Lags but good. You should get it if you already have a doorbell to replace

Works ok but the camera screen in the app is pretty small.

Easy to install, great connectivity, the only down side is you have to have a full SimpliSafe system in order to use amazon Alexa or receive full ap access

Nice add on door bell for those with Simplisafe security.

I have had a SimpliSafe alarm system for years now so I thought why not have the matching door bell camera. It work okay but is nothing special. It is also large as far as depth goes. The Skybell I had worked much better than this one does but unfortunately the Skybell ran into a problem with connecting to the network.

Love the clarity and reliability. I would recommend this over the ring equivalent and i own both

Not my first choice for doorbell security. Maybe just a bad unit bought for my mom six months ago then just stopped working. No power surge or anything id go Ring or Arlo if you are looking for a doorbell or Google all of these seem to work better and last longer from my experience.

Simply Safe makes me feel simply unsafe! The lag on picking up motion is horrible, the cameras are difficult to “wake up” (if they do at all and you don’t get a connection error message), and the picture quality is lacking. Internet connection speed is not the problem, it is simply a poor system. Would not recommend.

Not as effective as ring for individuals that don’t ring the bell.

Only real issue I have is mic quality suffers if it is windy outside.

Love the simplisafe camera easy install and setup make sure you have the monthly membership with simplisafe so you save videos and use the server.

This camera is a great fit for my house, it turns on automatically, records the event and see everything in really wide angle. Buying another one for the back door.

What a great deal. I have my winter place monitored 24x7 with SimpliSafe. the main system works over cell towers but the video for the doorbell works over your WIFI.

While this video doorbell is indeed easy to install, it does have issues. First, it is fairly narrow and in my case didn't completely cover the holes from the original doorbell that it replaced. I had to install it on a wall 90 degrees from the door as there was no way to move it from the existing location without major stucco repair work. At this angle it only triggers about 80% of the time. Not sure if the angle is the issue or if it is just the way it operates. I have read other people have the same issue even with it mounted on the same wall as the door. I bought this as part of the Simply Safe alarm sysytem. To actually view recordings of activity you have to pay for the higher priced monitoring service as well. So all the $15/mo advertising does NOT include video doorbell recordings. Separate review for the alarm system....

Works as expected but falls off of the network on occasion

Neat doorbell, works great, love it. I highly recommend you buy this one if you need a camera doorbell.

Good product. Best Buy Total Tech installed and installers were great. Very committed to detail and set up was perfect.

We have used SimpliSafe for a little over a year and it is absolutely garbage. We have all doors and windows sensors, 2 motion sensors, a wireless camera for our backyard and the wireless doorbell camera. We have 5GB/sec industrial fiber optic internet and WiFi that can be connected to over 6 blocks away. This system, especially the doorbell, constantly will not pick up activities around our house including people walking right up to our front door. When contacting SimpliSafe regarding issues they just try to pass the blame to the customer’s internet connection rather than even the slightest possibility that their equipment is faulty. This system is so untrustworthy and reliable I didn’t even try to sell the used system because I wouldn’t want to pass this thing off to anybody else. Instead it went straight in the trash and I installed a system from another company that actually works.

The motion sensor dose not work! Has problem picking up movement even in the highest setting! Can’t even watch live footage even though it’s a option! Will be returning
