Pretty quiet but suitable for the gym
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me begin this review by stating I purchased these solely for gym use. They are NOT my “go-to” headphones for supreme sound quality and immersion. For quality, these are sufficient but nowhere near premium. And that was ok with me. These headphones are phenomenal for what I wanted. They stay firmly attached to my head while I jog. They are so comfortable that I often forget I am wearing them. I enjoy listening to podcasts and music. These have a lot more bass than what I expected! The sound quality is satisfactory and I am confident when I wear them that I am not disturbing others around me, even when the volume on the device is turned up all the way (as it usually is because these are somewhat quiet). It is a unique feeling to be able to listen to music while being able to have a conversation with the person next to you. To that end, it is quite wonderful and I can maintain awareness of my surroundings while using them. In closing, if you are considering getting these for sport purposes, DO IT. They are worth it. If you want something with more premium features and quality, keep looking.

Excellent Headset!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shokz sound very good, and have a lot of features which make them a great everyday companion. Battery life is pretty much as advertised. They last a whole practical day. Mic included. Great for handling calls, hands free. Multipoint pairing is available with the app. They're able to get pretty loud, without much disturbance to those surrounding you. It is possible, but not as likely as regular headphones Open ear access is very nice for awareness, or for using earplugs if you need to. Very durable. Avoidant to water damage. Buttons are logical and intuitive. Shokz, if you're reading this, I would ask for dedicated 'track forward' and 'track backward' buttons. Sound Quality is about as expected for earbuds. If you want extra high quality sound, well, you probably know better than I do, which products and which specifications you should be looking at.

Great, but not for air travel.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had these for a year now, and they have held up well. These are super comfortable, so comfortable in fact, I would often I forget I had them on. The controls are simple, straight forward and easy to use. The 10 hour battery is awesome, it would typically last me a full work day (10-12) hrs. I manage construction for a living, so I am often walking around jobsites making phone calls. These have a great mic, people were able to hear me very well even with a good amount of background noise. (Not standing next to saws or equipment) A couple things I would like to note: 1) These aren't great when you are laying down, the band pushes them forward and off your ears. 2) These don't do well for airline travel, there is just too much noise on an airplane for these to work well. I took them on a flight and wasn't able to hear anything. 3) These have a unique charge cable, so if you lose it you'll have to order another one. Overall, they are a great product. I still use them every day for work because they allow me to use my phone, work hands free, and still listen to what's going on around me.

Amazing!!! Thank you Shockz!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I have sever ear issues. I cannot wear headphones that go into my ear so I invested in these headphones, they wrap around your ears and sit outside if your ear! They are super comfortable and I’m so happy I invested in these! They are sport proof, so that includes water proof and sweat proof. I use these in the shower, at work and just about every other activity I go to! Gals they are concealable you can put them on and if you have longer hair, you can definitely hide them! The sound quality is perfect and the music sounds like you are hearing it in person! I’d recommend buying these! So so so worth it! I’d also like to add that these have a battery that last me about 12 hours! So please do yourself a favor and invest in a pair today!!!

Pleasantly Surprised
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very surprised at the sound quality. Pros: Lightweight, long battery life, decent sound quality, great case. Charging is easy and uses a magnet to secure headphones while charging. Very comfortable for a moderate amount of time. Secure fit so you won't lose them. In quiet environments, it works well with your phone. The voice quality is good. Cons: Pairing with two devices can be challenging but it does work. The app has no real value other than updates. Proprietary charging cable, if you lose it you will have to order another from Shook. Talking in noisy environments is difficult due to volume limits and limited noise canceling. I do use these quite often, they are convenient. These are not a good replacement for Bose or Beats Pro earbuds. If you demand high-quality music these may not be what you need. But if you travel, workout, or are on the move, these may be exactly what you need. The likelihood of losing these is much lower than earbuds. I fly a lot and found losing earbuds expensive. Use these when I'm on the move and my earbuds when I'm in my home, office or another area where finding a lost earbud is easier. Overall I do recommend these especially if you travel or are active.

