This is one of the best security systems I’ve used in years

This is a good starter kit to get you up and running. You can always add more and customize your setup once you need to. Most components have batteries, but the main dome unit needs to be plugged in, (it does have a battery backup though). Simple to install the sensors where required and just follow the simple instructions to register each sensor with the base unit by using the key pad.

As it says and advertises, it's simply safe. Plug it in and go. Mount the sensors where you want and you can buy additional sensors as desired. I had to replace the main board to upgrade to 4G LTE but it was easy and well explained. You won't regret getting this.

Awesome solution easy to install and extremely reliable.

Bought this on sale from BB, including a free camera. Took only about 30 minutes to install everything except the camera. Camera took a little longer. Easy to use system. Once I add two smoke detectors, will sign up for their monitoring service, which is very reasonable . I’m very satisfied with the system. Highly recommended.

Bought this system on sale at BB. Replaced an ADT system. Initial set up was easy and without any hassle. Others have mentioned issues with sensors not sticking - I have not had any problems. Setup with alarm service was also without any hassle. With savings from ADT monthly monitoring service, this system should pay for itself after approx. 9 months.

So far I'm having a good time with my simplisafe system. I chose this based on reviews and overall acclaim this system has. My only cons are the double sided tape is barely sticky so I would reccomend you actually screw the items in or you attach a more construction grade tape. Overall, the package and setup are really nice and it was very easy to install.

I researched various DIY security systems and ultimately went with this one. As advertised, my SimpliSafe system was up and running in less than 20 minutes. The only negative I can think of is the fact that the wall mount does not chirp when you walk in and the alarm is set because it is supposed to be a "silent" monitoring system. Other than that, we love the added security for the house!.

This system is just right for an apartment. The system is easy to install and works as soon as it is set up. The home feature allows one to move freely while the system is activated. The away feature allows plenty of time to exit before the alarm is set. All in all a cool alarm system.

Does not work in large homes or older buildings with masonry or concrete in the walls. Sensors become disconnected, even in smaller units. SimpliSafe does not offer an extender, despite years of demand. This could be solved if their sensors operated as repeaters, which I assumed they did. Their support offers zero help, says too bad, should have built your home differently.

Thought I got it for a great deal, but like always. What you pay for is what you get. 1. The alarm was set off while I was not home, the alarm sound went off that my neighbors called me to inform me that an alarm was going off in my house. I Never received a call nor text nor email, from SimpliSafe at all. They have al my information and I received Nothing from them. Now, I purchased this equipment to provide security for my home. SimpliSafe did absolutely Nothing to provide that. Once I turned off the alarm, I called SimpliSafe to be told that “my call will be answered in approximately 23 minutes” Now you tell me, what type of security service makes you wait 23 minutes when you are calling them on the number they provided to call in case the alarm goes off? Well after patiently waiting my 27 minutes, i reach a Rude and unprofessional operator that was clearly having a terrible day and decided to go to work anyway. I asked her why SimpliSafe failed to contact me when the alarm was set off, she simply replied, “I cannot provide an answer to that because I dont know” I then requested to speak to a supervisor about the issue and she said her supervisor was busy and would call me back within 1 hour. So it is now the following day and I still have not received a call from anyone at SimpliSafe. I am canceling the service, and returning the equipment today. 2. The day I set up the system, I spoke with someone at SimpliSafe and since I was referred by someone, They give you a free Indoor camera to use with their system. The lady said it will ship out the filing day and should arrive in 3 days. It has now been 3 weeks and I still have not received any camera. I called to cancel and also asked about the camera, the supervisor replied that the camera is still in their warehouse and has not been shipped. 3. Their motion sensors do not work for big dogs, they will suggest to put sensor 4 feet from floor for big dogs. It does Not work. 4. Why would you buy a system that takes 25 to reach in case of an emergency, a system that does not call you, email you, or text you when the alarms go off in your home? Isn’t that the whole purpose of getting the system? Do not waste your Time or Money. You will regret it if something goes south in your home. Do Not trust this company.

We are very pleased with our SimpliSafe alarm system. We enjoy the convenience of the app, the affordability, and the simplicity of it. My husband was able to set it up all on his own and he is not very handy. We’ve set off the alarm a few times and we’ve received phone calls immediately from them. We are looking to purchase more chimes, window and door alarms.
