Fairly large in size and features. Premium look with stainless steel inserts and gray interior which differs from more mainstream microwaves. And while it may not seem all that important, this 1000 watt microwave brings just a bit more power to cooking than the 750/800 watt smaller units. I found that most every food I re-warmed took less time to re-heat than in a smaller 750 watt unit. I actually had to dial back the time to pop popcorn by about 15 seconds as well as this unit does cook much faster. There are presets for commonly heated items like potatoes and popcorn though I did not try either of those. There are some for products I never put in a microwave like pizza and when I reheat items I usually do by time. Interior of unit is dark grey inside which is a bit dark but nonetheless easy to clean. My previous microwave had a gray interior as well and I got used to keeping it clean just by adopting wipe after use for things I know will splash like spaghetti sauce or soups. One added benefit - it has a kitchen timer! My prior unit did not and that really bothered me and that was a major pain. I like to use the oven to time other things even when I'm not using the oven. This is really handy! The price for this is not really that expensive considering the size and the wattage of the unit and it really looks good on the counter.

This is the loudest microwave I can turn it on and hear it from the upstairs bedroom, the materials it's made with is hella cheap! I would not recommend anyone to purchase this item !

Not happy with the purchase but I am tired of working with Best Buy about the situation

The numbers 7,8 and 9 are not working. I’m trying to return but unfortunately my return date just expired yesterday.

Smells like an electrical fire every time i use. Do not buy.

We are 14 months in, and it's not working anymore.

This is my third Sharp microwave and it does not disappoint. It has all the features that I need (and some that I don't) without overkill, and all are easy to use. I like that door opens with a latch rather than just being pulled--much easier on my arthritic fingers. The size is perfect for my counterspace.

This microwave came to us busted and damaged. Had to return to the store.

Purchased this to replace an older Sharp microwave. Good value. Works fine. Clean lines. Quiet operation but door opening and closing a bit noisier than my older unit.

Microwave ovens have been around for nearly half a century now, so it’s not easy to come up with new things to say about them. But I will say that this Sharp oven, which we’ve had now for most of a week, is one of the nicest I’ve owned, for several reasons. It is just the right size for a countertop microwave. It’s not the massive behemoth that takes up half the space on your kitchen counter, but, at 1.1 cubic feet, it’s not so small that it can’t hold a large platter of food. At 1000 Watts, it’s as powerful as any of the full-size ones. Many smaller ovens, including the one we’re replacing with this one, are lower power, and that means longer times for cooking, reheating, or whatever. While most ovens nowadays have all kinds of pre-programmed buttons for defrosing, cooking certain kinds of food, making pizza and popcorn, and all the rest, this one seems to haveevery base covered. Power level adjustment is easy, and the oven can be programmed to change power level during the course of a cooking process. It has auto-defrost features for meat, poultry, and fish. The buttons themselves require just the right amount of pressure to activate. On some ovens, I find myself really pushing on the number pad or button pad to get a response, but not with this one. One thing to note is that the display, which shows the clock, cooking time, etc., is among the brightest I’ve ever encountered. You walk into the kitchen at 2 a.m. when the house is dark, and there’s enough light in there now that you can practically read by it. If there was a way to do it, I would decrease the brightness, but there’s no mention of a way to do this in the manual. This does not detract from the attractiveness of this oven both in appearance and features. It’s just something to note. I would easily recommend this to anyone needing a new microwave oven.

Unboxing this Sharp microwave, the first thing you notice after the unwrapping is this unit looks sharp. It made a great looking addition to my kitchen but then again I guess that would be relative to the color scheme of your kitchen. My home and hence my kitchen is on the smaller side and this microwave fit perfectly. At 1.1 cu ft, it is more than adequate for our use. Our family never really "cook" anything in a microwave so we never had the need for anything larger. The only thing I notice at this size, is that certain store bought frozen foods such as a lasagna can be a bit tight, but it does fit. As for the features of this unit, it is pretty straight forward. Plug and play as you will. If you ever used any microwave, you can use this one. I like that the extra 30 second key is also the Start button and not mixed with all the other buttons like my old microwave. You don't think about it, but with my old microwave, I had to look for that key as not to press the wrong one next to it. With the Sharp, it's at the bottom Start button, easier. Silly, I know, but still convenient. Another thing I really like with the Sharp as opposed to my old unit, was the carousel seems a lot more stable. Because my microwave was set on an elevated shelf, I had to reach up and grab my food and at times would accidentally bang plates on the carousel knocking off it's base. With the Sharp, it hasn't done this. I haven't used all the presets, but the ones I did have worked well. Food items was heated evenly which is a huge plus. I really think this is one of the best microwaves I have ever owned and for the price, it really can't be beat. Sharp got a winner with this one.

