    Unfortunately Disapointing

    I thought I had found a great TV for the price. As others have mentioned the remote is poor quality. The Sharp website offers a smart central app for the android which I could not get to work even with tech support. The TV advertises Web browsing but it is not available. Hulu is also not available. Tech support just kept recommending I buy a Roxio or similar unit for additional apps. Not what I wanted to hear. I was so excited about this purchase and now I have to return the unit.

    Great For 4K Content, Not Great For 1080p

    For what little 4K content is available at the time of this review, this TV looked fantastic. For standard HD content, there was far too much picture degradation and pixilation to be acceptable. I experienced this from multiple input sources, including streaming content and my PS3. There were also visible vertical lines during bright scenes regardless of resolution. After trying multiple settings, I returned it and replaced it with an Insignia 1080p set of the same size, which looks great for what I want to do with it. Perhaps in the future when there is more 4K content available, I'll revisit the idea of a 4K TV. For now, it doesn't seem worth it.

    Wi-Fi drops, and speakers don't work

    After having an LG 42" for the last 14 years, and never a problem, I decide to look into a Sharp. WHAT A MISTAKE! The wi-fi connection constantly drops out, but only after switching from TV to a DVD, then the internal speakers work intermittently! Technician has been out, replaced a couple of boards, and wham; same thing happens again. They're willing to replace it if I take a used TV, and send them a credit card deposit for the amount I paid for the TV. Are they kidding, I already bought it once, and it's bad. I offered to return it to Best Buy, and they could ship the replacement there, but no, they won't do that! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

    I am totally disappointed with best buy and this tv.. There is no any function that suits me ...it doest have n build in apps its keyboard is terrible...please dont buy this ...i am going to return tomorrow

    NEW and Stuck on Logo Screen!

    Are you kidding me..? A not-yet-available firmware update to fix a known problem on a brand new TV? Stay away from Sharp!!! We have 5 new TVs stuck on the boot logo and sharp says they need to produce a firmware version to fix... These things just came out of the box!!!!!!! JUNK!

    Terrible side viewing angle

    The picture is good on 4k, but ONLY if you're directly in front of the screen. That said, picture quality is sub-par on anything other than 4k, and the real problem is the HORRID side view washout that occurs when viewing even a couple of feet to either side of center. This is typical in cheap off-brand "edge lit" LED TV's from what I've read, but I expected more from Sharp. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this TV. Spend a bit more and buy a TV that is "direct lit" instead of "edge lit". I'm done with buying Sharp products after this disappointing TV - back to Samsung!

    Great Picture (at First)

    Watched for 4 days and have been thrilled with the picture quality and features. On the fifth day a strange green halo began to appear around bright items in the pictures. The only way to get the green halos to disappear is to turn the contrast way down. Now the picture isn't what it used to be. I don't know why this strange effect began.

    Not worth it

    So I had the 43in Vizio 4K & I ended up returning it and got this Sharp one instead & man do I regret it!!! The picture is horrible & the remote totally sucks! Took forever connecting to my wifi & for some reason it keeps saying I have to connect even though I am already connected... Weird but I am definitely going to return it & get my Vizio back.

In regards to the remote control quality we are sorry it didn't meet your expectations and have forwarded your complaint to our product development team for future consideration. Amazon is coming via a firmware update within the next month or so, so please confirm you have your Auto Update feature enabled by navigating to the Information Menu > Software Update > select YES by Auto Update. Once the firmware is loaded it will then be prompted there's a firmware available once your turn on your TV set.     I purchased a 4K 43" Sharp TV and the unit failed almost immediately. I called the service # and was promised a repair appointment w/in 3-5 business days. This didn't happen. I called again.. The service dept. treated me so poorly, seemingly uncaring that I am having this difficulty, simply repeating that they have referred my repair request to a contracted service provider and could do nothing more for me. I am completely dissatisfied with the response I have received from Sharp and will insist on a refund.

    Don't buy Sharp

    Don't buy a Sharp TV, any size, I spent $2,600 on a 70 Inch Sharp and it died after 18 months and Sharp will not stand behind it.

    Not compatible with Direct TV

    Garbage, I set it up and sometimes it would work. Direct was not much help,finally gave up and exchanged for a Samsung.

    DO NOT BUY SHARP TVs

    We spent 4290 USd on a 70" inch 4k sharp tv - you would think that spending on "quality" should ensure quality! YOU WOULD BE WRONG. As we were, in just 14 months, the TV developed a striking blue line across the TV and in just 20 months the TV completely went off!! Now it wouldnt power on and the timer red light and power light keeps flashing. You are much better off hedging on a cheaper tv with extended warranties rather than spend on a high value product plus warranty extension!!

    Problems in 2 months

    Bought this TV because the ratings looked good and the salesman said it was a good model. I started having problems within 2 months of purchase and ended up having to send it out to be fixed. It kept turning itself off and freezing up while watching it. 3 weeks later, I received notice that they were going to give me a credit towards a new TV as apparently this one can't be fixed. Under warranty, but still a hassle and 3 weeks with no TV.
