Base station was broken out of the box, and after 2 hours on the phone with Simplisafe support, the only recommendation I got was to “take the batteries out and put them back in.” I would trust a chimpanzee with a gun to secure my home before Simplisafe.

When i have packages or someone come to my front door, the camera 4 out of 10 times will not register motion detected. When you try and use the camera it always cuts off the feed and is unable to reconnect to the camera.

I tried to return the product to the store, but was told that I could not return it. Only had it for a few weeks. I was using a store credit card, so what is the problem? Never taken out of the box. I will no longer shop at this business again. I have been a valued customer for years.

Buggy, useless waste of money

The “base station is busy” about 3/4ths of the attempts to turn it in ir off, and the cameras need to be right next the tge router to stream security videos. The too tier also gives tyour camera info to the police, which is highly suspect

I have door locks, several cameras, motion detectors, etc. It was great for the first six years. During this time, I upgraded to the new 2.0 system. In the past year, I have had several cases of the cameras not responding. In the past three months, I have had three triggered alarms. Two were from motion detectors. All of them were faulty equipment. I have taken ALL motion detectors out. Tonight, my door locks would not respond when I got home. Thankfully, I did not put my garage door on the system or I would have been locked out. Something has changed over the past six months. Simplisafe now sucks and is unreliable.

Went through complete setup just to find that the cameras operate off of 2.4G vs 5G. So after going through all the work of install I’m left with an “antiquated” not detailed on the packaging or manuals camera system that doesn’t work! Go Nest if you want something actually engineered for todays networks. My review? Stay away.
