Budget Home Steam Sauna Experience

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Summary: Delivers a home sauna experience on a budget. Fairly easy to put up but as would be expected for the price does has some quirks like the small, included chair. The large zipper door does leak some steam so requires time to build back up when getting in it.
Pros:
- Generates enough steam to be effective.
- Complete (just add distilled water), easy to use with a good timer system.
- Can be used with liquid scents.
A Matter of Taste:
- The included fold up chair is small.
- The construction is not state of the art folding tent style and requires care in putting together (the tent fabric fits very tight).
- Limited timer, probably good for safety reasons
- If you are claustrophobic in a closet, you will find the 33"x33" square and is 66" tall size to be tight.
- No interior light, just a small plastic window.
Cons:
- Set up takes 20 minutes, so not practical to take apart often as the name ‘portable’ implies.
- Short power cord, you will likely need an extension cord.
More words: I am old enough to remember when Sharper Image was a brick-and-mortar store with fun, almost futuristic home experience items such as foot massagers, plant lights, and personal fans. It was a great place to shop for fun quirky, if not always practical, gifts. Bad times led to bankruptcy and Sharper Image has been revived as a brand to sell at other stores. I was happy to see that the Steamer Sauna Portable Spa carries on in the same tradition of fun for the home experience.
Having said that, the Sauna Spa should be viewed for the budge price you pay for it, which is less than the price of many Spa stays. It is essentially a small tent with a steamer unit. The tent is a system of plastic poles that do not spring into place like most modern tents (that cost a lot more) but do fit together reasonably well. The structure is light and feels fragile but gets the job done. The fabric fits tight over it, it is hard to get on, and you do need to be careful lest you break something, but the tightness lends to the structural integrity, making the whole thing stronger. After that it is an easy matter of hooking up the steamer and distribution system. For me the downside was the small folding chair that comes with it. It felt more like squatting than sitting and for me an average sized man, not the most comfortable. Think of those folding chairs you take to your kid’s soccer games, it was like that, but child sized. Cute. I replaced that with a larger plastic outside chair with no problem.
The steamer comes with two settings you can change, intensity and time, but the reality is you will set it to the highest heat (9) and time (30 minutes) to get an effective experience. With that I would let it heat up for 10 or so minutes, get in through the zipper doors, wait a few minutes for the steam to build back up, and thus get a 15-minute sauna. Which was enough for the confined space feel, and did do a reasonable job of opening my pores and making me feel relaxed.
A couple of other observations, the power cord is short. You will likely want an extension cord for flexibility of placement. The designers threaded a needle with wanting it to be large enough to use, but small enough to put in a room. Assembly effort and time was enough (20 minutes) that I didn’t want to assemble for every use. It should be used with distilled water to not get mineral build up. It can be used with liquid scents which really does add to the experience.
Having said all that, if you are looking for a full long-term replacement for a real Spa Sauna experience you should consider spending a lot more money. For me it was perfect as a surprise gift experience for my wife. As it is portable, I set it up for the first time on the covered deck of our wood cabin (in the woods, overlooking a bay), and it really was fun and made her feel more connected to the surroundings. Very relaxing, and it made her understand why I wanted to build a Finnish style sauna there.
With all those caveats and dialed in expectations, I can easily give this 4 stars.

