to pick up most loose items. It is not, however, anywhere near strong enough to replace my full-sized Shark. I would say it is great for picking up quick messes (it was a "high-power mode that is enabled by squeezing the handle, which helps greatly when cleaning the car) and really good on hard floors. Battery life was long enough to get me through my medium-sized house, with a little left over for some high powered extra messy areas. As a quick cleaner with lots of capabilities this is a good buy. Just make sure you know it's limitations.

Sucks in a bad way,
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always liked Shark vacuum products. They tend to be built well, are very powerful and performs as well as or better than units that are hundreds more. Sadly, the Shark WANDVAC does not measure up. It is not that it is terrible, I just expected for more than for the price. In review: Build quality – All plastic design that just feels cheap. Lots of flex and makes me question it’s long term durability. Suction – Mixed at best. For small hand vacuums it is not bad. But not bad does not mean powerful. If I a Shark Duo Clean corded vacuum is 10, this is 2. Cleaning – I separated out the cleaning ability from the suction because the Shark WANDVAC cleaning head is very effective. Shark’s engineering really has nailed their head designs. I was really expecting the worse based on the suction, but the head does a great job on both bare floors and carpets. Battery life – Shark does not specify how long battery lasts (at least that I can find) but the WANDVAC average about 15 minutes of run time with mixed use. That little run time puts this in the category of spot and small rea cleaning. I’d like to say it was disappointing, but I knew when I saw the small battery that it was not going to be good. Ergonomics and maneuverability – The unit is lightweight and easy to maneuver. I found I could fit the head under all furniture and the it easily turned corners. Button placement is perfect . Dirt compartment – Laughably small and hard to completely empty/clean. Another sign that this is a spot cleaner. Sound – I read few reviews online that the unit was loud and I did not find that to be the case at all. Small, low wattage vacuums tend to be quiet compared to their bigger counterparts. Tools – Basic crevice tool and brush multitool. Not terribly effective and does not pick up a lot. In conclusion, this should have been better in this price range. Shark needs to drop the price by half of what it listed on the Bestbuy. Think about this, of only $90 more you can get a Dyson V8 that handedly crushes the Shark. I know Shark was trying for an opening price point vac that did nearly what more expensive vacuums do but this is just fall way short. In mind opinion, they should just eliminate the tool altogether and or shop the price by half. Sorry Shark, there were just too many negatives on this one. Good gluck on the next one.

Better than a Dyson.. Juet get an extra battery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I see some negative reviews.. and I have to say, that I am a little shocked as this thing works so wonderful.. light weight.. great for maybe the older person that just needs a daily quick sweep of hard floors... and even carpet... but that battery life is about 15 minutes on full max use... SOLUTION... buy another battery... the price of this vacuum is like 300 less than a Dyson.. you could easily get 2 more batteries and still be way below that price tag... I love this design easy to get under low furniture... no hair tangles to deal with and easy to dump debris... I have dogs and this is great for daily use... I do have a Shark Rocket that you plug in but it's bulky and not something I want to drag out everyday... This little guy has power and very ergonomic...designed with quality in mind.. Anyone can use it... Just buy the extra battery on their website.. they even have extra chargers too..
