Not bad for the price but was expecting more
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv looks good 4K so far is not something you can get a lot out of right now but the main main problem is the Hulu situation since this tv is married to Netflix you can't have a Hulu app

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I brought this TV home and he was very disappointed with the color. We exchanged it for a little less expensive Sony which is was a lot better and clearer.

Great TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a excellent buy for under 600 for a 4k tv. Picture is great for a 43inch. There some minor issues with the lay out of the hdmi (inputs and outputs) I prefer to have the outputs facing the rear of TV, but on this tv the outputs face to the side for easy access. I had to changed how I had my wiring set in the rear of tv. Second is the remote if cheaply made flimsy but I never use the remote. These are minor issues overall is a great buy

Good but pay attention
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first 4k TV. I previously owned a Sharp 32" LCD TV and loved the picture quality, inputs and ease of use; this TV is very similar. - Picture Quality: Good, not always 100% great due to 60hz refresh rate; not a deal breaker for me due to size of TV. - Inputs: Awesome - Setup: Very easy New Features: - Smart Central is cool but I rarely use it as I don't have cable; internet only. That said, where is the "browser" or is it the search feature in Smart Central? If the latter, not a fan and somewhat misleading. - Miracast: Overall, it just doesn't work well. It freezes up all the time. Tested on a Sony 50" in same environment #bandwidth, etc.# and it worked perfectly for hours so it's not my devices. - Design and Stand: The TV looks really sleek and stylish. The only cool thing about the remote is the reaction of the Netflix button...other than that, it's pretty much useless. Overall, I like the TV but would love for it to do all of the things it says it can #true web browser and effective Miracast#. I still may return as I'm inside of 30 days - but only because I'm a stubborn geek.

Tv arrived broken
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Kind of disappointed with all the experience, this tv was a gift for my best friend, for her beach house, the tv arrived without any note of who sent it to her, and I did wrote a note on the bestbuy webpage when it asked me if that item was a gift, but the worse at all, tv arrived broken.

Amazing TV with a few bugs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Sharp TV, I was in the market for a bigger replacement TV for the bedroom, and found this new model at best buy. I was not really interested in 4k, but for only a little more and 4 HDMI ports, it was worth the money. All I can say, when I set it up I was blown away. The picture is amazing, well worth the money. With the latest patch added support for smart phone remote apps, I am quite happy. I do have a few issues with it that prevents me from giving it 5 stars (that's way I am only giving 3) 1) There is a BUG in the TV where if you press the keys to fast it locks up that key (even on a different remote) until you press another key. For example raise the volume quickly, it will stop working til you mute or volume down, then it will work again. 2) When you have the energy saving mode to turn of the TV after 3 hours, the message that comes up gets ghosted in and doesn't leave until you change channels. So if it says it will turn off in 59 secs and you hit volume up, the TV won't turn off but the message (TV will turn off in 59 secs) will stay on the screen until you flip channels. Very annoying. It would also be nice if you could have to option to set it from 3 hours to like 6 hours or 8. 3) Not a bug, but an oversight in my opinion. On my other Sharp TV I can label the HDMI inputs, on this one you cannot. And with 4 of them it is hard to remember what is on what. It would just be a minor software change that would make the TV way more user friendly. In summary, great TV that can be made even better if they fixed the bugs and added HDMI Input labeling.

awesome tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I held off on buying a television until 4k tv s were more affordable. I thought about buying the 50" VIZIO 4K P SERIES but I figured it is too big for my room. I saw this 43" sharp 4k listed on best buy and jumped on it. the price is right, a 43" 1080p is just a couple hundred less. Straight out of the box, the image quality is decent, I noticed a pretty big white spot "clouding" or "flash lighting" on dark screens and almost returned it. but I started messing with the settings. I dimmed the back light and brightness and now the spot is hardly noticeable. That was probably my biggest complaint about the tv, but it's very hard to find a tv at this price without some kind of uniformity issue, especially at this size. Other than that, with proper setting adjustment the picture quality is amazing, nice deep contrast and color saturation. 4k content looks gorgeous. if you use netflix, use the native Netflix app on the TV for 4k content, it's fast and very user friendly. the speakers are adequate and I don't feel like I need a sound bar anytime soon. this tv has plenty of hdmi inputs, 2 USB 3.0, built in wifi and apps. standard coax cable and av inputs also. I would definitely buy this tv again and have already recommended it to a friend. my only complaint now is the tv control provided, it's cheap plastic and has no number buttons for changing tv channels. it won't be a problem for most people with cable boxes and those controls but for people like me using standard cable it's a pain in the butt changing channels.

