Additionally it provides extra storage as well, but tall bottles will not fit in the drawer- I figure for stability purposes, it was designed to be only be a certain height to prevent excess wobbling during the spin cycle. I would have given it 4 stars if it were more affordable, but that’s up to LG. Overall, I like the pedestal as it brings up the overall height of the washer to a comfortable height.
