Very easy to install and get up and operating (less than 1 hour including removing old door bell, rewiring, and hook internet hookup). Not as many options as Ring- but does the job.

We replaced our Ring doorbell with the SimpliSafe so that we can share the same app as our home security system. The simplisafe doorbell underwhelmed and we did not like the fact that once it receives motion it won’t sense anything else for 5 minutes. We ultimately returned the Simplisafe doorbell and reinstalled our Ring

This is our 2nd simplisafe doorbell since our other one stopped connecting to our wifi. This 2nd one doesn’t seem to start recording as quickly as our old one did. For example, the old one would catch motion while they’re in the street or driveway while this new one only starts recording when they’re right in front of the door. Also it says video not available way too much even though our wifi is fine.

Bought this for a new home and have been very happy with it. senses motion really well, sometimes a little laggy but mostly very good

It took a minute to charge even though it was direct wired, assume it was the installers problem (me). Does everything I want a doorbell camera to do.

Works perfectly with our Simplisafe alarm system. Even if you don’t have an entire security system this doorbell is awesome. Always see who’s at your door and even talk to them.

Clear pictures but speaking and someone hearing you isn’t good

The video doorbell does exactly what we need it to do. We wanted something motion activated to help us monitor who is coming up to the door and this does exactly that. Also, the app notifies us when the motion sensor is activated which is nice. We are able to tie this into our existing set up and only use one app.

This works. But doesn't pan, the Zoom is a digital zoom, and you can't watch the camera for very long without it losing connection. Probably because it's kind of far from the router, but it's a doorbell... It's going to almost always be far from the router.

Great accessory to add to your Simply Safe system. Highly recommend this and the camera works great!

Great addition to my Simplisafe home system. Easy setup and installation.

I have a SimpliSafe alarm system and was happy to see that SimpliSafe came out with a doorbell camera a few weeks ago that is supposed to be compatible with their alarm system so I decided to purchase this item. I’m pretty tech savvy and figured this would be a quick and easy setup. I went through all of the steps to connect the doorbell camera as described through the SimpliSafe app. After over 30 attempts the doorbell camera would not connect to my system. It would always say “the WiFi password you entered is incorrect” even though the password entered every time was the correct password. I called and spoke with a rep from SimpliSafe 3 times and all 3 times the reps seemed to not really understand their product. They would put me on hold for several minutes so they could speak with someone else in their office to learn more about the product. They had me confirm that my WiFi router was using a 2.4ghz channel and that the signal was strong enough to reach my front door, which it was. After almost an hour of talking to reps they decided to send me a replacement doorbell camera because they felt maybe the product was defective and asked for me to send it to them once the new one arrived. After waiting 2 days for the new one to arrive I immediately attempted to connect it to my system. It connected to my system for about 20 seconds and showed a grainy/delayed picture. It then shut off and the new doorbell started to say the same thing as the previous one, “the WiFi password you entered is incorrect”. I attempted to connect the product over 10 more times but it never worked. Not only was this purchase a waste of money it was an even bigger waste of my time. It’s several hours of my life I’ll never get back. I will be attempting to return this product to Best Buy and the replacement product back to SimpliSafe ASAP. I quickly learned that SimpliSafe’s doorbell camera doesn’t come close to competing with Ring. This experience has frustrated me so much that I have decided to cancel my alarm monitoring service with SimpliSafe, disconnect their alarm system from my home and purchase alarm equipment with monitoring from Ring instead. I suggest staying away from this doorbell camera. Save your money and time! Try a product from a competitor that’s been in the market for awhile and has a proven track record of being reliable.

If you have the Simplisafe package, then it would fit right into the configuration. It’s just hard to resist the cheaper and just as good options such as Wyze, Ring (certain models), etc. even if they are not part of the same brand. It’ll just be another app to open and use, so it depends on your preferences.

Camera takes good pictures. Very clear. Highly recommended to anybody who wants to have a video doorbell.

The doorbell camera works good for the porch area.