Good TV with the potential to be great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first time buying a Sharp smart tv product. I must say that I am very happy with the purchase. The overall picture quality is very nice. The wallpaper feature is very pleasing aesthetically. The set up process is quick and fairly easy. There are a plethora of HDMI and USB ports to connect your favorite devices. There are three downsides to the product. 1.The remote is meh at best. It is small, flimsy and has little functionality relative to a usual smart TV remote. Sharp could have done a lot better on this. 2.The Apps that are available are limited. It comes preloaded with Netflix and others. However, Hulu is not available on the smart central platform and there is no way to download it as this time. I love Hulu so this is a big disappointment for me. 3.It is not Directv ready. This is not a huge issue for many as a lot of customers likely use cable, dish and other providers. The lack of compatibility to Directv is a issue for me. You cannot program the Directv remote to control the tv. There is a lag in the start up of displaying the picture as the tv is not Directv ready and will pop up a message in the bottom right corner of the display once it comes on stating that the tv is not compatible but the HDMI ports can be utilized to view Directv service. The Cons are minor when compared to the overall quality and performance of the TV. However it is enough to give you pause if you are someone who finds them important. If the aforementioned issues were fixed I would have no problem calling this a 5 star TV.

Great future proof TV and an amazing price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me first start off by saying that I did not purchase this TV for the "Smart TV" aspects (as I already have other methods to get my apps on my TV). I have always found most smart TV interfaces to be slow, clunky and not very intuitive. With that being said, this is an AMAZING value for what you do receive. This is my first 4K TV, and although the content to be enjoyed with 4 times HD resolution is limited at the moment, I am sure that in the coming years it will only become industry standard. I wanted to get in towards the ground level and get a 4K now and have a nice set for many years to come. I have always been a Sharp fan and this TV did not disappoint me. I am blown away by the quality of the 4K of this TV! The 1080 HD upscaling makes all of my games and movies crystal clear and almost "plasma TV esqe" in terms of smoothness. Comparing this set to a lot of other 4K options, this TV was most appealing because of the price and the ideal size that I was looking for. The only real let down for this TV is the pathetic remote...it's really bad, poorly designed and not intuitive at all in the layout or quality. Luckily I don't worry about remote features that much and this is a small setback to an otherwise great value for your money. This set would be most ideal for a modest bedroom or apartment sized TV set. Once again: BOTH HD AND UHD QUALITY ON THIS TV IS AMAZING. Buy this TV and enjoy content the way it was meant to be watched!

Overall - Pretty Good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Calibrated this tv with Disney WoW, and picture is outstanding. Have used Netflix with no problems. Only drawback - off angle viewing. If you are not directly in front of the screen the picture quality is not good.

Worst Remote in history of TV production
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was looking to upgrade my bedroom tv and had limited space between the ceiling top and the dresser mirror which limited the size i could go. I stopped at bestbuy without doing my research-big mistake. I expect the salesperson to know the product they are selling me-First question I asked, does it have the amazon app to stream prime without the need for a roku or apple type device. Also, does the remote have number access. The salesperson said it did have both. After getting it on the wall and turned on I realized the answer was no to both. The remote on this tv is the absolute worst . Like a throw away you get from a $29.00 China made no name electronic toy. To be honest the picture is great but I need the amazon app and a decent remote so I returned it for the no name Vizio M43-c1 which has more apps and a decent remote, picture about the same. Do yourself a favor, save time and do you homework before going into the store. I wasted a day playing around with the return

Bad Experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bough this TV and thought, "Wow, a 43" 4k TV for $449.99?!" Well, the deal was too good to be true: picture kept going to static, picture would tear every other minute or so, and yeah... the remote kinda sucked, but it's not as bad as everyone made it seem. The user interface on the TV was very basic and wasn't scaled for 4k, it looked like 720p with no smoothing so it was chunky and blocky. It looks nice though, color reproduction was good, sound was better than the TV it replaced. Sat maybe 10 hours in my dorm room before being returned.
