A great concept but poorly executed. I love the bone conducting technology and have used the technology in both personal and professional app;ications. These work marginally. These have the limited bluetooth technology of bluetooth devices three generations old. The button cannot be programmed and only answers calls, hangs up calls, starts and pauses music or books. There is no ability to activate speech commands, AI interfaces, or other simple tasks. They do not auto mute when you start taclking like mose modern earbuds do. These randomly stop for no reason. They will stay on but just stop whatever application you are using. Tapping the button will restart music, which is fine, unless you were listening to a podcast or a book. It just defaults to your default music source. These are not loud. Keep them at full volume at all times unless you are sitting in a library. The ambiient sound on a public bus is enough to drown these out. I have Bose sunglasses with bone conducting technology and I can hear them far better. These do not support other technologies I have found in othher devices, such as silencing the ringer on my phone when connected and annnouncing the calller ID so I dont have to try to look at my phone in bringht daylight. There is no case charging, nor is there an inductive charging ooption. Make sure you bring along the specific-to-this-device-only magnetic cord. Lastly, the head band thing around the back of your head. I wanted the extended battery life of this model, and unfortunately that meant a head band thing. Non-adjustable headband thing. It sits one inch off the back of my head. Wearing a jacket with a collar (think Carhartt jacket) and the collar interferes with the device, knocking it from your head. Until these "Premium" devices develop some premium features to match their premium pricetag, avoid them. Current earbuds are a much better value and price.

Really good for regular lifecycle playing music while listening to people or in a library at work. Horrible for walking through a city or working outs it start to feel like a speaker sitting on your temple and you have to turn it up so much that it causes headaches. So in a quiet environment, great.

Overall, the product works well and delivers a good performance in most cases. However, the sound quality is not always consistent - with songs or videos that have strong bass, it can become unpleasant. The battery life could also be improved a bit, as it feels a little short for extended use. Aside from those points, everything else is fine and the product meets expectations.

The Shokz are a very good purchase. They are not in my ear so they do not interfere with me hearing what is going on around me. People around me can not hear the person I am talking with on the phone. They do not pick up static and outside noise so my conversation remains clear. When the battery is low you will hear, (charge me) and it does not take long to fully charge. When fully charged they last for a long time. Usually for me it lasts 3 or 4 days. Low visibility by others around you. I will definitely purchase another set when these need to be replaced

These are mind blowing. I’ll use these when working around the house so when my wife tries to talk to me, I can still hear her and she doesn’t get mad because I have my noise canceling Bose in.

I tried these on in the store and immediately fell in love. The sound was exceptionally good. I liked that they weren't over the head ear phones. I wanted something I could use for walking/working out but also use for work as I work from home and in constant calls. I wanted comfort above all else. At first it takes some getting used to. But what I found was that after 2 hrs of wearing it cause just as much discomfort as my over head war phones. I really liked them but I could not get past the discomfort so I returned them.

I bought and own a pair of SHOKZ OpenComms, they were amazingly comfortable and amazing and had a great canceling mic. I couldn't be happier with them until I wasn't on the mic at all! They still had warranty, the company told me 3 times that I would get a replacement, but 6 months to a year and still haven't received a replacement!! Took a cheap used bone inductor for a while and then needed another pair but no shokz replacement! I was hesitant to order anything from shokzi again. I did some research and chose another brand. Mojowa, excellent quality, amazing bluetooth range, decent sound, ok microphone, but fits me terribly, they hurt! no matter what I did I couldn't make them comfortable, I regretted ordering!I kept thinking about the comfort of my old shokz, what else did they offer? I decided to stay away from open com though, but gave in and ordered a SHOKZ OpenRun Pro from them!Almost not!! but happy!I can wear them all day and even forget I have them on!!!!full disclosure; I use my shokz mainly for driving and construction work for mobile use, listening to music is secondary, for your headphones audio critics they probably don't measure up to sony or bose but the sound is much improved from my first open com and the best in everything. inductions I've had!(A little note/tip about bone induction, if they're not loud enough for you, if you're in a loud environment, wear earplugs or soundproof headphones, they're loud! Sounds crazy. , I know, but really!I don't like headphones or things in my ears, and I also like to be aware of my surroundings, so bone induction is the only way for me!Great battery life and fast charging, great. all day comfort, great sound improvement and great microphone.SHOKZ OpenRun Pro!is by far the best bone induction headphones for me!I want to be a shokz user forever,I hope the quality surpasses my last pair of shokz or at least the customer service is more reliable! !because so far the SHOKZ OpenRun Pros are great!Stay tuned!!.

