Normally I have a great experience with Best Buy but I’m incredibly disappointed with the experience for my most recent purchases, I really hope I don’t have any missing parts from the rest of the deliveries

This camera is a joke, it would not connect to my wifi no matter what tricks I tried. It makes no sense that my system and inside cameras are good but this one will not except for it being a bad design. Camera being returned. If you need outdoor cameras, i'd go with a different security system.

Does not hold wifi connection at all. Video feed takes insane amount of time to load (if it loads at all). Very disappointing since their indoor stuff works well. Unfortunately, my utdoor security will have to be with another brand. Returned this for Eufy.

Battery charge seems to last a while, but you'd have to apply your specified settings to the motion sensors. Daytime display is clear and sharp - up to a certain distance. Nighttime display is good also.

Wasn't just the battery pack, but the camera electronics stopped working. Not pleased at all. Contacted Simplisafe and they can't send me another camera for at least a month or more! First time I am completely dissatisfied with Simplisafe!

The built in lights are useless. I have several regular SimpliCams with outdoor kits, and they are far superior. I tried two of these for a week, and returned them. It seems that the outdoor kits are no longer available, which is a shame.

SimplISafe's outdoor camera is an excellent value for money. VIdeo quality is excellent for both day and night. It was a breeze to install (literally, 5 mins with a Philips head screwdriver). Motion sensor and camera streaming works really well. Two concerns: Once in 15-20 times the streaming takes a while to start. And with so many times the camera recording video (everytime someone comes in or goes out), battery life may not be more than 2-3 months.

If you have optimum i guess this isnt the camera for you

Posted .Sorry to hear that you had trouble setting up your Outdoor Camera. It sounds like there might be a compatibility issue with your WiFi router.
We suggest setting up a secondary or guest WiFi network, and make sure it's set to 2.4GHz and WPA2 security, and trying the camera setup again.

They show very good without using the out door cover. Finally SimpliSafe has come through and sent me a message that this camera was out. I purchased it a month ago and this is the bomb. It shows very well and I use the app for adjusting the light for motion. Yes it eats up the battery because I’m always checking my pad and the view from my living room onto the lake is to die for. Have to order the cord but Thanks SimpliSafe we asked and you came through with a excellent product.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.fully charge battery; then simple to set up (do this prior to mounting) to your Simplisafe system; two wood screws to mount the bayonet style bracket which attaches a magnet; “stick camera” to this mounting magnet and you’re finished-just position your camera “live” on your phone, pad, laptop or whatever and you’re all set. I have 4 of them and all function as pitched….very good product