Amazing Relaxation at Home

I recently got this Portable Steam Sauna, and it has been a fantastic addition to my wellness routine. This is an economy approach to the idea of getting a sauna. If your goal is to get something that will give you the effect of a sauna at a very low price point, you will like it. Here are some of the highlights of my experience:
Setup and Portability: The unit comes in a kit with poles that quickly assemble into a frame. The "sauna" is a clever, well made, fully zippered arrangement of quilted fabric that pulls snugly over the frame. The setup was straightforward and took me about 15-20 minutes. The sauna is lightweight and easy to move around, which is great because I can use it in different rooms without any hassle. I've put it up in my master bathroom and used it there more than any other room. When not in use, it folds up compactly for storage.
How it works: There is a little water boiler supplied in the kit. You fill the boiler, and connect a plastic hose into a fitting that introduces steam into your sauna "tent." If you fill the boiler with hot water, you'll be able to start producing steam fairly quickly. Then, you climb in, sit down, zip yourself in, and wait until it gets steamy and hot enough to pop a sweat. The boiler holds enough water to let you steam away for 30 mins at the highest heat setting.
Design and Comfort: The design is well thought out. It is smaller in size but has enough space for one person to sit comfortably. The material feels durable and of high quality. The steam generator works efficiently, providing a consistent and soothing steam flow. I also appreciate the hand zippers, which allow me to read or use my phone while relaxing inside. The included folding chair is comfortable and can withstand weight up to 200 lbs, and the footpad heater is a nice touch for added. The included 2.4L steam generator produces a generous flow of steam, enhancing circulation, rejuvenating skin, and reducing stress. Its steam diffuser evenly distributes warmth, creating a consistently soothing environment.
Performance: This portable sauna heats up quickly, and the steam is perfectly hot to induce a good sweat session. I've been using this 3 times a week for 20-30 min past few weeks, and it leaves me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The benefits are noticeable - my skin feels clearer, and my muscles are more relaxed. It's not as powerful as my gym's sauna which is to be expected but it gets the job done. If you are expecting it to get to 200 degrees then no, it doesn't do that. But for daily and specifically apartment use it its perfect ~120 degrees. The steam is endless (you literally walk out dripping) and it heats up in 10-15 mins and can last for long relaxation. My skin looks and feels so much better. I’m actually getting restful sleep. I do my stretches and massages in it while my muscles are warm and relaxed. It helps clear my mind. Can’t bring my phone in with me so it forces me to unplug and focus on myself and breathing. It has several different levels of heat so if some days I want to spend more time in there, I lower the heat, if some days I don’t have as much time, I crank it up and try to get max benefits with what little time I have.
Value for Money: Considering the convenience and health benefits, this portable steam sauna is worth every penny. It’s a cost-effective alternative to expensive spa visits, and I get to enjoy the sauna experience from the comfort of my home. Overall, I highly recommend this Portable Steam Sauna for anyone looking to enhance their wellness routine with the benefits of steam therapy. It's a fantastic product that delivers on its promises!

Portable, powerful sauna on-the-go

Bringing the peaceful, therapeutic environment of the sauna experience to your home or on the go, Sharper Image’s Steamer Sauna boasts easy setup, minimal space, and maximum relaxation. This portable standing spa provides peace of mind in form and function and is designed for comfort and simplicity.
You don’t need to be a master builder to erect the Sharper Image Steamer Sauna. With no tools needed and a set of easy-to-follow instructions provided, building the frame is quick and clear-cut. After, it’s simply a case of following the steps to wrap the outer covering over the frame, zipping it all together, and connecting a couple of short tubes to the steam diffuser inside the sauna and the steamer on the outside. What’s more surprising than the construction ease is the interior space once the sauna is standing. Big or small, you have plenty of room inside to sit or stand for a relaxing steam.
Once constructed and plugged into a nearby outlet, use the provided water pitcher to fill the steamer, set the timer and steam level, and it’s pretty much ready to go. It takes around 10-15 minutes for the room to warm up, depending on your steam level. The Steamer Sauna comes with a folding chair for a relaxing sit and a floor-covering footpad that has markings where to optimally place the diffuser.
The experience is exactly how I wanted it - dark, quiet, extremely humid. There is a small, circular window that you can use to view the outside while in a standing position, but I prefer sitting and relaxing. The sauna fabric is fairly thick and keeps the temperature and steam level exactly where I need it to be. I didn’t feel much lost heat or steam with the steamer running and having to unzip the door sporadically to leave and return. The product recommends no more than 15 minute intervals for beginners, but even at such a small amount of time, you can really get in a good steam and feel the benefits in your body after a long work day or after a workout. The ability to get the “spa feel” after a few minutes of set up and start up really adds value to an already awesome product. The only real issue I have with the product comes with the hose and cord lengths. The inner hose would sometimes get jostled or pulled outwards by an outside disturbance - foot traffic usually - which caused the diffuser to spill a little hot water. Concurrently, the outer hose is pretty short as well, so finding the perfect position for the steamer is essential, especially since the power cord isn't very long either.
Overall, the simple setup, quick start up, and ease of use makes the Sharper Image Steamer Sauna a no-brainer. Being able to build it up and store it away effortlessly makes it easy to recommend.

A great in-home sauna option!

