One of the most comfortable workout headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: * Comfort (these are truly the most comfortable, lightweight headphones that I've used) * Battery life (around 50 hours, give or take) * Water resistant * Capable app and EQ SO SO: * Sound can be better (but limited for the type of buds these are) * Price ($200 for one of the best workout buds you can buy) CONS: * I wish they had ANC for music, but again, it's hard for this type of around the ear buds that don't actually insert into your ear canal) I've been a devoted fan of earbuds for as long as I can remember, trying out virtually every pair on the market, from budget-friendly options to high-end models that appeal to audiophiles. Lately, I've been using the Noble Fokus Rex5 for my music needs. However, I recently encountered a few issues while running; they tend to slip out and risk hitting the ground. Luckily, I've managed to avoid scratching them so far, but it's been a close call. That's when I stumbled upon the Shokz OpenFit 2+. These arrived just in time! They fit securely over the ear and don't go into the ear canal, making them more comfortable than any other earbuds I've tried. Plus, they're incredibly lightweight—I hardly notice them. They deliver impressive sound quality while prioritizing comfort and safety, allowing me to fully enjoy my runs without any worries. I don't have any experience with Shokz's previous Openfit generation, but reviews for those criticize the sound. It's tough to expect them to sound the same as "in-ear buds", but even with that known, it seems that the previous generation lacked in the sound department. To my surprise, these sound great. I was very surprised by the sound, especially coming from the Nobles. Some may think Dolby Audio is a gimmick, but it isn't. If anything, its inclusion creates a clearer sound than you'd expect from these. The sound signature can be described as well-balanced with notable treble highlights. While the resolution of the treble may not be the highest quality, it makes these a good buy if you're looking at specifically comfort, fit, and use when working out. Additionally, the bass is surprisingly good. It won't knock your socks off, obviously. Generally, these types of workout earbuds have very weak or distorted bass. This one doesn't have either. It has clear bass output. The EQ modes are "standard," "vocal," "treble boost," "bass boost," or "customize." For the most part, when I'm working out, I listen to hip-hop, and therefore, I chose the "bass boost" as my go-to setting. For podcasts, I switch over to "vocal." I haven't tried many phone calls on them, but the time I did receive a call while on a run, I stopped and was able to talk for a few minutes without an issue. There is a "microphone noise cancellation during calls" feature, which isn't automatically turned on in the settings. If you plan to use these for calls, toggle that on when setting it up in the app. The app is both straightforward and effective in helping you customize it to suit your specific needs or preferences. You can easily adjust the EQ, personalize the controls, locate your earbuds, and upgrade the firmware. Everything is organized in a user-friendly and straightforward way. For at-home use or just relaxing, listening to your music, I wouldn't suggest these when there are several others out there that will sound better. Still, suppose you're looking for a place to work out specifically, whether that's cardio, gym, or outside walking. In that case, these are about as great as you're going to get at this price range. For $200, you get some comfortable earbuds that won't fall out, and you can "throw around a bit." These are IP-rated, so you don't have to worry about sweat, rain, or dust while working out. The battery is exceptional as well. In fact, after a few weeks of intermittent use, I've only had to charge them a few times. After more serious tracking, it will last around 50 hours! Obviously, that's more than enough for using every time you work out.

Fantastic premium earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shokz OpenFit 2+ open-ear true wireless earbuds are fantastic and are my new go-to pair of earbuds for music, audiobooks, and working out. - Setup: Pairing was quick and easy. When you open the charging case for the first time the earbuds enter pairing mode. The indicator on the case flashes between orange and green as confirmation. If for whatever reason you decide to pair them later, you will need to place the earbuds back into the charging case and press/hold the small circle button on the charging case for 3 seconds to reenter pairing mode. Select the earbuds in the Bluetooth section of your device and connect. - App: The Shokz app offers several additional options including Dolby Audio, various EQ modes including a custom option, MultiPoint pairing, customizable button controls, and microphone noise cancellation. I really like the MultiPoint pairing ability as I can quickly change between my phone and laptop without needing to unpair from one and pair to the other. Simply pause the playback on one device and press play on the new device to transfer between them. - Case and battery life: The earbuds have a reported 11-hour battery life with up to 48 hours of total playback utilizing the wireless charging case. The case has a fast charge ability allowing for 2 hours of additional playback time after only 10 minutes of charging. I use these earbuds every day and between the long earbud battery life and the ability to fast charge with the wireless charging case I have no concerns about battery life. - Comfort: The earbuds are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Unlike some of my other earbuds, these are super lightweight, remain secure on my ears, and I hardly notice them. They are made of a soft silicone and feel great hooked over the top of each ear. - Buttons: These have both physical and touch buttons. The physical buttons can be customized for click, double click, triple click, and long press. Various options for the physical buttons include play/pause, next/previous, and increase/decrease volume. There is, unfortunately, no way to have them mute your microphone during calls which would be nice. Hopefully it can be addressed in a firmware update. The touch button can only be programmed for long press and will activate voice assistant. - Warranty – It has a 2-year manufacturer warranty which is respectable. My final thoughts about the Shokz OpenFit 2+ earbuds – They check all the boxes and are a premium product. I highly recommend.