I usually charge them at night and they will last long past the work day. Making calls on them are great have had no complaints about not being able to hear me or sound like I’m in a tunnel. I have worn them in the rain and they still work great. Haven’t had an issue with them falling off for any reason definitely recommend.

Way more comfortable than earbuds!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several pairs of Bluetooth headsets but most of them are different flavors of earbuds. I wanted to try these Shokz since I get ear canal “fatigue” on most of my in-ear headsets. I’m pleasantly surprised that these Shokz are very comfortable to wear. I also felt a little safer wearing these while roller skating on a public hike and bike trail. At a medium volume, I was still able to hear people’s voices, bicycles coming up alongside me and even my skate wheels clicking over a bridge. When I first put them on with all my gear, I was concerned that they would be less comfortable but they were actually great to wear. I have long hair and was wearing a visor and sunglasses and while at first it seemed like there was a whole lot going on over my ear and behind my head, I hardly noticed it once I got moving. The sound quality is good, but not great. It was a little bit tinny but I attribute some of that to ambient noise and wind and again they aren’t in your ears. There is an app which has an EQ feature, but there are only 2 settings: voice and standard. I like a little more bass, but there is not a way to add any layers to the sound. The first time I paired it with my iPhone there were more steps than most apps and Bluetooth devices I use. Also the app only opens after the headsets pair with your phone but I guess that makes sense. The volume button is separate from the FF-REW-Pause button and having buttons over your ear and under your ear take some getting used to, but after a few tries I had it down. I’ve also used them now for phone calls and a conference call, which I was pleased with both sound and microphone worked well. One note is that the microphone picks up a lot your background noise in a phone call. The only thing I would ask them to add (besides better EQ controls) would be to make the strap behind your head adjustable. I have a small noggin and would like the strap to be about 10% smaller and snugger. Overall, 4 stars out of 5 for general usage and 5 out of 5 for comfort, exercise and outdoor safe usage.

safety first
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought and own a pair of SHOKZ OpenComms, they were amazingly comfortable and amazing and had a great canceling mic. I couldn't be happier with them until I wasn't on the mic at all! They still had warranty, the company told me 3 times that I would get a replacement, but 6 months to a year and still haven't received a replacement!! Took a cheap used bone inductor for a while and then needed another pair but no shokz replacement! I was hesitant to order anything from shokzi again. I did some research and chose another brand. Mojowa, excellent quality, amazing bluetooth range, decent sound, ok microphone, but fits me terribly, they hurt! no matter what I did I couldn't make them comfortable, I regretted ordering!I kept thinking about the comfort of my old shokz, what else did they offer? I decided to stay away from open com though, but gave in and ordered a SHOKZ OpenRun Pro from them!Almost not!! but happy!I can wear them all day and even forget I have them on!!!!full disclosure; I use my shokz mainly for driving and construction work for mobile use, listening to music is secondary, for your headphones audio critics they probably don't measure up to sony or bose but the sound is much improved from my first open com and the best in everything. inductions I've had!(A little note/tip about bone induction, if they're not loud enough for you, if you're in a loud environment, wear earplugs or soundproof headphones, they're loud! Sounds crazy. , I know, but really!I don't like headphones or things in my ears, and I also like to be aware of my surroundings, so bone induction is the only way for me!Great battery life and fast charging, great. all day comfort, great sound improvement and great microphone.SHOKZ OpenRun Pro!is by far the best bone induction headphones for me!I want to be a shokz user forever,I hope the quality surpasses my last pair of shokz or at least the customer service is more reliable! !because so far the SHOKZ OpenRun Pros are great!Stay tuned!!.

I Like These, But I Want More Volume
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the product. The batteries last a long time. It is comfortable to wear. The weakest point is the max volume is not very loud. It's just barely loud enough in some situations. Of course the sound quality isn't anything super amazing, but it's fine for the price and what you would expect for this sort of audio device. I use it to listen to audiobooks and YouTube videos mostly. So I don't mind the sound quality anyway. I would like it to have a little more volume sometimes though.

||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I listen to music all day while I'm working, thanks to this awesome thing! It charges fully in no time. The sound quality is fantastic. I can control it on my samsung watch. Best part is I can hear my music without struggling to hear everyone around me. Plus, most people have no idea I'm listening to music unless they happened to notice the device which is rare when my hair is down or I'm wearing a scrub hat. Btw, I've had it for 2 years now and it still works like it's brand new!