After owning one of those sauna blankets and having decent success with it, I felt this was an appropriate upgrade to make. I was looking for an affordable and space-friendly option that was still good quality and I think this Sharper Image model delivered!
The initial setup for this was pretty painless! I think it took me about 20-25 minutes overall. This sauna seems portable enough. It's lightweight and I assume its just as easy to disassemble. I think it just depends on if you want to allot 20ish minutes to set it up each time you want to use it, if you chose to disassemble it. I have mine in my basement currently so I don't have to worry about any of that.
As for the actual setting it up to use, it takes about 15 minutes to heat up after filling the steamer with water before you should get in it. Once you step inside and zip yourself up, you start sweating pretty quickly. Or at least I did. I will say, as a 130 lb 5'5" woman, the overall space and chair were a little small even for me. The chair is the biggest downfall of this whole thing. For me personally, I can suck it up for the 15 minutes you're recommended to stay in there for, but for anything longer or anyone larger they might be a bit uncomfortable. And this space definitely isn't meant for someone with claustrophobia. After I did the maximum 15 minutes, I got out feeling pretty great and very sweaty. I believe I used the steamer on the highest setting, but I do appreciate that there are various levels you adjust it too depending on your wants/needs.
Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this sauna so far. I workout a lot and have some chronic pain issues and am always looking for ways to relax my muscles, detox and decompress a bit! I think I'll get some essential oils to try with it for that extra zen feeling. Super excited to have this upgrade from my sauna blanket!

I was surprised at how well it actually worked

My first impression was, unfortunately, negative. No instructions anywhere. Nada. So every time I started trying to get the frame to fit in what seemed to be the only possible way to use the combination of short and long poles, it seemed to be wrong. The longer poles can really only go along the outer edges of the bottom and top - and form the top and bottom frame of the rectangle, and the 12 shorter poles attach three long for the vertical at each corner. But my unit did not quite fit right. Despite pushing the corner pieces fully onto each pole, it was just a bit too long to fit right in the bottom and top. So I had one corner in each that was just pulled way out of shape since it wouldn't pull over the frame fully. That left me with about twelve inches of a gap in the zipper where I couldn't close it, and I was afraid to try to force it that hard since it was likely to break the zipper or rip the seam. I gave it way more force than I felt comfortable juts getting it as far as I did. So I figured I would give it time to stretch a bit and then try again, and after a few hours, I was finally able to zip it shut without serious effort. And as I used it a few times, it all seemed to fit better.
The chair is tiny, so going to be pretty useless for someone like me who is over 6 feet tall. But for my testing, I DID sit in it, and it held up fine.
I'm in Wisconsin and this morning it was in the mid 40's outside. I don't want all the steam raising my humidity levels in the house, I keep them low since that's where I prefer it. I have expensive things stored in the basement that is also humidity controlled, so I don't want it down there. I initially figured I'd use it in the garage, but the temps outside are preventing that, so I set it up in the master bathroom figuring it's used to handling steam and I can kick in the exhaust fan and keep the door closed till things dry out afterwards.
But it's really awkward in there. So plan accordingly. And as it's too wide to fit through most indoor door frames (which are usually only 32 inches wide for interior doors). So where you put it, you'll keep it until you want to break it down at least partially to move it.
I had to get with support to get directions, but I was very happy to get them emailed in less than an hour and a half. And that gave me details for how to fill it and set things accordingly as well as the warnings.
Now, I wasn't really expecting much from this. I did as instructed, set steam to 9 (the highest setting) and gave it 10 or 12 minutes to get to temp and fill and heat the chamber. When I unzipped the door to step in, I was blown away at how much steam was in there already, and the temps. I'll need to buy a small thermometer I can keep inside to monitor that during future use.
Steam generator has a min and max fill line, so it's easy to do. They want distilled water, but I didn't have any available for testing, so I just used filtered water.
In addition to the steam unit, there are two rubber hoses, and the steam emitter for inside. Steamer connects to the external port on the enclosure with one hose, and the emitter connects with the other rubber hose to the inner port. Very simple.
But the steam generator's power cord is ridiculously short. I had to get an extension cord just to get it to reach any outlet. I don't know if they assume people will put this right up against the wall in their rooms to plug into the outlet on the wall or what. I couldn't even use it in my basement had I wanted to, without an extension cord as the outlets there are part way up the wall like most basements.
I got inside, and heard more noise from my nice Broan exhaust fan I had going in the bathroom than I heard from the unit. It makes some noise, but nothing at any level that's even annoying.
It didn't take long for it to get the inside back up to temp and moisture levels after I zipped the door shut.
And it felt glorious. It has been more than 30 years since I've sat in a steam room, and I forgot just how peaceful and relaxing it can be. The only downside for me was the chair, but I've already got a normal sized shower chair on order that I'll use in here instead.
Size-wise inside it was fine. As I said, I'm a big and tall guy, and even squatted down on that tiny chair, I had room around me so I wasn't bumping the walls anywhere.
The entire time I sat there I was amazed at just how well this actually worked, despite my doubts initially. When I got out, I checked the water level. I had filled it with the pitcher they include, filling the pitcher twice, not quite full. The total water added came up to a little below the max fill line so it was fine. After 12 or so minutes to get up to steam and heat up, and 10 or so minutes for my first session, it did not go down nearly as much as I figured, despite having left the steam setting on 9. From what I could see it would've given me probably an hour or more before it hit the point where it would've needed more water. And that's more than I'd likely ever need. I love the steam, but 10 or 15 minutes and I'm ready for a break.
The steam unit does have built in protection, so if you unintentionally let it run too long and water level is depleted, it will turn off and sound a beep and show an error code.
Construction seems solid. And once it got stretched out some on the frame, the zipper was much easier to open and close.
If you're looking for a small sauna that you can move around, disassemble if needed, and easily store, this definitely will fill all those needs. And for the price, for me, it's absolutely worth it. I'm really going to enjoy having this.

