Great addition to your S.. S.. Security system.

It was a wonderful addition to my Simply Safe alarm system and works great with the security system. The at the time I purchased it it was one of only a few on the market. I have other door cams but it still out performs others with pictures clarity. It can record in 720 or 1080P. It is very similar to the Nest door cam in design.

Good video quality, beware installation

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After I installed mine I discovered that the existing doorbell chime no longer worked, and in fact this unit causes it to emit a constant, irritating buzzing noise that cannot be stopped. To fix this you need to get the ChimeConnector transformer, which is not for sale anywhere, but you have to call SimpliSafe customer support. On the plus side, recent updates to the software have the option to have the base station make a bell sound when the doorbell is rung. However it's not be loud enough to be heard everywhere in my home.