Best Bluetooth Headset
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shokz are a very good purchase. They are not in my ear so they do not interfere with me hearing what is going on around me. People around me can not hear the person I am talking with on the phone. They do not pick up static and outside noise so my conversation remains clear. When the battery is low you will hear, (charge me) and it does not take long to fully charge. When fully charged they last for a long time. Usually for me it lasts 3 or 4 days. Low visibility by others around you. I will definitely purchase another set when these need to be replaced

Perfect gift for your dad
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones for my dad as a birthday gift since he is someone who works a lot with his phone and needs to be constantly on the move They're VERY light and comfortable. The moment you put them on, you forget they're there. They don't move around (no matter how much you sweat) and the band that goes around the back of your head doesn't get caught when you turn your head, even if you're wearing a bike helmet. And even if they do happen to move a little, you don't notice because it doesn't change the audio quality or volume, and you never feel like they're at risk of coming off. They're easy to put on and take off too. They're great for audiobooks and podcasts, which is what I use them for. You can still hear everything that's going on around you. Absolutely no problems fitting them with glasses or bike helmet. Again, for me, it's like they're not even there. The volume is pretty good. You can hear the audio over MOST external noises. (More on this below.) Solid battery life. Good, big, actual clickable buttons. No unreliable gestures.

Lightweight, durable, and hearing aid compatible(?
|Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never experinced bone conducting headphones before purchasing this set. They offer an excellent user experience. I can't claim they offer the best sound in their class, but you can listen to your music without being rude or oblivious to your surroundings. The sound quality is more than adequate for an open ear headset, especially one intended to be worn while working out. I wear them as daily drivers at work, and haven't had any issues, even in windy Oklahoma. The standard sound mode is a little bass heavy, but there is a voice priority mode should the bass bother you. The microphones are of surprising quality, managing to isolate your voice amongst the audible detritus of the modern world. When first putting them on, I did notice them for a period, but I was never bothered by their presence. The band is flexible and lightweight, and the way they cradle around your ears makes their presence barely noticable. I have legitimately forgotten I am wearing them and gone to turn the volume down on the TV. I have read reports of bone conducting headphones being good for people with hearing issues; I tested this theory at a client's house. The client's eyes lit up with how clear they sounded and how loud they can get if you need them to. They appear to be hearing aid compatible based on that limited experiment, so these are possibly a good solution for folks with hearing problems. Battery life and range are excellent. Shokz claims 10 hours on a charge; I'm not sure what volume they tested at, but I have run them for over 11.5 hours on a charge at 60% volume. Range-wise, I'm genuinely impressed with how little I have to fight with dropped connections and garbled audio. All in all, great product.

Highly Recommended
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are a game changer. The sound quality isn't great for music - it's sending your sound through bone, after all, but they're absolutely perfect for watching movies, videos and phone conversations. The sound is clear and true enough for these purposes. If I want to immerse myself in music, I'll use my Bose. The battery life is great for the small size. I've worn them all day and I've not had the battery go dead yet. They charge very quickly, too. I'm not overly crazy about the proprietary charging cable, but for a few dollars, you can get an adaptor to be able to use USB-C cables. Replacement Shokz cables are available, too. The main feature of these headphones is the ability to hear your surroundings or have a conversation while listening to music or videos. They're perfect for walking, jogging, bicycling or just staying aware. These are not meant to cancel noise, but just the opposite, and they do their job well. One of the most important features is the comfort. This is huge on my list because I have small ear canals, and I've found only a couple ear phones prior that would not only stay in my ears, but do it fairly comfortably. Those were both made by Bose, and one is discontinued. Even those would hurt my ears after a couple hours. The Shokz Open Run Pro headphones are the most comfortable I've EVER had. I literally forget I have them on. I've worn them for ten hours and suffered zero discomfort. That alone outweighs any forfeiture of sound quality. In short, these headphones do what they're meant to do and they do it brilliantly.
