This system is very high quality and setup is easy. The sensors are sturdy and easy to mount. The base did not have any issues finding sensors mounted in varies places throughout the house. $14.99 for the monitoring plan is very competitive, however $25 to have app access is a little steep. Overall I am well pleased with what comes with the kit and the security functions provided.

Setting up simply safe was easy. Testing it was easy once we had the motion sensors in place. Works really well. I would recommend Simply Safe to everyone who is interested in an alarm system.

Nice kit and setup instructions. I signed up for the free trial month of their $25/mo plan and if all is well, plan to keep it. A couple of issues that I had with setup and the workarounds in case others have the same issues: 1.) WiFi Setup: ok, I do have a very long password for my router, but apparenetly there is a limit of 32 charachters that are allowed from the SimpliSafe keypad for the password. I wound up connecting it to a different WiFi network, but heads up if you by chance have issues. 2.) Setting up in my web browser was a pain. Kept getting blank pages in setup screens. I found this was due to my Ad Blocker. Once I deactivated it, browser setup and pages were fine. In the end, nice kit, hopefully works well and maybe will report back in a month or two. May even buy an extra sensor or two.

It only took a matter of minutes to setup the SimpliSafe devices and name each sensor. It took a total time of 30 minutes. Instructions are very good. Takes you step by step without fail. You can choose whether to set it up to use the service or just to sound the alarms if you desire. Very impressed at the ease of use.

This security system is great. It was so easy to setup and works great. Very fast response times and how loud that siren is is sure to scare anyone off. Very pleased with this system. Thanks Simplisafe

It’s very good, working as expected with best price

It is such a comforting feeling knowing that my home is safe(er). SimpliSafe has done an excellent job with their 2nd generation home security system and is a welcomed upgrade to their previous dated looking version. Setting up 6 perimeter sensors, 2 motion detectors, the keypad, and a camera (purchased separately) took about 20 minutes and another 5-10 minutes setting up the account and subscription; the best part, no drilling or wiring. The kit comes with the option to mount using the included double-sided tape or small screws, the smartphone application allows many customizable options, and the camera provides a clear picture inside my home day or night. For the price, there is no better system and after comparing to similar products from Nest and Ring, I found this to be the best option. My only complaint was that to get the best experience you have to choose the 24.99/month monitoring package over the 14.99. I feel that it should be 14.99 regardless.

I recently purchased the system based on reviews and looking at SimpliSafe web site. I purchased a complete system with extra siren, motion detectors, fire detector, indoor camera and door video camera. The only concern I had was the cellular signal in my home, since my area does not have good cell service. When looking on line I saw many links that said monitoring was 14.99/month, including SimpliSafe own website. There are no mention of any other monthly charges. There is no mention on the website that if you wanted recording for the door camera there was a cost of 4.99/month. After installing the camera I found out that it has very little value without the video recording, since even if you are home most of the motion activated alerts are gone by the time one is able to open up the app to see what happened on live view. So you must have recording with the door video camera. After further research I found that another well known brand provided recording with it's door video camera for less than 3.00/month. So I told SimpliSafe that I wanted to return the door camera and why. The agent said fine and provided a prepaid return postage mailing label. So that was very nice. When I got around to installing the rest of the system I started with the indoor camera. For me, the indoor camera was to see what was going on "live" if there was an alert. Thus I wasn't concerned with the 4.99/month recording fee. The SimipliSafe App works very good with the camera. My real issue with SimipliSafe came after installing the main security system and while testing it to see how the cellular signal was. I found out that in order to take advantage of all the features of the app for the security system I would have to pay an extra 10.00/month or a total of 24.99/month. No where on SimpliSafe website or the reviews I read was there an extra charge for the full function app. I found out about the price difference when I looked at my plan on line and noticed that it said 24.99 instead of 14.99. I called and talked to an agent and was told that if I wanted a full functioning App on my cell or computer it would cost 24.99 and they only had the two plans. I was told that the 24.99 did include having recording capabilities on any camera that you had, but I explained that I really didn't care about the cameras. I mentioned that I felt that an extra 10.00/month for a fully functional App was a little much, that on the website there was no mention of the App costing extra. The agent agreed that he could not find any mention on the website of any other costs besides the 14.99. So SimpliSafe has provided me with a return mailing label, which I will use to return the complete system to them. I will go with the other brand that charges only about 10.00/month which includes the complete app functions and the recording for all their different cameras and save myself 200.00 per year

I’ve been using the SimpliSafe Home Security System for about a month now. I have to say I’m very impress with it. The fact you can add more components is a plus and monthly monitoring service is about $15 per month which is the most basic option. If you decided NOT have the monitoring service the base station acts as an loud car alarm. There is a battery backup for the base station so if the power goes out its still on.

This is a great system and easy to install. I first purchased the Ring because it had the more options to expand than the competition. But, something said, go back and get the Simplisafe System. I really liked how easy the system was to setup and I am pleased with the system. I do recommend getting some 3M strips. They will keep your sensors on your door areas better, especially if you have uneven molding. I got this system with a free doorbell cam, which was great. My only thing with Simplisafe is that their accessories are slow to market. There is still no motion lights. Again, this is not a deal killer, but in this market, you have to move and make relationships. I am paying for the premium monitoring which is $24 per month. They are upfront on their cost and it is reasonable. I highly recommend this system.

Whoever said you needed a home security system that cost a million dollars is crazy. This thing is perfect discreet comes with everything you need and you can always buy add one. This is the home security system I'm going to have for the rest of my life.

Easy installation, good price my only problem is that when the alarm goes off it’s not loud enough.

For some reason I thought this system didn't require payment for monitoring. I was wrong. You don't have to sign up, but if you don't, you have an alarm you're unable to self-monitor. As everyone has said, it is easy to set up. And the siren is loud - loud enough for an apartment for sure. But if I can't self monitor it will just go off and I won't know. Advertising just wasn't clear enough for me. Even adding on the least expensive plan doesn't give me smartphone access and notifications. Unfortunately, this unit isn't for me. But it just might be for you.

The system does a good job protecting your home and for a very reasonable cost. Easy to set up, I did have to play around with the motion detectors to get the in a good spot at the right hight as I have a cat that would trip them now and then but after playing around around looks like all is well..... The camera is a different story, it needs some improvement on the wifi end of it as it keeps dropping connection with the router

I love the ease of set up. Just know that you WILL NOT BE be able to link up with Alexa unless you PURCHASE the monthly service plan.

This is so easy to set up. No wires needed. I like the fact you can use your phone and remote control.

Thisnis thebmost unprofessional home monitoring system ive ever experienced. Going from gen 1 which had much elss issues to the newer gen 2 device, i can not ever have one day where i can trust my safety with this company. The video feeds do not allow you to watch and will cut feed and fail if you try and view camera feed while its recording. Ive had now 3 experiences where my systen has factory reset randomly and i cant access any of my security system. This is not a trustworthy company for someone to use to keep their home and family safe. Do not put your trust into this system as its not reliable.

we switched from protection one ( 30 + yrs ) to SimpliSafe due to cost wise getting ready for retirement and we are totally satisfied with the results same results as protection one and lot cheaper . why couldn't protection one offer the same deal.. we being using the new system for 1 yr now.WOW!

Nothing simple about this product. The tape used to hold the sensors is cheap which is likely why it comes with screws. Then I try to setup on the app and it fails requiring a call. Almost an hour on the phone and they could not get it working. They stated they would call me back in 45 minutes. 2 hours later I called in. They had no notes on file. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told the system was not working properly but they would call me back. Lol. Returned the product and bought the nest secure. Now that was simple and much better quality. Don't waste your time or money on this.
