While the game still has some of the flaws present in it's original release, its fantastic seeing the work done to bring this classic to more modern standards. If you're a JRPG fan, you should definitely be giving this title a look.

Stellar game for its time even great to this day, ported over to the switch. My only complaint is that the cutscenes are still in the older aspect ratio. Other than that this is one of the best JRPGS ever on the Switch.

Great remaster. Excellent gameplay. The interface and combat indicators aren’t on par with SmtV, but it’s an older game so I understand.

I am so glad this game got a HD Remaster. I had a blast playing it waaaaay back during the PS2 days and it still holds up. If you are a fan of JRPGs pick it up! Cool art style and has that awesome PS2 era JRPG feel! The entire Shin Megami Tensei line of games are worth playing. If you enjoy this check out the mainline series and also the other ones such as Digital Devil Saga!

An excellent game with a pretty good port. The only knock I could give this port is that some of the FMV cutscenes are still in their original aspect ratio, and some of the songs are still their original compressed versions. Besides that, it's great to be able to play one of the best JRPGS ever on the Switch. I see myself replaying this a whole lot in the future.

The game itself is really good—as a remaster not as much. If you are interested in getting into the SMT series, start with 4 or wait for 5. This game really should only be played by veterans of the series as it might turn away people wanting to give the series a go. Be prepared to use a walkthrough for sure.

Great remaster of a classic SMT game. With some quality of life improvements to make the difficulty a little less brutal than it was back in the day for those who want to appreciate the story rather than the constant random battles. (in the original you could hardly go a few steps without a random battle)

I have never played a Shin Megami Tensei game before. Just the first hour on this game was enough to suck me in. This game is great and to us older gamers it brings back PS2-era nostalgia. (It IS a PS2 game remastered after all.) At 20 bucks it's a no brainer for RPG fans.

Great game. Not so great remaster. The game looks great in HD. The music unfortunately was not improved and is very compressed.

It feels great to revisit this classic JRPG from Atlus! The atmosphere is just oozing with dread and hopelessness and it’s perfectly combined with the soundtrack. It can be somewhat difficult for new players, but you can lower the difficulty.

I never did finish this on the original PS2, but being able to play it on portable helped me finish it. Its actually my favorite SMT game, like the humor, story, music and atmosphere. The game has also been updated to let you choose abilities when fusing demons.

Enjoying this game much more than I was expecting... This was the only SMT game I had never played... Glad to finally have a chance to get through it... VERY difficult game though... I would say as tough as Digital Devil Saga and Strange Journey... At least to me...

SMT3 is a classic and to finally have it portable is amazing. Just know going in that some accessibility options are free DLC (Not on the cart). Once you know that, anyone can experience this masterpiece of JRPG goodness.

This game is great and it the HD version looks amazing on the nintendo switch. it looks way better than its predocessor spelled that wrong lol. smt v is a bit blurry for my tastes but you dont have that problem with this game. definitely reccomend.

definite recommend for fans of SMT and Persona! Wish the Maniax were included in the package though.
