It is an okay machine. However I have been having trouble with it, one time it works perfect the next time I try to use it it does not turn on.

We had trouble getting this device to work consistently so we returned it to the store. After searching the net we found other devices which operated better and were priced about the same.

Worked well for a week then completing stopped working.

I did not find it to be as quiet during use as advertised but neither did I find it to be overly loud. It did work really well - providing some relief to muscles aching due to sciatica nerve pain. I did not use any of the massage attachments other than the one that came pre installed. The therapy gun comes with a really nice case to store the gun as well as all 5 of the massage attachments along with a USB-C recharging cable. The end opposite the massaging tip has a display to indicate the battery charge level and a touch sensitive on/off switch. Just press the red button until the perimeter is entirely lit then press the same red button once for each successively stronger power mode. Press the same red button and hold it for three seconds to turn the gun off. I did encounter several instances where the gun would not permit the selection of a power level and would revert to 0. Whenever that occurred, I would manually push the massage tip all the way in or pull it to the fully extended position without removing the tip. After doing that, gun would permit the selection of a power level and go to work. I have never owned a therapy gun before this so I can only compare it to one my physical therapist used on me a while back and it compared quite favorably although the handle grip could be a bit stickier to inspire more confidence while holding the gun. I'm not exactly sure how long a single charge lasts but it would be 3 or 4 hours of use.

I bought an excellent condition item. It came with no charging cable. Used a separate usb c cable to test and it wont charge. It has two open box stickers on it. The bag it comes with has a stain. I have no idea how this was able to get rated excellent.

It stopped working immediately after opening it. We could get it to run for maybe 20 seconds before it would just die.

The first one i bought was an open box that BB put back on the shelf. Didn't notice when i picked it up that the seal was broken. Get home, missing 2 attachments. Thank you BB and aggravation #1. Go back to the store, and they have 1 left and a sealed box GREAT! i get home, and it's DOA with the issue with the 1 second click and won't turn on after fully charged. At least i have all the useless attachments now, so maybe BB will put this back on the shelf drad for the next sucker. JUNK...

No longer charging. Charging Connector stopped working 60 days after purchase. Too late to return, and no Warranty offered from the manufacturer. If sharper image offers no warranty, this will be the last Sharper Image product I buy.

Disappointed, brought back for refund, too heavy and too difficult to use.

Bought it over an hour ago brand new and let it fully charge and it will not work. For being unopened the carrying case had visible stains on it…. Definitely getting my money back.

I waited hours for this device to fully charge up and it’ll power on but then start tapping to change the speeds, it’ll do a bump bump then reset back to 00. Doesn’t work.

Like many people mentioned, after pressing the power button, it shakes for 1 second and stops. I took it out of the box and fully charged it. Once it was done charging, I tried to turn it on and it shook once and stopped. Best Buy offered no help and the website for Merchsource never got back to me after 2 weeks. Trying to find a way to get my money back.

Failed after 10 days. Will not turn off. Screen is un responsive.

Didn’t work out of the box, bought in real life for a reputable brand versus no-name brands on Amazon and got a DOA item. Like many reviews said, it gives one quiet clunk and that’s it. (I thought I would get lucky and mine would work, but no).

The Sharper Image Powerboost Deep Tissue Massager will thump that soreness out of your muscles. With different attachments, it's built to handle all of your sore spots. It's extremely powerful, where even its slowest speed won't grind to a halt as you power out those knots in even your thickest muscles. The only real disappointment is that it doesn't come with a USB-C charger - while it can charge with a USB-A style charger, even using a USB-A 12-watt charge brick won't charge this very quickly, where a 20-watt USB-C charger will. Before usage, make sure you charge this device completely. While it will power on, you risk damaging the battery, depending on how discharged it is. Charing using a 20 watt USB-C charger didn't take too long to get it full. To change tools, you'll want to twist as you remove the tool head. I don't know if it's a design issue or just my unit, but I found this a little finicky on the starting position of the tool. I've had this issue with nearly every percussive massager I've ever used though, no matter the brand. Usage is straightforward. Press and hold on the power button to turn the unit on and off, press the power button to flip between standby and one of 7 speeds; the higher the speed, the harder the percussive thumps are. As for the tools, I'm a fan of the foam ball and the air cushion heads. Now is this for everyone? Probably not. My wife has fibromyalgia and didn't enjoy this massager at all. My 12-year-old enjoyed that it made him have a robot voice but was over-sensitized after a few minutes of on-and-off use. Just because I had a positive experience with it personally doesn't mean that you will. I'm a fan of it, but that doesn't mean you will be. I would give it 5 stars but this should come with a USB-C to C cable and USB-C charge brick instead of the USB-A cable.

The device is fully charged but doesn't want to vibrate. Only used a few times in 2 months. Look elsewhere, this is junk.

Only used product twice and it won't turn on again. When I turn it on, no matter the level, it does like a heart beat pulse twice then goes back to zero. Battery fully charged too. Junk product.
