While the phone was indeed unlocked, the phone didn't carry a SIM card for simple mobile network. Once this purchase was made and installed into new phone-had no problem with install and phone functioned just fine for the network-original phone number kept. Must be a little technical to install into SIM card slot or simply have someone else replace it for you.