The Sharp 1.1 cu ft Stainless Counter Top Microwave is a no-nonsense kitchen essential. Unboxing the Sharp microwave is straight forward and pretty easy to do. Once outside of the box, you will notice that the microwave is fairly small in size and is not very tall which is perfect for fitting under a cabinet or shelf. The Stainless-Steel outside is a nice touch and should stand up to daily use very well. The touch menu is standard fair with nothing too complicated. One thing to note, you will notice that the menu input will produce a sound. To run this microwave in silent mode, all you need to do is hold down the menu button 8 for 3 seconds and voila, you are in silent operation. To reenable the sound, hold down the 8 button again for 3 seconds and you are back in sound mode. This microwave has been certified for Orville Redenbacher’s Microwave Popcorn to pop the perfect bag of popcorn. Being the skeptic that I am, I put this to the test. Simply placed the bag of Orville Redenbacher’s Microwave Popcorn in the microwave, pressed the Popcorn button and it popped the perfect bag of popcorn, just as advertised. Overall, my family and I are very pleased with the Sharp 1.1 cu ft Stainless Countertop Microwave and look forward to many meal adventures ahead for on the go. We highly recommend you check out this microwave for your next kitchen appliance.

The Sharp 1.1 Stainless Countertop Microwave is the best mid size for a single person home and does not take up too much counter space. I love that the inside is a lovely dark grey color and the clock is brighter than most I've had in the past when the lights are off. Of course, my favorite buttons are the 30 second used to warm up my coffee and the Popcorn Orville Redenbacher's made perfect button. There are five preset one touch cook functions for most popular items use to cook or reheat at the top. The feature diagram is simular to most other microwaves with number buttons in the middle, auto defrost pad power level, clock, memory button, express cook, kitchen timer that is used as a minute timer to delay cooking. The wattage ouput chart uses numbers from 10 down 0 that represent power level with 10 being the maximum of 100 percent. The manual included is very detailed with instructions, cooking techniques for every feature and even have its own Sharp Stainless Contertop Microwave Recipes. Sharp has long been one of the premiere companies in manufactoring great products. I can't say enough about the first Sharp Microwave I purchased that lasted over 20 years and never stopped ticking.

This microwave unit is well-sized and well-powered. It is big enough to handle almost any dish you would want to put in it without taking up your whole countertop. It actually fits very nicely in a cut-out shelf that I have with good clearance around it. It has all of the standard features and adjustments (time cook, +30 seconds, power level, defrost, etc...) you expect from good microwaves along with some other nice and easy to use features. I am a big fan of the Auto Cook menu. This has settings for a variety of commonly cooked microwave foods preset into the microwave that are very easily adjusted on the touchpad to fit the amount/weight of food you are cooking or warming up. I have found these settings to be very accurate with the items I have tried. The potatoes have cooked throughout and the microwave pizzas have been pretty much perfect without having to guess how much time due to variations between microwaves. An added bonus for the popcorn lovers (i.e. my wife) is the Orville Redenbacher's Certified Popcorn Preset. This really does work to optimize your popcorn popping. I would definitely recommend this microwave.

I got this microwave as the last one start to peel on the inside. This one is smaller but just as powerful. I like that it takes up less counter space. I haven’t had anything that hasn’t been able to fit. It cooks quickly and evenly. I’m very happy with this microwave.

I needed a new smaller sized microwave to fit in my cabinet space. This seemed to be a good option, and it is 1000 watts too. The numbers display is bigger than my old one and it is simple to operate. So far, it is working great.

I’ve always liked Sharp products, this microwave is no exception. Its sleek, modern looking, has fast even heating, plenty of space inside, kind of lightweight and the 1000 watts is amazing for the money I paid…such a great buy. No complaints.