    Love the Shokz

I love my Shokz. This is the third pair I owned. I broke or lost the previous two because they were with me in conditions the other headsets wouldn't survive. Lets go to the specifics. I am not selling or benefiting from the review, just share my experience hoping it will help people like me. I have very irregular ears which makes use of the in-ear headsets difficult. The SHokz are incredibly smart and ergonomic. 1. You can start use them out of the box, though I would recommend to charge and researcher the basic controls before using. 2. I use the titanium version. It is very light , though you can step on it and it might survive, may not, so I wouldnt recommend the experiment. 3. The headset is so light so you quickly forget it is there. 4. The sound clear and you can hear individual instruments, but the outside sound is not blocked in any way. So you can hear the ocean if you walk on a beach and talk on the phone at the same time. 5. Charging - nothing to mention, it works and convenient to plug in. 6. Hard to talk when wind is blowing, but to be fair, any headset hard to hear on the wind. In short - get it, try it, return if it is not for you. I love them. Thank you

Absolutely love these things. If you’re in a noisy environment just put ear plugs in then turn down the volume. These are perfect so you can easily hear what’s going on around you and still hear your favorite tunes.

My significant other originally purchased aftershoks-trex titanium because he has hearing aids and thought they would work well with them. They didn’t, however he gave them to me to try and I loved them. I used them for 2 years, until I dropped and broke them. I bought these and they are almost identical to the ones I broke. The only thing I miss is the original voice of the person who did the ones I broke. Sound is excellent. Not too loud, and like the bone conducting headsets vs noise canceling. I have a dog who is deaf and has seizures, and need to be able to hear her if she is in distress.

I love these headphones. They work so well. I love that i can listen to my music without having to take my earbuds out when someone talks to me. They are a very good design for active people or someone who needs to hear the outside world but still needing music. Its perfect for people with little ears. You dont have to shove a tiny painful ear bud in.

This is my second pair -- I stupidly broke the first pair I bought by sticking them in my pocket without the case, and it snapped where the earpieces connect to the band, so they just kind of flop uselessly around. I immediately bought this pair to replace them because these are so useful for what I need -- I've got a 2 year old and have basically used these headphones for most of her life, so that I can have my Nanit app on my phone and still hear it (or the monitor itself) while listening to podcasts (music is harder b/c it tends to drown the monitor out) while still being aware of the world at large. I've also loved these for working outside (can still hear neighbors or the delivery person if they start talking to you), going on dog walks (can still hear cars), and even driving. I've got a pair of AirPod Pros that I also really love, but they serve a different purpose -- those are for canceling the noise outside, these are for allowing it to coexist with what I'm listening to. I still use them both depending on what I'm doing -- if I went for a run outside, I'd use the Shokz without a doubt. At the gym or on a bus, AirPods. It also works well for hands-free for phone calls, although sometimes it picks up extra noise compared to other headseats I've had. They're also more comfortable than most ear buds I've used (although they can wear on the top of your ears, similar to glasses, and they don't work the best if you're wearing glasses/sunglasses). This version also has a big improvement over the first gen OpenRun headphones -- those would make an annoying BEEP if you got out of range of your device, and you couldn't stop it without turning the headphones off. Every time I went out to the garage for something and forgot my phone, BEEP... BEEP... BEEP. The new ones beep once and that's it. Sound quality is fine, battery life has been great. Just don't stick them in your pants pockets!

Super light, can hear my surrounding without interrupting what I’m listening to. And you don’t get that sore ear feeling with having your headphones in for too long. Great buy!