Shokz OpenFit2+: My New Daily Driver
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay, let’s be honest – I’ve been a pretty serious audio nerd for a while now, and I’ve spent a lot of time testing earbuds. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with finding the *perfect* listening experience, and the Shokz OpenFit2+ have quickly become one of my favorites. They’re not just earbuds, they’re a little piece of audio bliss. **Design & Comfort – Seriously, It Feels Good!** I’m a bit of a maximalist, so I appreciate a lot of detail, and these earbuds are seriously impressive. The OpenFit2+ are incredibly comfortable – I can wear them for hours without my ears feeling like they’re about to explode. The soft, rounded ear clip fit snugly without feeling tight, and the minimalist design is actually really stylish – it’s a refreshing change from some of the more bulky earbuds on the market. Seriously, I’ve been wearing these all day, and they feel fantastic. **Battery Life & Connectivity – Reliable and Easy** Battery life is a huge win for me. I can easily get through a full day of listening – 6-8 hours is plenty until they need to be charged. The case is a really clever design – it’s not just a box; it's a stylish and functional accessory. And the ability to charge the earbuds via the cable *and* wireless charging is brilliant. It’s a really thoughtful touch. The Bluetooth pairing is also incredibly smooth and quick. It took me less than a second to connect to my phone. **Sound Quality – It’s a Bit of a Warm Hug** Okay, this is where things get *really* good. The sound is just… great. The treble is incredibly clear and crisp, making music feel vibrant and full. The bass is rich and deep, but it doesn’t feel muddy or overpowering. It's a *really* balanced sound, and it’s genuinely enjoyable to listen to – even complex tracks. The EQ included in the smartphone app is very useful to adjust the sound to your liking. Note that these are not noise cancelling. **Potential Drawbacks – Things that could be better** Now, for the minor thing – the sound can get a *little* saturated at high volumes. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re listening to anything super bass-heavy. There are button on the earbuds which are a bit difficult to use while wearing them, but that's really just a minor flaw. **Price – It’s a Solid Investment** Honestly, the price is a bit on the higher side. But, for me, the combination of comfort, sound quality, and the convenience of the features makes these earbuds worth the splurge. **Overall Verdict – A Solid Recommendation** The Shokz OpenFit2+ earbuds are a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a good audio experience that’s comfortable, stylish, and delivers a truly enjoyable listening experience. They've become a go-to for me, and I’m genuinely excited to see where Shokz takes things.

