Customers admire Sid Meier's Civilization VI for its addictive and engaging gameplay, offering numerous possibilities and extensive playtime. The game's portability is also a significant plus, with many praising its convenience on the Switch. However, some users find the controls challenging and require time to master, while others mention the game's complexity and steep learning curve. The smaller screen size on the Switch is also noted as a potential drawback by some players.

Sid Meier's Civilization VI is a superb strategy game that offers a rich and complex experience on the Switch. The game adapts well to the console controls and the handheld mode. The game has tons of content and replay value, but lacks the Rise and Fall expansion. A must-have for fans of 4X games.

Great game to spend countless hours on. Runs quite smooth on the Switch even with large cities, which was a major concern of mine after moving from the Civ game from PC.

Best, most in-depth, and most fun Civ game yet

Civilization VI is the best Civ experience. The soundtrack, the narration by Sean Bean, the new aesthetic, and most importantly the gameplay. Also the cross-platform saves. It's amazing being able to play on my PC, then continue the same match on my Switch. The Civilization series is the most addicting and one of the best series of all time. I'm patiently awaiting Rise and Fall & Gathering Storm to arrive.

Game is great but too hard

I love the previous version of the game. It was a lot of fun and challenging. This version is hard and a bit confusing, you must do the tutorial to understand it. If you are basically starting a city getting resources, etc, you better watch out. This game has been made to make cities more important, For example: One city can be to make money, so you get the bank, business, etc. While city number 2 is your army, which you install a base, academy, etc. In other words, you must know exactly what you are doing and keep a balance of the game. One bad thing about this game: It glitches! So make sure you save the game often. It froze on me many times which I did not continue to play this game. Another is the PC version has a DLC while the switch version barely has two DLC in the market as of now.

This game is rigged against a single player. The AI used in the game puts you at a disadvantage from the start. You don't get to decide where your civilization begins. You have no control over necessary metals needed to advance. If you try to find a better place to start another city, I guarantee you, Barbarians will be there to waste your time and resources. Meanwhile, other countries are gaining advantages over you. By the 1600's-1700's the game is downright boring, unless winning to you is spreading a religion, which is just about the only way you can "win". Not exciting to me. You might be able to win by creating a science advantage. I never was able to get through the tutorial. Either it crashed, or the goal I was given was futile because the dang Barbarians kept wasting my time and resources. Wasted $60 bucks on it. After two weeks I dumped it in the trash.

An okay game, the pc version is definitely better but overall this version isn’t too bad. If you get from here though you’ll get inaccurate pick up in store times and inccorect shipping dates. I was able to order it for a one hour pick up and it wasn’t ready any time that day so the next day I ordered it on amazon, and the delivery dates were roughly the same but at least amazon was honest.
