I would give it a five, but there’s about a 3 second delay from the time movement is picked up when the IPhone or IPad receives the alert. Picture and sound is great!

Great doorbell for the price! It's nice to have a doorbell that works with other Simplisafe products like the security system and door lock. Easy to install. My favorite feature is a notification every time there is movement with recorded video, without a monthly subscription.

Easy to install. Need to have existing door bell system with low volt wire run to exterior door bell button. Works right away. Perfect integration into Simplisafe system.

Simple install, just unhook old doorbell and connect this one. As our front door is recessed somewhat, I had to add a small wooden block to bring the camera out enough for a good view toward the street and the front steps. Another competing brand has its camera view show in setup and you can "block" certain areas in the image to reduce false triggers. Would be useful for SimpliSafe. NOTE that this does NOT connect with the Simplisafe network but is a stand alone device that sends notices to your cell phone (and smart watch like an Apple watch).

The doorbell was very easy to install and has been working great. There’s a slight delay in the feed which is a little frustrating, but overall we are very happy with it.

This awesome little thing notified me that someone was on my front porch trying to set my house on fire this past September... I was completely flabbergasted, but it took clear videos of everything enough to be used in court.

Live view is free with resolution that is excellent during the day and great at night. Able to zoom and listen live. App notifications are very quick, with different tones for motion detected and doorbell rang. App & notifications also work great when used with two doorbells on different homes.

Got this as an addition to an existing Simplisafe system. Although a bit bulky in size, it is no less obtrusive than equivalent products from competitors. Only thing missing is a proper wedge for bells/door jambs that are not forward-facing. Otherwise, a good product that integrates well into the Simplisafe ecosystem.

This has been a great addition to my SimpliSafe system. The camera lets you know when someone comes to your door so you can see who is there without opening door. You can talk to the person through a speaker and of course it works as a doorbell. You are alerted to this information wether your home or not

Very happy we got this product. Really give us piece of mind. Important to note-- it needs to be wired and wired to your chime if you want a chime. Also, you need to get a chime connector from Simplisafe. They will send you one for free but you have to contact them. We thought this would be an easy install but ended up needing an electrician. Lastly, it is a pretty sensitive camera so goes off for leaves sometimes but I rather have it be extra sensitive than the opposite so overall, very pleased with the product.

While I have cameras covering the entries of my house, they don't have a useful motion detection function. Adding this device provided an event driven component to my security. I had initially purchased directly from SimpliSafe, but discovered that their SKU does include the colored face plates, (only white.) I returned it and purchased one from BestBuy. The doorbell includes as wedge to somewhat compensate for lapped siding, but no horizontal angle. Search for Nest Hello angle mount if your doorbell is perpendicular to your entrance. While the face plates come in white, jade, and black, the body and wedge are off-white. I covered mine with black vinyl film, which actually worked out well. Hopefully, that will be an option for all black in the future. The motion sensing seems to be about right. I only get false alarms from garbage trucks, once a week. I have an older townhouse and needed to request a resistor component to stop some buzzing I would occasionally get from my chime mechanism. But that was provided by Simplisafe via email request. All in all, I’m happy with my purchase.

What a great investment! This works very well and it is so easy to install. Just turned off the power and unscrewed the old ringer and connected the new one. The online instructions are very easy. Now I can see who is by the front door with out getting up and even talk to them.

Very happy with it. Simplysafe was super helpful in providing us with a chime connector and that has made it work perfectly. Since we have the monitored system it has fit right in and pushes notifications through to my phone really fast - faster than my experience with Nest cams. So, we're happy with it.

I really am very happy with my SimpliSafe system as a whole. This is the 2nd video doorbell I have installed. It is very easy to install. I would recommend it as a first add or an addition.

Great image, wide view! It doesn’t say it anywhere but I’m pretty sure this can run off of battery as well which makes it a huge plus for me even though I had to run new wire to hard wire it. Great investment.