Perfect Active Earbuds, Comfy and Open
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a pair of open earbuds to use while working outside and taking the dog for a walk, with the main concern being able to hear what was going on around me. I’ve used ambient mode for a lot of the ear buds, but they still leave a pressure in my ears that bother me after long durations. So, I wanted to give the open earbuds a try. I saw Shokz OpenFit2 was rated as one of the most comfortable open earbuds, so I decided to pick up the OpenFit2+ as they were just releasing. Pros: - Open Ear design. - Super Comfortable. - Great Audio Quality. - Crytal clear Calls. Cons: - Can feel loose if not properly fit. Setup: In the box, Shokz keeps it simple with just the earbuds, case, and a short USB-C to USB-C cable. Setup was just as simple, download the SHOKZ app from your app store, create an account, then off you go. You will want to follow the in-app instructions to put the earbuds on, the rotation to fit is very important to get a snug fit and proper sound. I found that if I just slipped on the earbuds, they would feel loose, and the sound was less than ideal. Rotating the earbuds onto the ears really made all the difference. Software: I like when apps are simple, less is more in the apps space. Shokz delivers with a very simple app that’s main purpose is to pair the earbuds, then enable additional settings. Honestly, I only had to open the app initially and to adjust the additional settings then that was it. One of the features to enable right away is the Dolby Audio, which greatly increases the sound quality. It helps fill out the audio to be fuller and vivid, even when just listening to podcasts or a meeting. There is the standard EQ Modes that you can adjust which is helpful if you have a specific type of audio that you listen to, but I found the standard to be very well rounded for multiple uses. The two other features I really liked were the MultiPoint Pairing, which allows you to connect to multiple devices at the same time, which is amazing if you want to be connected to your phone and laptop or another device. Paired with the Microphone Noise Cancellation During Calls, is a winning combination for those who travel or are on calls often. The Noise Cancellation was honestly better than most earbuds I’ve had at cutting out the background noise. Fit: As mentioned, there is a bit of a trick to getting the OpenFit2+ to fit snuggly. But once you get that down, I found the OpenFit2+ stayed in place regardless of how much I moved. I’d have to really try to shake them off to get any movement, which was perfect for outdoor use and walking the dog. But even better, was how comfortable the fit was. Unlike earbuds or over the ear headphones, there wasn’t the same pressure in or on the ear. These are crazy light on the ears, I’ve had them in for over 8 hours straight without any discomfort. Sound: The audio quality shocked me initially, as I wasn’t expecting it to sound so full and vibrant with the open ear design. But Shokz has proved to me with the OpenFit2+ that the open ear design can sound full and clear while providing the passive ambient benefit. Even the bass was booming. The only times I had any issue were when the surrounding environment was extremely loud, like on a busy street or with an emergency vehicle passing, would I have a hard time hearing the audio. But I expected that and wanted to be able to hear what was happening around me. Call Quality: The Call quality is great as well, as mentioned above, the microphone noise cancelling works perfectly to cut out even the loudest noises. The only impact to the microphone was a bit of muffling to your voice when the background noise was extremely loud. But even then, my caller would never hear the background noise! Just my voice, clear enough to understand. Battery Life: The battery life is great, I was easily getting a full 10+ hours of use time per charge. With the case, you can get more than 3 full charges on the earbuds, so on a full charge that was 40+ hours of play time. I found this to be roughly a weeks’ worth of use between charges, depending on your use. Better yet, was the quick charging provided roughly 2 hours of use with just a 10-minute charge up. Conclusion: If you want to be able to hear what’s happening around you, while listening to music comfortably all day, Shokz has the earbuds for you! The OpenFit2+ delivered shocking audio quality while providing all day comfort, with crystal clear calls. I’ve had these on since I got them, and don’t plan to take them off except to sleep or charge. I’ve got a new favorite active earbud.

Shokzingly Good!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I saw that Shokz came out with a newer version of their Open Fit earbuds, I was excited to try them. The earbuds come in a box with a wireless charging case, two openfit earbuds, a charging cord and a user manual. I love that the case has wireless charging. It makes it so much easier to charge than having to hunt for a cord at night. I have the original version of the Open Fit earbuds and I wear them every day. My original pair is black and the new Open Fit 2 are Beige. The ear support piece is the same shape and size as the original model but the end is closed rather than open. The silicone also seems to be a little more flexible. This is great for behind my ears, with my glasses. It seems like there is less pressure but it does make them feel a little less stable than the original version. I love that I can hear everything going on around me but I can still be immersed in whatever I'm listening to. The Open Fit 2 earbuds give me the same great features as the original but with even better sound. There is a Shokz app that has an equalizer with preset sound options like Standard, Vocal, Bass Boost, Treble Boost and Customize. New