Easy installation and good camera with awesome video. The night vision video is not the best, but does what we need it to do

Awesome item works great and has a great picture that you can see everything going on.

Poor Quality control from Simplisafe. This item was returned because it did not work. Purchased another item from a different store and it worked perfectly. If your unit does not work perfectly, RETURN IT. Simplisafe products have poor quality control. The Simplisafe rechargeable outdoor camera is MUCH BETTER than their doorbell!! Better video, audio and quality overall than this item.

The unit installed easily to the home wiring and was easily accessible to my my cell phone. Based on the size of the unit, location of the wiring it was difficult to have the unit flush with the exterior of the home. The functionality worked, but there was a 2 second delay on the video and the audio only allowed one person to speak at a time. The person it was purchased for was not the most tech savvy person, so the additional effort of going to the opening up the app was a little too much for them. As I said in the summary the unit worked okay, but it was below my expectations. Had I know the limitations I may have purchased a different model. Some of this falls up on me for not doing enough research. While I would recommend the unit, I would let the limitations be known up front.

I know the price might be a bit high (as my entire system was only $30 less), but I feel the addition was worth it. It is easy to install (pending you already have doorbell). I did have an issue reading the QR code when installing as the glare from outside. I did bring it inside and was able to sync it. I love the product since purchasing. I get notified every time there is movement. With shippers leaving packages on your doorstep , it is good to know that you can have a piece of mind if anything happens.

Was initially really excited for this doorbell, especially after waiting a about a year due to the buzz around the product. The product is also advertised to be compatible with almost all doorbell chimes/transformers. Picked up the product from BestBuy and packaging was top notch. Even included 3 different faceplates. Installation went very easily. Turned the power back on and that's where the disappointment began. A constant humming noise was coming from my doorbell chime box. Whenever I slid the doorbell off its mount to troubleshoot, the sound stopped instantly. Gave a call to SimpliSafe support, and they said that I may need a Doorbell Chime Connecter. They are shipping this out to me for free, but its on backorder and they have no ETA at this time. Based on the forums and digging around online, many people are having the same issue. This Doorbell Chime Connecter is something that should have been included with the product, or this functionality should have been built into the SImpliSafe doorbell itself. To be marketed as the most compatible doorbell is a bit deceiving. Additionally some are saying that it does not work with digital door chimes. I'll update my review if the promised Doorbell Chime Connecter works.

Very clear camera and easy to install. I highly recommend this doorbell for your SimpliSafe system.

Out of the box set up was easy. Uses existing wiring to power the doorbell and camera. Produces a clear picture and motion detection works well. Nice looking design with different color faceplates. I had everything installed and working in 15 minutes.

I got the doorbell for a good price. The app needs work because everytime you open it it wants you to activate. Picture quality is great. Don't like the fact that it does not come with an angle mount or swivel. I had to buy one because of were my doorbell is.

Great doorbell camera. This was included with a total SimpliSafe security system and I’m glad it was. I have found it very helpful to track packages and talk to people when I’m not home. It has also helped deter some troublesome neighborhood kids. Quality video and sound. There is a delay but I think every doorbell camera has that. The app gets easier to use with every update also but it’s always been pretty easy to use.

Really easy to install, good quality, a very good camera range

I had gotten this installed right after I moved into a new home. It has so far been the best improvement I've made! It's so easy to set up and super convenient to use. I get notifications of movement as well as if someone is at the door. I was out at dinner once when someone had mistakenly made a delivery to my house and I was able to excuse myself to communicate with them. Definitely recommend these to my friends and family!

I purchased this to add to my existing simplisafe system. So far it is great. I get very prompt motion alerts, bell alerts and also good quality while speaking to persons at the door. Installation wasn't too hard, i just connected to the existing wires of my old doorbell and followed prompts from the Simplisafe app.

Very reliable camera. Does not sense every movement such as trees and vehicles driving by.
