The telling of the story was drawn out way past the point of being able to convey a good story. Way too much time was wasted on non action and a look into the evils of bureaucracy.

Was hoping that this would be better. Interesting take on the Godzilla story but was kinda slow and I found myself being easily distracted throughout the movie

As a fan of the classic Godzilla movies and even some of the more recent Godzilla movies this movie did not even come close to any of those

A good hour and a half is devoted to politics and the inefficiency of the japanese government. Too much talk and not enough action.

A regrettable blind purchase made on a few positive reviews. Fell asleep during 2 separate viewings. Really finding the US Godzilla a modern classic in comparison. Godzilla was freakish and it was mostly a montage of beauracracy.... literally. Giving serious thought to taking it out back and using it for target practice with my pellet gun. Then bleaching my eyes. HD improves a lot of things, but not everything.

An origin story about Godzilla. Still not sure if it made much sense based on all the other good Godzilla movies out there.

I've been a Godzilla fan all my life. When I was younger I even started to learn Japanese to watch the original as it was meant to be seen. So I feel confident in saying that this is the second worst Godzilla movie I have ever seen. Matthew Broderick still has the honor of number 1. They need to make a Broderick meets Godzilla clip that ends the same way Bambi's did.

Not what I expected, it okay if this was 1970. I wanted something better as a response the American version.

A very weak story of Godzilla. It is so slow and just does not move.

Rent or borrow, the discs got nothin on it except a one time watch imho.

If the graphics were better the movie could of been good.

I bought this because I love godzilla but this movie really sucks

This remake was so dumb should of stop with the first one.

I am glad I picked up Shin Godzilla. I am a fan of the old Toho Production Godzilla films and was sad when they were not going to make any more. When the Americas took over and made the two Godzilla movies in 2000 and 2014 it did not have the true Godzilla feel. The 2014 version came closer but not true to the original Toho Productions. I am glad that Toho Productions decided to make Shin Godzilla which is a reboot of Gojira. I saw some of the reviews and one of them said this was a new look for Godzilla, actually this the original look of Godzilla but with a few tweaks. The visuals for this movie was fantastic and the English dubbing was matched pretty well. This movie has been added to my original Godzilla collection. Can’t wait for more sequels in the future. So if you are a Godzilla fan, go out and pick up a copy of this movie and grab a few extras for your close friends, that is what I did the rest of them I highly recommend this movie.

This movie keeps you interested from beginning to end. Godzilla's design is very different this time around and It looks Fantastic

So glad I was able to see this in theaters. Another great addition to my Godzilla collection.