to these earbuds are the option to use Dolby Atmos and all I have to say is wow! I have listened to music with Dolby Atmos before but the sound and quality of it with these earbuds was absolutely phenomenal. I felt like I was right there listening to the music. I had my husband listen and he was in awe as well. Just a side note, Dolby Atmos used to be available only with premium music services. Now I found that there was quite a bit of music on the Amazon Music App that was available in Dolby Atmos at no additional charge. The earbuds are controlled by pushing buttons on the top that are easily depressed. This is far superior to the virtual buttons on the original version. If my hair was wet and brushed by the buttons, it would activate them. I can listen with one earbud at a time, which is great for bedtime. I put one in my right ear (I lay on my left side) and set the sleep timer to whichever preset off amount of time I choose. They will shut down that amount of time. The Open Fit 2 has Multipoint pairing which means that you can connect it to two different devices at the same time. This is a really great feature. It is always a struggle for me to switch between connecting to my phone and connecting to my tablet. If I wanted to use the earbuds with my tablet, I had to go into the Bluetooth on my phone and disconnect them. Then I had to go into the tablet and get them to connect. Speaking of connecting, the earbuds are super easy to connect to any device initially and subsequent connections are seamless. According to the specs, the earbuds have up ro 11 hours of listening on a charge with up to 48 hours total listening when you recharge them with the case. You can recharge them to use them in 60 minutes. The earbuds are also rated to IP 55 water resistance to keep them safe from sweat and ;being caught in the rain. Wireless charging case 2 earbuds Charging cord User guide 11 hours on one charge Upto 48 hrs when recharged with the case Recharge in 60 minutes Soft silicone Sleep timer 1 at a time Multipoint pairing Multiple devices Multi function actual buttons (skip, volume, answer calls) AI powered crystal Open ear connected to surroundings Open base Direct sound Like you're there/Dolby Atmos WOW Equalizer App Preset adjustments IP 55 water resistance for sweat and caught in the rain

Great Open Ear design for everyday use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, Ive been using the Shokz Open Fit 2+ for about a week now and I have to say that they have become my go to "earphone" for everyday use for a couple of reasons. Firstly, they are very lightweight and comfortable. Initially I didn't really like the way they felt on my ears because I kept fidgeting with them and adjusting them because I am so used to have earbuds go into my ear and secure into place. These have the hook design that wraps around your ear and the "bud" just kind of hovers over your ear canal. My brain kept telling me that they are going to fall off, so I kept reaching to adjust them. After my second day of use, I started to trust that they won't fall and got used to them being in that position. Sooo the main reasons I've come to love these is because I tend to fall asleep with my earbuds in my ears. It's hard for me to fall asleep sometimes without some sort of ambient sound. I like to listen to soft music or a podcast while I doze off. My girlfriend is a light sleeper lol, so headphones are a must for me. Anyway.. I would always wake up and the earbuds had fallen out of my ear and then I'm scrambling to find them before I head out for the day. I have not had this issue with the Shokz Openfit. They stay securely in place even after tossing and turning all night. I was pretty impressed. I woke up and I could still hear the podcast going haha. I think I can assume that these will stay in place whether you are out jogging, walking, at the gym or use them to fall asleep. Secondly the sound quality is actually pretty good. These provide a different experience than typical "in ear" buds. So keep that in mind. You will not get the same bass response because there is no seal in your ear canal. That being said. The Shokz Openfit 2+ to me sound nice and balanced. I keep the dolby audio option on with the provided app. You'll lose "spatial" head tracking audio if you use an iPhone but that's ok. (at least in my experience). I don't see a setting in the app to keep it. I would say that the sound quality of these earbuds is excellent. Vocals are nice and clean. Mids and Treble are clean. Bass (while not head rattling) is still good and you you'll get a nice subtle thump from the bass. I tend to keep the volume at 25 ~ 40% and they are loud enough. Coincidentally, If you raise the volume over lets say 60% they just became quite trebly. Mids and Bass get blasted out. You'll have to turn off dolby audio or change the EQ preset in the app to get better sound quality at higher volumes. Honestly I wouldn't recommend taking these over 50% volume. They are loud, and will probably damage your ears over time if you listen to these too loud for extended periods. All in all, I really like these earphones. They have excellent sound quality. Battery life is great. They will be able to withstand a rain shower, sweaty workout. The charging pod is very cool and unobtrusive. You won't have to worry about earwax getting all over your buds. You won't have to worry about jamming germs or dirt into your ear canals. And most importantly you will be able to stay aware of your surroundings while listening to your favorite songs or audio. You gotta protect your hearing, and stay aware while out and about. If you are looking for a pair of wireless earphones, these should be on your short list. Check them out, they take a little adjusting to but I think in the end you will really enjoy using these. I do, I love them.

