    Good, but non-functional buttons

    Was excited to receive this new microwave. The built and the sturdiness of the Sharp Carousel seemed fine. Unfortunately, this unit had trouble straight out of the box. The buttons for the power level, and for numbers 7, 8, 9 did not work at all. Had tried troubleshooting, but no luck. Had to return due to these defects.

    Shuts down randomly, weird smell

    I guess I got a lemon, because after 3 weeks of normal use, it started turning off randomly--sometimes when heating something, and sometimes just because. And now I have to figure out how to get this back to the store during a quarantine, and decide whether I want to order another, or a different one.

    Died 30 minutes after being picked u

    Microwave died less than 30 minutes after being brought home. After a first run of 30 seconds the microwave emitted a burning smell. Looking into it this apparently isn't unusual for new microwaves. Proceeded to run the microwave 2 or 3 more times I noticed the top of the microwave was almost burning hot, the display lights were out, and the unit unresponsive.

    I bought this and had the confidence in it because it is a sharp brand, but that was a mistake.. The microwave wouldn’t cook popcorn on the popcorn settings. It would burn a hole in the bag and not even pop the kernels.Weird!!!!

    Purchased this microwave a little less than 2 months ago and it just gave out and stopped working. The numbers started flickering on its own and suddenly just shorted out or something. It wasn’t even being used at the time. I’m very upset especially because I can’t even get a refund now, will not ever purchase Sharp brand anything anymore.

    Big fan of Sharp Carousel microwave oven over the past decades, however, this one has a door problem that has to be closed a few times for it to work. Very disappointed. It is just a week old and this problem.

    Barely lasted a year. The microwave has stopped heating up. $100 a year is not going to cut it for a microwave that should last at least a couple. This is a sharp microwave too with a lot of history, but I guess that stops now with dependability and the life of sharp products

    I bought this 2 years ago and it died today. Outside case was very hot and electronic display was dead. I think it’s reasonable to expect more than two years from any product. Purchased a new microwave and it’s not from Sharp.

    I’ve only had it for not even 6 months and it’s making this grinding noise at least once or twice every time I use it. It sounds like it’s being electrocuted or something,. Thought it would be good based off of the brand but it hasn’t even been a full six months and it’s crapping the bed already

    Worked well at first, but overheats incredibly quickly. We’ve had this microwave for just over 1 year and it died today while I was microwaving something for 3 minutes. The last microwave we bought from Walmart for $40 lasted much longer than this (6 years)!

    DEAD after 1 month. Purchased this on 8/22/22 and it quit heating today, 9/23/22. I bought this brand because my last Sharp microwave operated flawlessly for 18 years. Do better, Sharp. I do not recommend this product.
