Customer support for Sharp has been very responsive and instructed to perform a factory reset of the system. No additional instances have yet occurred, but did not anticipate issues of this nature with a TV that was only a matter of weeks old.

Room area for gaming and movies. The size, price and android tv was great for $500, but I just wasn't satisfied with the picture quality. Although the TCL doesn't seem to get as bright as the Sharp, the TCL seems to deliver more vibrant colors without looking over saturated. The Sharp has a lot of color banding if you make the picture bright, but if you dim the picture than it looks washed out. If I had gotten the Sharp tv first I might have been happy, but the TCL 4 series being my standard kind set the bar higher than I thought. Going to return the tv and now I'm considering the Sony X750h, Hisense H8G, or even the TCL 6 Series.

Example: If I go to Netflix or any other app to stream movies or shows the home page shows them in color but when I start a show it goes to black and white. If I then go to TV the color is distorted. I have to reset the picture in settings for it get the correct color bac. I have opened a case number, have done Factory resets and still has the same issue. Wanted a good big screen LCD TV but so far this one has been a lemon.
