Customers regard the picture quality of the AQUOS 65" Class 4K Ultra HD TV very favorably, with many positive comments. The TV's size is also appreciated, although some find the remote control to be subpar and lacking in features. While the smart features receive mixed reviews, the ease of setup and use is generally praised.

This was my second purchase of a Sharp Aquos TV in the past two years. The first one was 2 years old and the screen went out and of course it was out of warranty. However, I loved the picture quality and decided to give Sharp another try. I did not purchase the first one from Best Buy. Got this home and set up and immediately notice a red ghosting on 1/2 the screen. Best Buy was great in refunding my purchase and I purchased another comparable TV that day! No more Sharp TV's for me!

Good picture awful programming and remote

Purchased the Sharp Aquos HD 4D smart TV LC65UB0220149 and had it delivered on 8/29/2015. There were issues from the start. The delivery guys had trouble getting it set up to my HD antenna system. I sent them away and set it up myself. Programming for the digital air channels took a few times due to weather but finally worked. Wifi access setup worked first time and netflix worked but the set did not allow me to adjust the picture quality while viewing Netflx. How dumb is that. My old Samsung Plasma didn't have this issue. Has to be bad programming. The remote is cheesy to say the least. The TV would not allow me to enter a channel number and access it. At the end of the multiple step process to hit the tiny numbers key on the remote you must then hit enter on the ent key on the on-screen keypad. This failed every time, an obvious programming issue since the enter key on the remote worked fine for other actions. Yesterday when I turned on the TV it had no sound on any channel at any setting on the volume control. I turned the TV off and then on and the sound worked. This seemed like another computer chip or programming issue to me. Today the wifi connection stopped working though the on screen info says it is receiving a strong signal. This could be component or programming related as well. I troubleshot the wifi and it works well on my laptop, so I know its the TV. I called the Best Buy Store today and told them to come get this TV and I will get another after more research. I purchased this set because Sharp has a great picture, but the smart part of this thing is flat out stupid. The hassle of dealing with poor programming, poor ergonomics and common sense on the remote and the concern that if I am having these issues after less than two weeks use, has made me lose confidence in the product. There are other TVs with good quality pictures that are more reliable and I am going to look at all of them before repurchasing a smart 4D TV. Be careful when you purchase one of these new TVs with a computer chip in it. It can have the same kind of problems your computer experiences. Good Luck with being an early adopter. By the way the 4D Blue Ray systems are not due out till the end of the year, I am looking forward to having the same picture quality and definition you see in the showrooms.

This is our second aquos, the other is a 42" 8 year old 1080. I am extremely happy with the display of this tv. Did much research, and also discussed with a/v local pros that I know. Really believe I got the most bang for my buck, and we are blown away by the picture quality. I considered spending more for a comparable Sony, but am glad now that I saved the extra dough. I would buy this again.

Good TV for entry level large 4k

First 2 disclaimers: 1. 4K is still young yet, so yes content is limited. 2. Unfortunately the price for hard core TV's is higher now. With that said this is a great screen for $1500-$1700. Yes it does have some features that don't quite give as much functionality as they should, but I wouldn't say that detracts from it's main function. I forgot what was it's main function? Oh, yeah to display a moving image with as good quality and resolution as possible. I beg people to go research display and LCD technology before buying and then making negative claims about a product. Any mass produced product has the possibility for defects. My sympathies to those who have fallen victim, but you should also know the number of non-defective units that have gone out. I am not a major sports watcher. So, insanely high motion quality is not required by me and therefore this TV is perfect. The best way these days to get the most functionality out of any display is to connect a PC, which is what I have done. In reality cable is fading away to the take over of streaming media. I am in the process of dropping Comcast cable and just using streaming media like Amazon or Hulu. It's all there in other formats. And now with this wonderful 65" display, I can create word docs and emails from 10 feet a way on my couch. For the average user this display is the most economic and practical. Just don't expect it to do your laundry too. P.S. - My interpretation of the remotes being provided by manufacturers is 2 fold. 1. The quality and functionality of a remote reflects the TV it is paired with. Want a better remote, then pay more for your TV. 2. The wave of aftermarket universal remotes. Most people end up going to aftermarket universal remotes. It's almost a division of it's own. You can't expect a manufacturer to keep it's costs down and provide infinite functionality. So, why would they put thousands of RnD time and money into a remote that most likely will get left in the box it came in and never get used. Short and sweet good TV for the price.

Great picture but I don't understand why they would put so much money into a great tv picture and make a cheap, I mean cheap remote, if it hits the floor its over with.

I wasn't sure when I made that 65" tv purchase online. Just received it on Saturday morning and assembled and setup in 30 minutes. Two people required to do that because of size and weight of tv. Amazing product made by sharp. I am previous owner of sharp tv and have strong trust in sharp products. Remote is light weight and pretty easy to use. Picture quality is superb. Utterly loved it. It does have Miracast mirroring technology, you can cast your Android phone or Windows 10 screen on tv. Regular tv channels looks great on screen. It's only been few days, but I am sure I will enjoy that tv in future in same way. Don't hesitate to buy it.

Yeah the picture is great and all but it lacks a feature that most cheaper televisions have. Standard Blutooth connectivity. Instead you are forced to use the miracast app which works poorly. It's laggy and choppy so your only other alternative really is to regress to the old micro hdmi cable.

I ended up spending more than I wanted to on this TV, however I have an older 42 inch Sharp with a picture quality that still today impresses me! That said I expected nothing less on this 65 inch 4K panel. Unfortunately I am disappointed with the picture, the remote, and the fact it will not power off unless it is physically unplugged. There is a very high probability I will be returning it and going with the LG 60". Suffice it to say that at this price point I have high quality expectations and this panel so far has fallen short.
