So it seems it has to be charged every 3 weeks not 3-4 months as the description says. I’ve had to fully charge it twice since I bought it 6 weeks ago. I changed the settings so it uses less battery such as turning security light off, only monitoring for people not all objects and yet the battery has to be charged again. I also had to buy a wireless extender because I continued to not be able to access the camera. I would wait to see if there are more SimpliSafe updates before purchasing because having to keep charging so frequently is frustrating

Easy to set up and easy to install. The magnetic mount makes it easy to take down and recharge the battery.

Why doesnt everyone have this?! Its one of the best very user friendly wireless outdoor security cam!

Great camera terrific video gives confidence for safety

Easy installation, decent video quality however, the performance of the system is very laggy. Maybe this is because it is SimpliSafes first wireless camera? Maybe there are more SW updates to be released? The cameras seem to take forever to load live view and seem to drop connection often. Overall, when conditions are optimal, whatever they may be, this is a great choice for a DIY security system,

I am very happy with these. I wish one thing you could set the motion only if the alarm is set.

This camera that worked great for the first month. Then I took it down to charge the battery and it's never worked the same since. It will not connect to the wi-fi in the location I need it to be. And once the sun goes down, and the motion sensor is triggered, the camera doesn't shut off, thus sending me push notifications every 3 minutes. I don't know if this is a system clock issue or the void of daylight. I can turn off the push notifications, but that defeats the whole purpose of the device. And if the camera doesn't shut off, the battery will be dead by morning. So now I have to settle for a security camera that's in a compromised location and a disabled motion sensor in the evenings. A wi-fi extender would likely fix the connection issue, but I'm not about to invest more money in this unreliable product. Why were there no issues for the first month? This puts me past BestBuy's return policy. SimpliSafe, you need to fix this.

Very nice camera and works seamlessly with the Simplisafe system. Very happy with my purchase.