Remarkable performance + cloud-like comfort = Win
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shokz OpenFit2+ Open Ear True Wireless Earbuds; My daughter won’t use any earbuds but the Shokz brand. She’s on the phone, at her computer, all day. She’ll listen to audiobooks and, occasionally, music in her free time. This Shokz earbud series requires minimal compromise as it is very musical and a legitimate audio performer. They also provide a lot of customization in the app. It does not achieve the enhanced detail of the very best audio-purist systems, but those earphones can’t achieve this comfortable experience for an entire day. Earbuds that don’t need to be inserted into your ears never get tired. This is why the Shokz brand has become so popular. The real surprise is going to occur when music lovers discover how seriously these OpenFit2+ take sound reproduction. SETUP and FEATURES: The initial connection to Bluetooth was guided by the app and proved to be foolproof. Soon after connecting, an update was sent to the earbuds. This feature and all the others are explained clearly in the app. Shokz really outdid themselves here. The APP: Shokz has included everything you could ever want or need in an app. There are a bunch of different listening equalizations that you can choose from: standard (which is presumably a natural curve), Vocal (audiobooks and instructional), Bass Boost, Treble Boost, and a Customize, which offers a 5-band equalizer which can be saved under a name you provide. I added a couple of custom equalized curves and I’m not sure how many more are available. There’s also a Dolby Audio selector switch, which I found made my pop and rock sound really lively. I spent most of my time in this mode. The OpenFit2+ offers MultiPoint pairing so you can easily and conveniently connect to two devices (phone, tablet, or computer?) at the same time without fussing with your Bluetooth settings. This function worked nicely. There are physical buttons on the earbuds which provide media control (Pause, play, Next, Previous, Volume) which require some practice to quickly find. The actual ease of use is great, because the clicks are easy to recognize and they work. And, you can customize the controls. There are also Touch controls which require you to enable them in the app. They only control the Voice Assistant. You can also enable Microphone Noise Cancelling, which reduces background or ambient noise for the other party during a call. PERFORMANCE: If you’ve had experience with earlier iterations of Shokz earbuds or headphones, with their bone conduction sound reproduction, you might be surprised by the improved sound quality.. Those earlier devices required some modest audio compromises to achieve long-term comfort. Some also weren’t always secure on my head. The Shokz OpenFit 2+ are a world apart in sound quality. I can’t find any compromises. They’re infinitely comfortable. You might forget you’re wearing them. They never felt like they might fall off my head. I hate taking them off, not just because they’re comfortable, but because they sound great. The battery life is extended, so you won’t have to worry about running out of juice during your sessions. I was surprised after a workout and a writing session when I realized I was still wearing them. I have a whole new appreciation for Shokz earbuds, and they’ve convinced me why I own them. I highly recommend them.

Comfortable Open Ear Design w/ Great Battery Life
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These new Shokz were a happy discovery. Having become hooked on clip-style ear buds earlier in the year, these prove to be equally comfortable, offering a different wearing style that some may prefer. The ear hook on the Open Fit 2 was designed to improve comfort over its predecessor, with a more flexible and thin ear band that still feels durable. Now, this Open Fit 2+ models goes even further and adds Dolby Audio for better sound handling. ___ Design ___ These feel premium, with metal elements that have some heft in the hand, while still feeling light while wearing. I love the smoothed over physical button for basic controls too, it’s very easy to reliably feel for and press when needing to mute, skip or change volume. Battery life is also very good, boasting 11 hours in this newest flagship model. I quickly got used to wearing these and appreciate how light and open they feel. They definitely allow better situational awareness, allowing background noises to come through, but like all ‘open’ earbuds, the higher the volume you use them, the more you’ll drown out those background noises. As a result, I like keeping volume lower and balancing to my surroundings. That’s the whole point, right? ___ Sound Quality ___ Sound quality (default setting) is quite decent for an open-air design without noise cancelling. Bass almost rolls in and is punchy, trebles and mids are slightly crispy and vibrate slightly. Sound quality is good up to around 50-60% of available volume, after which I can hear a lot more distortion. That’s fine, IMO, as 50% is plenty loud for me. Dolby Audio can be turned on via the companion Shokz app for a slightly higher impression of quality. In itself, I don’t think it’s a super important reason to choose this over the normal, non-‘plus’ model. ___ Other Qualities ___ Another feature offered in the app is the ability to connect to 2 sources at once. If you move between devices often, this helps. The charging case in silver is maybe my only gripe with these. In silver, it looks a bit cheap from the outside (painted silver plastic impression), though the interior still feels premium with well-designed holders to easily drop your earpieces into place. Overall, I really like these. In terms of comfort, they quickly disappeared on my ears. I like them equally as much as my clip-on style ear buds and the sound quality is quite good, even for music and not just podcasts. *** Stuff I Like *** - Great build quality and comfort. - Long battery life. - Premium materials (silicone and metal). - Very respectable sound quality in an open-ear design. *** Stuff I Don’t Like *** - Silver case looks a bit cheap on the outside.

