On the phone with tech support 3 hours they said i need a wifi extender with a deficated SSID. (My whole house is wired with no dead zones) OK I placed a netgear wifi extender right next to window. Literally 2ft from camera & wifi would drop. Switched to Google camera. PROBLEMS SOLVED.

I have it facing out a window looking at my front door 2 feet away and it never picks up anyone at the front door. Also it takes a long time to turn on in the app.

Posted .Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like you've set up your Outdoor Camera inside, looking through a window. Unfortunately, because it uses infrared to detect motion, the sensor is not able to work through glass. We strongly recommend setting it up outside.
