Biggest issue is sometime door stays locked and you are stuck inside as motor jams. Hopefully SimplSafe corrects this issue as it is great idea

Posted .Thanks for the review! Yes, our Smart Lock is similar to other models, designed to install over an existing deadbolt. If you don't already have one on your door, you'll want to install one of those as well.

What it doesn’t say is you HAVE TO HAVE THE SECURITY SYSTEM to use it. Installed it, downloaded the app, then it tells you that you have to use the security base.
