Not a good buy for the buck$

Very good

I cannot speak too much about the value for the money, because I believe most of the advantage is the convenience of a battery based model, but so far no complaints.

ok, but not worth price

There's a similar small, streamlined hand vacuum that costs about $40 and works as well, so I don't think I would recommend the Shark. There's a design flaw with this in that the on button is right next to the button that ejects a bunch the garbage out of the vacuum! It is very easy to mistake one for the other and wind up emptying all the crap you just vacuumed onto the floor. Dumb design, and since you are paying primarily for the design of this thing, it is hard to excuse. The button to open the vacuum and eject waste should not be that close or that easy to mistake for the on button.