Comfortable superior sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried multiple wired/wireless in ear headphones/buds over the years The issue for me has always been getting a comfortable fit where I could wear them for extended periods of time – which has so far been somewhat of a fools errand. Also, they tended to fall out of my ear if using while exercising, etc. This has left me using over the ear headphones which are a tad cumbersome to travel with and difficult to use while exercising, etc. The solution? These openfit 2+ headphones. They hook around your ear, and the speaker sits on the ear - not in the ear. I found them extremely comfortable, and having 2 speakers (high and low frequency units) provides great sound and would recommend them. Nice packaging. The small black 2.5 x 2.5 x 1 inch carrying case also charges the buds and can be wirelessly charged. Case seems to have magnets to hold buds securely in case. While charging, using the provided (short) 12-inch USB-C cable, I installed the Shokz app and reviewed the provided user guide. Buds are supposed to last up to 11 hours on a charge and the case will charge them for up to a total of 48 hrs. A 10-minute charge time gives 2 hrs. listening time. Small case size makes it easy to carry in a shirt, pants, etc. The buds were easily paired with the app on my Android phone – also paired easily with one of my tv’s. There was a firmware update, but it was installed quickly. The app provides access to many settings/options that allow for a lot of personalization. The app provides these sound options; Standard – which had good sound overall with decent bass Vocal – definitely enhanced voice reducing all other sound Bass Boost – This did boost the bass but to me it muddied all the other sounds. Treble Boost – I would rate it between standard and bass boost. Customize – Provides a sliding EQ. This is what I wound up using moving the Bass to max. Dolby Sound (on/off). If on it reduces usage time. Microphone Noise Cancellation During Calls (on/off) I initially tried them out listening to music on my phone and could not have been happier with the sound quality. All the songs nuances could be heard. I also used them for 1 hr while using treadmill and while I could hear the treadmill it wasn’t intrusive. I was streaming a Dolby Atmos series, and the sound was very impressive – putting you in the middle of the action with sound being very spatial and all around you. I have 2 Dolby Atmos soundbars with rear speakers and these buds sound is very comparable. Plus, I did not have to worry about them falling out of my ear and after 1 hr they still registered as 100% charged. Using them while working or around the house doing chores – such as washing dishes (wound up with one in ear bud in the water) – vacuuming – yard work – they stay put!!!! Sitting next to my wife (like on a plane, etc.) using them I could barely make out any “sound” unless on very high volume. I couldn’t pick up what was playing. Volume you listen to will affect this of course. Buds can be controlled using the button on each or by touch. I prefer buttons but appreciate being able to choose. You can also customize these functions in the app. I didn’t use to answer calls. But a big plus for users that do is these can be synched and used by 2 devices at the same time. It does provide AI microphone sound cancellation during calls (set in app). The app has a “find” function, but buds only make a “pinging” noise – no location tracking. But the case must be open, or the buds must be out of the case to use. You can use buds singly or as a pair. I wore them while using my reading glasses and had no interference issues with the ear loops. 2-year warranty (?). It was nice not to have to spend time working thru the different ear “gel” sizes trying to find ones that fit comfortably. They are extremely comfortable to wear with just a small pressure around the top of my ears. You do give up ANC, but they are so much more comfortable than in ear or even over ear headphones and the sound is fantastic. Being able to hear your surroundings does have advantages – especially if using outside – being aware of your surroundings. Also, they have an IP55 dust/water resistance rating so sweat/rain shouldn’t be an issue. Not made for swimming though Overall, these are the most comfortable and have the best sound out of the 3 over ear wireless headphones and 6 in ear wireless/wired headphones/buds I have used. A fantastic product that sounds great and stays on your ear – a definite recommend. I would be shokzed if you didn’t like them.