At-home / portable steam therapy

This is a decent at-home steamer sauna for those with minimal space or preference for portability. After the initial setup took about 10 minutes to make sure everything was put together properly, future builds should be much quicker. The steamer system has the barebones ‘time’ and ‘steam level’ settings, which is basically all you need for a quick sauna session. Once you set a time and steam level (example: 15 minutes, steam level 7), it did seem to take quite a bit of time to get the steam started. This is something to keep in mind if you were expecting to just jump right in on a session. Seeing as it is not the most expensive at-home pop up sauna, don’t expect the top of the line build. I urge gentleness as you build the sauna and maneuver the zippers as to not tear the materials. For those that may be on the taller/wider side, it might feel claustrophobic as it is meant to take up minimum floor space. Otherwise, the sauna works as advertised. It generates a nice hot steam and opens and clears the nostrils. Overall, for anyone in the market for a low budget and decent home sauna, this is it.

Shaper Image Has Hit A Home Run!

With Winter coming on along with the often frigid weather, I was looking forward to getting the Sharper Image Steamer Sauna Portable Spa. There’s nothing like a good hot shower when its cold outside, so I knew the portable spa would be more than welcome on those cold days.
As I unpacked the shipping box, the first thing I took note of was that I did not see the usual literature that comes with most products. I figured it must be at the bottom of the box rather than at the top. However, as I took the last part out, there were no assembly instructions, no user manual, or anything else. Anyone who knows me also knows that I am the world’s worst at being able to figure out how some things go together, and as I looked at the mass of tubes and corner connectors laying there on the floor, I felt a bit of panic begin to rise up. There are eight longer tubes roughly 31.5’ long, and twelve shorter tubes, each measuring about 21”. “So, just how hard can this be?” I thought to myself. It wasn’t long until I went to the computer and began looking up videos. After watching a couple of videos, I realized where I had gone wrong, went back and started over. Before long I had the framework assembled, and placed inside the cloth sauna compartment. All that was really left to do was to hook up the steamer and diffuser.
As I opened up the steamer to add water, there staring me dead in the face were the assembly instructions and user manual. I couldn’t help but laugh at myself. Just to make sure I had done everything correctly, I read through the manual and assembly instructions. The one bit of advice in the manual I hadn’t really considered was to make sure the sauna was placed in a waterproof location, just in case of leakage. It’s light enough to be truly portable, so I moved it into the kitchen, and finished setting it up there. After everything was put together, it was time to try it out.
Sharper Image includes a cloth mat upon which the placement of the chair and diffuser are illustrated. According to the instructions, after filling the steamer with water, using the included pitcher. Before using it, it is recommended to let the steamer warm up for 15 minutes before stepping inside. So while I was waiting for it to warm up, I went and changed into a pair of shorts.
After 15 minutes had passed, I stepped inside the sauna and zipped myself in. The steamer reportedly reaches a maximum temperature of 122 degrees. This seemed to be just about perfect. I sat down on the chair and let the steam do its thing. I have been in some saunas where it was quite uncomfortable taking deep breaths because the steam was so hot. But again, this is not the case with the Sharper Image. I began slowly breathing in the steam through my nose. In a few short minutes I felt my sinuses becoming clearer. I have to say it works wonders for opening up the passageways and cleaning out the dust and pollen. I had the steamer set to maximum steam, so it wasn’t long before I was quite saturated, and rather warm. I could feel my muscles releasing tension. A few minutes later I felt almost like a limp rag. It was wonderful. Because this was my first time in several years to be in a sauna, I chose to limit myself to the recommended 15 minutes. I then got out and took a shower.
TAKEAWAY:
I have to say I am quite impressed with the Sharper Image Steamer Sauna! The fabric sauna cover is actually well insulated, so there was really no real heating up of the rest of the room, and no leakage of steam, which I was a bit concerned about. I really can’t be upset about not finding the manual until after I had already assembled the sauna because it was my fault I didn’t look through everything at the beginning. The included chair? I’m not a big person by any means, but I found the folding cloth camping-style chair to be way to small for even me. From now on I will be using one that is bigger and more comfortable. For taller people or heavier people, I just don’t think the chair will work well. Although the sauna is “portable,” meaning you can assemble and reassemble it when you want to put it in a different location, the plastic tubing doesn’t appear strong enough to endure more than a few disassemblies before it begins to crack and break. I suppose this could be alleviated by perhaps using vaseline to lubricate where the tubing is inserted, and in fact, this is what I will be doing myself. Because it is only me, I don’t know how well the unit will hold up if it is being used by multiple people. The steamer seems to be well made, but like I said, I just don’t know how well it will hold up with a lot of use.
When it is all said and done, I believe the Sharper Image portable steamer spa is a great investment, and will make a wonderful addition to your wellness program. It’s relatively inexpensive, seems to be constructed out of quality materials (other than the plastic tubing), and offers a genuine sauna experience. I know I will be recommending this to my family and friends.

