Shenmue III - PlayStation 4. Great game for a great price.

Shenmue is an interesting series. Its like playing through a kung fu movie and it feels great

Fans waited a long time for this game to be released. I’m glad we finally got it.

Its a good game, what I expected and more for the continuation of the series.

Played Shenmue 1 on Dreamcast and then Shenmue 2 on Xbox. I loved the games and love that training, fighting, and minigames. I wished for a part 3 and my wish came true. This is better looking and playing game than Shenmue 1 and 2. There are herbs and fighting styles that you can learn thorough different kung fu teachers. I love that it still has the retro gaming feel too. So happy right now that i feel like a kid in candy shop... Go buy it if you are fan if not play the old ones as retro games and jump into this new one and you will enjoy and see the fun.

Shenmue returns with a 3rd installment demanded and funded by fans. So cool that Best Buy distributed this amazing 3rd entry in a legendary series.

Shenmue 3 is a phenomenal game. 18 years in the making! I would highly recommend buying this as well as the Shenmue 1 & 2 HD collection also on PS4.

I’m really glad to continue Ryo story and explore this awesome world. The game feels like a old Dreamcast game and that’s a good thing in my eyes.

I love quirky, janky games. Shenmue 3 is that. Well, all the Shenmue games are that, which is why I find them so enjoyable. Shenmue 3 builds off of the games that preceeded it, so you'll run around and chase down leads to reach your goals. They've expanded your choices of mini games, added fishing, and wood splitting. The locales you will visit are vibrant with activity and beautiful environments to explore. The dialouge is hilarious, but if you've played any other Shenmue game, it's expected.

The way this game feels compared to shenmue 1 and 2 is similar in a good way, it brings back nostalgia and its so much fun and time consuming.

If you played Shenmue 1 or 2 and you enjoyed it, well this game is more of that.

I've been a fan of this series since the Dreamcast days. Upon booting and playing this game for the first few hours felt like bliss! Everything from the music to the exploration and chatting with locals felt very reminiscent of the original Dreamcast games. Now that I've put in over 20 hours the nostalgia seems to have worn off a bit. I can now open minded see this game for what it is flaws and all. Even though I accept these flaws. Let me cut to the chase. This game isn't for everyone though. It's a very slow paces game that includes a lot of what's to be considered "fetch quest" (go find this item and take it to this person). It's done so much to the point where it's a slow grind. And I think that it artificially makes the game play longer than it needs to be. There are some performance issues as well. I see constant frame drops, and the lip synching is terrible just as it was on the Dreamcast games. While the graphics and color choices do look nice, this game doesn't feel like a 2019 game. As a fan, I do enjoy the series but this game could have been so much better.