Outstanding upgrade to the Shokz OpenFit line!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do a lot of outdoorsy stuff and yard work and have always struggled with maintaining situational awareness while doing so and listening to music. I thought the original Shokz line up that utilized the bone conduction were cool, but I was too much of a music purist to be really happy with them. The AirPods from apple may have sounded great but they darn near jump out of my ears with the slightest move. When the Shokz OpenFit hit the market a few years ago, I found my outdoor headset. They sounded great, stayed secure, and keep me aware of my surroundings. My only quibble with them was that the case battery seemed to drain way too quickly. Fast forward to this week when I got the new OpenFit 2+ and I'm in heaven! These are my new go-to earbuds. I've been listening to these for almost an entire week now, and EVERYTHING has been improved, with the exception of one tiny little quibble that isn't even much of a quibble now that I am used to them). What has gotten better? Sound: Better, tighter, and more refined bass. Less sibilant highs and clearer all around. Do you get deep bass? No, you can't really get that without a seal but I was blown away by how much the 2+ has improved on it. Battery: Battery life is WAY more consistent and longer lasting. Over the last few years new techniques for charging algorithms have improved charging cases so that they don't waste charge keeping their items constantly at 100%. I don't know if Shokz is using such algorithms, but I've seen a marked improvement on battery life while in use and while in the case. Nothing more annoying than being out on a hike, reaching for your earbuds, and finding them dead. Charging: Now I can charge my OpenFits wirelessly! I have a small MagSafe power bank that is almost always with me and now, even if I was out on a hike, I can slap the case on there and get enough of a charge to keep me going! I can also drop it on the charge pad in my car. PERFECT! Mic: I don't call a lot of people when I'm out and about (please just text me), but my parents called while I was on a hike and they even commented on how clear I sounded. I could hear them perfectly as well. Very happy with the communication component. Controls: The original OpenFit had the tap controls which was great but a tad limited. Now you have an additional physical button to the tops of each bud which you can customize. Gives you a ton of other options, AND you can deactivate the touch controls and stick with the physical controls if you have a tendency to accidentally activate touch controls. What stayed the same? Fit: I HATE earbuds that go down into your ear canal! That is why I was so stoked by the original OpenFits, and they are just as great now. The OpenFit 2+ nicely drapes over your ears and the soft plastic has yet to bug me despite HOURS of constant wear. They don't even interfere or get messed up themselves by my glasses! What got a little bit worse (but I'm OK with it now)?: Security of Fit: I think that the Shokz team was able to improve on the sound not only with better internals but with a better placement of the speakers towards your ears. It's small, but there is a definite twist to the speaker section to better drive the sound down your ear canal. That though has changed the balance slightly of the OpenFit 2+, at least for me. Now when turning my head or looking down, I get a bit of a wobble sometimes by the lateral ends shifting slightly with the momentum. At first it would make me feel like they were going to fall off a bit, but as I wore them, I got used to the feeling and now it doesn't make me reach up to steady them like I was doing. All in all, I am SUPER happy with the Shokz OpenFit 2+! They are everything I loved about the originals and more. These are the best earbuds/headphones (IMHO) for anyone that wants great sounding music but needs to keep their head on a swivel. Nice job Shokz!

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the OpenFit 2+ mainly for workouts and daily calls, and they’ve been excellent. The open-ear design is very comfortable — I can wear them for hours without pressure or ear fatigue. They stay secure even during cardio and light running. Sound quality is surprisingly full for open-ear earbuds. You don’t get deep, sealed-in bass like traditional in-ear buds, but the clarity and spatial feel are impressive. Calls are clear, and the microphones do a good job reducing background noise. Battery life has been consistent for me, and the case charges quickly. The biggest advantage is awareness — I can hear traffic and people around me, which makes them perfect for outdoor walks and gym use. Great choice if comfort and situational awareness matter more than heavy bass