Basic, but convenient. Rejuvenating!

The air gets so dry in the Autumn, and subsequent Winter, that you feel the effects on your skin and respiratory system. But you also feel the effects of the colder weather in your extremities. The Steam Sauna by Sharper Image is just the sort of convenient remedy you need this winter. It gives you a potent steam room with a very basic setup that's both inexpensive and portable.
Assembly was pretty systematic, long tubes form the base and fit into the bottom of the unzipped shell quite snugly. Short tubes form the vertical frame and tie into the top, then the shell gets wrapped around, zipped up, and you're done. All that's left is the steam generator and diffuser, connect the hoses and place the diffuser in the diagram on the foot pad. They give you a sturdy mesh stool that sits low, making the canopy feel a little bigger since it's only 5'5" tall.
I'll admit, it felt kind of flimsy at first glance, but after I put it together and tested it, I realized this is all you really need. Unlike dry saunas that cost much more and involve far more time to set up, not much planning is required for this steam sauna, it's easily moveable and breaks down easily for storage in the spring. The steam generator, if filled to the max (2 pitchers of water), provides enough steam for 30min, the ideal 15 minutes of preheat and 15-minute session. The generator has 9 power levels and an adjustable 30-minute timer so you can tailor the session to your needs. For my first session, I kept it at level 9 and in 15 minutes, I unzipped the door to steam bellowing out. Inside felt roomy enough that my knees didn't touch the sides and at 6'5", that's saying something. Toward the end of the 15-minute session, the level of steam became almost too much to endure, then the bell rang, and I was done. After I washed up, I no longer felt cold that evening, likely due to the increased circulation caused by the steam.
Placement is important due to the steam released and potential for dampness. A concrete floor or tile floor with reasonable ventilation should be considered. I would suggest putting it somewhere you would find easy to access and use. I have it in an enclosed 3 season porch with tile floor where I envision using it often, with winter fast approaching.

Great portable sauna!

The Sharper Image Steamer Sauna is a great and extremely portable sauna that fills fairly quick with steam and does an excellent job of containing all of the steam. This makes it a great choice for anyone looking for a sauna for their household that can be easily assembled, disassembled, and moved anywhere that you prefer or need.
Included is a collapsible chair that allows you to comfortably sit while inside of the sauna, while I am not sure what the exact weight rating is for this chair I can tell you that I weigh about 275 and I had no feeling of instability on this chair.
The steam takes approximately 15 minutes to fully fill the portable sauna, this really depends on the ambient temperature. For something this portable I feel like that is extremely impressive, the steam fully saturates the sauna and I could not find any points where it was leaking out of the exterior. I am impressed with the build quality and portability of this sauna and would absolutely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a sauna for exercise or health benefits.

