Love this purchase; it is just like the name- simple.

I liked the system but didn’t want to pay the monthly fees to have it monitored by the company. I wanted to have cameras, smart locks and door alarms but didn’t need the extra monitoring. They said you don’t need it for the system to work but that is false. It’s also an extra fee to be able to view your cameras connected. Maybe down the road I could use this but not right now

I got this this system because it works with Google, but only to find out you have to pay monthly subscription for it to work. You cannot do self monitoring. Returned.

Out of the box and one phone call and it’s ready!!

I get messages about other devices not responding. I know that because they are not connected. That feature should only be known when connected devices are not operating.

I am very disappointed in this product. Three out 12 of the sensors had batteries that were already dead when purchased and the adhesive was so poor that 10 minutes after the Best Buy technician “installed” them, the sensors fell off the wall and/or door. System is has only been in for less than a month and already malfunctioning—“sensors not working”. I so regret cancelling my service with another security provider and purchasing this product. Not worth the cost!!!

I tried a full Simplisafe system through my vacation home. Install was easy, but then learned no notifications available on my phone. and just try and get past being on hold when you call. Hopefully I can get a refund. DO NOT BUY SIMPLISAFE!!

I have 5 wireless security cameras inside and outside my home that run on batteries but needed something like this that would alert me when someone was actually trying to get into my home in the middle of the night. The cameras I have now take videos of movement and send notifications to my cell phone, but the notification is rather useless when I am sleeping or away and may have my phone turned off or no signal, etc. I feel now I can sleep peacefully knowing that the alarm will alert me instantly of an intruder. I am retired and home a great deal, but It is nice to know that if I decide to use the monitoring system, when on vacations this is an option for me and can be used pretty much as long as I want (monthly) since there is no contract. I love that if I move to another home, I can just unplug it and take the whole system with me because it is easy to disassemble and easy to set up. This is a GREAT option for someone who rents because you don't have to put holes in the walls and you can just use the double-sided tape (that seems very strudy). There are many add ons that I may consider in the future.

Good alarm system for an easy install. If you want to have more control then this is not for you. It does get you a discount on your insurance. Wish it was more open source.

No smart integration (cannot work with zigbee lights etc) Detailed Review --------------- The setup is very straightforward and like they advertise, no drilling, just peel and stick. The pad connects to the base station and base station connects to the wifi so you can locate the base either centrally or in your room so that you know the status. The base station has battery backup and a sim-card integration to make it cellular. At the time of review, i setup my system as a standalone only which means that if armed, it will sound the alarm if i did not put in the pin in a 30 seconds, the base station will sound the 85 db alarm. I also have a samsung smart thing which does pretty much the same thing but i do not have the alarm installed, however what i really like about the smartthings vs simplysafe is the text feature and alerting me about motion sensing or a break in sensor. Samsung Smartthings also have ADT professional monitoring but it has a higher upfront cost and its 24.99 a month so in that regard, simplisafe is cheaper for monthly monitoring. However, one plus point about samsung smartthings is that it can control your smart devices. Final thoughts, i think this is a good basic security system with no frills and no monthly contract but i would love them to add smart integration in their next version which will make it truely unbeatable

This new model will be replacing my 2nd generation simplisafe. Its way more sleek and streamlined, from the sensors to the control panel and the main hub, all of it received a revised look for 2018. They added new window decals, and a better made yard sign, including a stake. I would prefer a more sleek keypad but since its all wireless I can just toss it in a drawer and no one is the wiser anyway. I am disappointed that I am unable to use my old sensors and will be required to replace all of them to tie into the new system. It would have been nice to at least use the door and window sensors but I digress. Installation is a breeze as usual and the fees cant be beat. I do not know why anyone would pay so much for a alarm monitoring service when you can have this for way less. No guys in your house running wires, damaging walls, snooping and peering etc. Spend 10 minutes setting this up and your done!

I switched from the ring alarm to this simply for the door lock. Turns out I need a subscription to use. Very similar to ring alarm.

All the door sensors needed new batteries right after you unboxed them and the batteries are not cheap like 10$ for a two pack.

Be aware you have to pay for monitoring to have use of smartphone connectivity $25 a month for monitoring