Who would've ever thought we'd have a sauna in the comfort of our own home!! Well, Sharper Image made that a reality and we got a chance to give it a try.
We recently made the move to a bigger home. So, we decided to give the Sharper Image Steamer Sauna Portable Spa a try. I have to say, I am really impressed at how this portable sauna has been working, and my wife is loving it.
It comes with everything you need to get it started...including the chair!! I was a bit skeptical about how sturdy the enclosure was, but the frame really holds it up well. Setup can take a little longer than expected, but it really is easy to setup. Pop up the frame, zip up the enclosure, fill the steamer with water, and you will be up and going in no-time.
My wife broke the Sharper Image Steamer Sauna Portable Spa in first. She really found it enjoying an relaxing. I went in next and have also enjoyed it. I have been using this thing after work almost on a daily basis. We'll see if all of the benefits really kick in soon.

Hard to put together

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Like my title says and one of a few reasons why I am only giving this 2 stars. This was hard to put together. I thought I put it together wrong because of this. First part was fairly easy with just putting the base together with the poles. But once that was together it was difficult putting the outer piece on. This was because the material was the exact size as the poles were. They should have maybe had the longer poles a 1/4-1/2 inch less in size. This would then have given a 1/2 to 1 inch of wiggle room. Once I was able to finally get the bottom part together, the next challenge was getting the piece up and over the base. Again, due to being the exact size, it was a stretch to get it over and then trying to zip it.
I just was not impressed having to put this together, especially for something with Portable in its name. Taking it down after it was put up and used was a lot easier and seems to have stretched out a tad bit to give it that extra wiggle room. However, the poles are not the easiest to take apart and this did not come with any kind of storage bag other than the box it came in. Again, for being portable, I felt it should have had a bag.
I also personally would have liked to maybe see it with a more rectangle shape over the square. This would allow maybe a little more leg room. If you are tall, it might be a bit cramped.
Lastly the chair. Only a 200lb limit. I was able to sit down in it but I am over that so I would imagine it won't last as long. I am 240lbs. I feel they should have provided a better chair that at least holds 250 maybe up to 275lbs. This also goes back to maybe a rectangle shape to allow a little more room so you might be able to put in a better chair. You can fit a slightly bigger chair, but it would be nice to get a little more room then.
But with that, it did work decent. The timer is max 30 min which is perfect. You need to let it warm up so I would set it to the highest setting (9), let it warm up for 15 min. and then hop in with about 15 min left on the timer. When it would go off, it was 15 min then. It was not to bad even on the 9 setting. I was able to sit in it comfortably with no issues at that. It helped my body feel much better after. You will come out moist lol.
You can add some scents if you want. If it was for the issue setting it up being so tight, I would have given this 4 stars as the chair with the low limit and not really being that portable. I thought it would be great for an apartment and a lot easier to set up and take down as needed. But that seemed to not have been the case.
I would only recommend this if you plan to leave it set up. And if you are bigger, I would suggest a slightly bigger chair than as well.

The Sharper Image Portable Steamer Sauna and Spa is a fantastic concept, and I am excited for what the future holds. I get out of this tent feeling just as good as I do when I hit the sauna at the gym! Daily use of this tent is definitely very convenient and easy, and I love having it in my home. There are some trade offs, but I think they are worth it for the absolute ease of jumping in this without having to leave the house.
Setup: The setup is a little complicated, and the instructions are very minimal. It's enough to figure it out, and once you do it's a great little Sauna to have at home.
Materials: The overall build quality of the tent is one of the main reasons I did not give this five stars on the review. The durability of the material and the zippers just isn't there, but for the price of the unit I believe it is still a really good deal.
Ergonomics: This unit is definitely not designed for a big 6 foot tall guy like myself, I can make it work but it is not super comfortable. If this was about 20% larger, or if they had an XL version I think that would be a better size for larger people.
Overall this does a great job of filling the void of not having a sauna in my home. If you can live with some of the minor inconveniences, then the overwhelming convenience of having a sauna in your home for a very low cost is totally worth it.

I quickly recognized that cleaning would be an issue and I was concerned how long it would last. Two of my children are high school and ollege athletes. It just did not look and feel like a heavy duty product.
